David has already demostrated it was pretty deep, so if he entered in a tapered poition, it would break all surface tension.
Also, as Mythbusters has shown us, those rocks would have broken the surface tension as well, so at worst, he probably just got smashed on the riverbed xwhile the current dragged him along.

I have to admit, the way Sue acts in panel 2, 3, and 4 are a huge turn on.

Man, this page is dripping with SueXMike love. Same with this whole scenario. Sue reacted heavily when Mike dropped, but so did everybody. Except that Sues reaction was in more of a focus. I know Mike is Sues friend, but friends don’t hug like sue is in panels 2-3-4. Well as far as I can tell.

Even in panel 3, Alec is confused over Sues reaction to finding him intact.
