I was originally gonna make up a song for Roseville High School.. then I realized how rubbish I am at writing songs/poetry/anything.. so I decided to make this page completely without dialogue. Except for the “eh-hem”, of course.

Lucy doesn’t want to sing, but you can see the gym teacher forcing her on panel four. That used to happen to students who didn’t want to recite the pledge of allegiance back when I used to go to High School. The teacher would glare at them or even stop and order them to go along.. so that’s what’s happening to Lucy in the pep rally, for those curious of what’s going on between those panels.

Even if her voice is perfect, I kind of doubt it would be loud enough to drone over everyone else’s. Then again, I don’t know. Depends on the softness or sharpness of the anthem they were singing.

@NintendoSegaSonyGuy: It’s probably not loud enough to drown out everyone, but notice the progression of the panels. It starts with Mike, then Paulo and Yashy, and then Sue and everyone else. It’s a general domino effect going on - as people nearby stop singing to listen to Lucy, the noise drops enough for the next row of people to hear, who then stop singing, and so forth.

This is a really Mary Sueish trait exaggerated to a ridiculous extent in this scene. I’m glad the ‘perfect singing’ thing has died down a little. Lucy just seems to be good at everything the moment it matters: she can sing better than anyone, everyone thinks she’s ‘the hottest girl in the year,’ she can fight off a guy who’s twice her size and hold her own for damn long enough for it to be ridiculous. It just lets her down as a character that she has all these tacky cliche talents.
