I’m actually really excited to see this prequel bit here. It’s been so long since we’ve seen Lucy… well, I would say happy, but that’s not quite right. Normal, I guess? And Mike isn’t as insensitive, Paulo’s back to being awesome with less emotional stuff, and David is… David.

I’m just glad for this change of pace, okay?

Haha well I must say it is quite the change to see it in black and white again. I will certainly enjoy the additional insight. Been a while since I’ve read that arc so I suppose a recap would be nice… I’m too lazy to go back and read them… ^_^* tee hee

Though on the note of the name, it automatically made me think of new years lol. My bday was yesterday so I suppose it’s only appropriate to have the chapter “starting over” be a bit of a theme huh? :p

Not gonna lie. Kind of bummed that it’s going to take another 10 weeks to get back to the main story. I mean, I get that it’s meant to give you more time to work, but now we have go through a ton of backstory again when everyone was excited to move on. I’ll be following anyway, love this comic, just a bit anxious to move on with the raw, emotional, story changing chapter that seems to be looming over the horizon. Anyway, on with the story!

7…7???? MONTHS?? I give up on this comic it really isn’t worth my time anymore all the intermissions are just staling the REAL STORY i wanna know what happends next but i guess were all gonna have to live with it.

31 pages at 3 pages a week is 10 weeks, thats between 2 and 3 months, not 5-7.

Personally speaking, I’m already enjoying the POV shift. It’s like the Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days storyline in the sense of giving us an alternate look of events that have already happened.

I’m eager to see the story in the present time, with more of that new art style, which is still new with the comic overall. Oh well, no biggie, so long as I’m alive and Taeshi is alive, it’s fine. In fact, I’m glad that Taeshi clearly isn’t rushing the story, sure it may take a while but it will make it turn out a better story than rushing all through! Back in the day, there was no internet to view the progression of comics, they were just released when they were done. It doesn’t mean they did it in 2 days or something, it takes time everyone, don’t be surprised!

@Taeshi Also, I admire the fact you’re able to switch back and forth between mediums! Seems you’ve drawn this chapter in the style you were using during that time in the story (rather than just throwing in a colored chapter). Just thought I’d let you know I find that neat.

Just got into this comic recently and I can’t stop back reading; this is all so wonderful! Though the comments sometime….yeesh! I’ve followed an online comic for the past 9 years that only updates ONCE a week; in my eyes, you lot are getting spoiled to Hell. Looking forward to reading many more of your comics in the near future. Oh, and the page-saving feature? BRILLIANT.

@Nikita: I’m bored, so random speculation on the answers. Barrettes or earrings, I imagine. Her hair doesn’t look long enough for barrettes, but earrings would normally be lower down. Ear barrettes, maybe?

Daisy has Abbey as a boyfriend, so she’s happy, and he’s probably weighing the pros and cons of an apple versus a banana with his lunch, so he’ll be to the table shortly.

I’m guessing Paulo’s sweating because David looks like he’s barking to tease him (or just saying something embarrassing, equally likely in a story that summarizes events to bring new characters up to date on the rest of the story).

The same reason I’m answering them: boredom and curiosity.

I’m actually quite glad BCB is finally making a good ‘hey, this is the comic!’ chapter. I’ve tried to show my friends BCB a few times, but there’s not a good starting point. You can start at the beginning, but it’s difficult to see past the low-grade art that BCB once was. You could start somewhere in the middle, or just start on the newest comic, but then there’s a serious feeling of confusion, as every characters actions and interactions are based on aspects of their personality or their past. (WHICH I LOVE.)
If this is as-advertised, this will be an excelent jumping-on point, which the comic sorely needed.
And it will be as-advertised, ‘cause the Tae don’t dissapoint.

@Nikita: To do hyperlinks, you have to do the actual html code. Here’s a tutorial. (Copy/pasting from a tutorial is the easy way.) You need a ‘less than’ sign, the letter “a” followed by a space, then href=”url” (the letters U-R-L get replaced by the actual url, which seems obvious but it never hurts to be clear), then a ‘greater than’ sign.
