The battle continueeess! And then ends, I really have nothing specific to say. Yes, I know that Piplup is a water type so it’s surprising it was defeated by BUBBLE, but Manaphy is also a legendary and “Tail glow” boosts the special attack more.. making bubble a wee bit stronger than that. So yeah.. Lucy was at a disadvantage.. especially after missing.
Her fury finally bursts in real life!! Poor thing.. this was just a dramatization of their game-playing.. hence why Mike is holding the DS.
Not really the funniest end in the world, but it seemed amusing in my head! Poor Maishul.
Hopefully this installment entertains! Next week (if on time), the cast will be back in school.. but it’ll be an amusing filler. After that, the arc will recommence and finally resolve itself.. stay tuned! I can’t make any promises for on-time comics, but please hang around! We’re not going anywhere!

Okay, so Mike’s manaphy must have been holding a lax incense or brightpowder, because that’s the only way piplup could miss with peck, which has 100 accuracy. Also, their speeds must have been nearly equal, because that’s the only way that manaphy could go last on the first turn, but first on that second turn. Plus, Mike must have a manaphy with a high Sp Def IV, otherwise bubble wouldn’t KO piplup, because it has only 20 power or so, and it’s not very effective. Oooooooorrr, Taeshi could just not know anything about Pokemon so she made this one up, but I think it could happen

Lucy is a Mew, so she can use any move she wants. Thrash, Slash, Beat Up, Close Combat…. If Lucy was her own pokemon, she’d be a Fighting and Ice type. Tsundere. derp.

I’m wondering how a Manaphy was able to beat Piplup with Bubble. Even if Manaphy is a legendary, that doesn’t automatically make it superior. I mean, I have a Celebi that’s pretty strong, but it only knows one real attack, and that attack is Leaf Storm, and it seems to lower its Special Attack so much that it is hardly ever useful if used twice in a row, so I usually only use Celebi when I am sure I can take out my foe in one shot with it, because then I have to return it or risk wasting the attack and/or having Celebi get knocked out! I know that example kinda sucks, but seriously, some legendaries aren’t that powerful early on, and just because it’s legendary, doesn’t mean it can take out a water-type pokemon with an old low-level attack of the same type without using the move more than once to do it. Bubble isn’t that good of a move in my opinion, and to tell the truth, I hardly ever remember it exists because I see it used so rarely.
