I was going to try to sleep until I remembered that it was almost Wednesday, so instead I took to switching between my Facebook and obsessively refreshing the last page.
What? Who’se obsessed? Not me!

Green eyes gets the green gun. Paulo’s color coordination really says a lot about both his mindfulness and masculinity.

Paulo and David vs. Mike Abbey Lucy and Daisy… seems legit i guess Paulo does care about Mike since he actually made sure Mike had a water gun first .

Edit: poor Paulo he hasn’t realized the massive mistake he has made Lucy is not going to let herself get hit so easily, Mike has speed on his side, Abbey is probably going to enjoy aiming his water gun at Paulo’s head and Daisy has Abbey as a shield since he is going to do his best to protect her. I can also see Lucy as SOMEONE WHO DOESN’T LIKE LOSING.

Is the caring thing that Paulo gives Mike the green water gun because it matches his eyes? because that would be absolutely fantastic

Now if it were me, I’d be letting mike and Lucy be on the same team because as proven in previous chapters Paulo does have respect for mike, and in a possible scenario could be giving mike the chance to “be the hero” when Lucy gets wet. I don’t think paulo’s really thinking it through all the way if that is at all close to it, but that’s just me. In a simple statement, love interest. Though at the same time, Paulo likes Lucy as well so idk.

Another possibility would be that Paulo just wants him to play. I suppose I would probably have better judgement of the subliminal messages if I wasn’t so tired lol.

He gave Mike a water gun! (To his face.) To better protect his upper body which Paulo cares so deeply about.

Well, according to Taeshi’s formspring Mike’s favorite color is green, so Paulo must have saved the green gun for Mike. That and the fact that Paulo tossed the gun at Mike’s face instead of trying to bean him in the nuts must be his way of showing he cares.

If I’m not mistaken they all have somewhat coordinated water guns 0-o.

I get it. Paulo wants to take out Lucy first so that Mike wont have to be all protective of her. If lucy os down, mike can have fun instead of worrying if she was okay all the time.

I think since Lucy got over Mike she’s not afraid of water anymore but that’s just a mere hypothesis, conjecture, an assertion that might’ve accidentally the screwed this whole chapter I guess sorry if it happens, happened last time too.

So hitting someone in the face with a water gun can be taken as a sing of affection… At this point it actually does makes sense and I am willing to accept that

I’d take Paulo’s concern for Mike as him hitting him over the head with the water gun in the second panel. Well done, was sad when I realized the last page wasn’t posted yet. I’m very curious to see what happens next.

Even if Lucy isn’t actually affected by water guns, it’s a pretty dick move to try and use someone’s phobia against them (and they’re not even playacting as supervillains). I mean, phobias are pretty serious business and I wouldn’t call someone a friend if they made a point to try and exploit a phobia for their own entertainment.

Maybe I am taking Paulo too seriously. I mean, obviously Lucy will be unaffected so it’s a wash in the end (ha!) but the fact that he intended to exploit her is pretty mean. He probably doesn’t even realize it.

There seems to be a few things I want to point out:
The first is that Lucy is more aquaphobic than hydrophobic because hydrophobia involves fluids/liquids while aquaphobic just involves water although hydrophobia was the Greek term for fear of water but is coined as aquaphobia the Greek-Roman term. The debate on that is another story.

As for my non-clarifying comment: Paulo is gonna get owned. After how long Paulo has known about her its funny that Lucy’s competitiveness will prevail over his foolish plan.

What is this now? Mike and Lucy can bear to be in a 20-foot radius of each other?

I’ve got a bit of hydrophobia myself (or aquaphobia) and yeah, I’d say he’s overestimating it. Squirt guns and such wouldn’t bother ME anyways, nor would even having a bucket of water thrown on me, which it ALMOST looks like Lucy is getting in Paulo’s imagination. That or some sort of squirt-shotgun.

I like the idea of Paulo giving Mike the green gun being the thing he is mindful/caring about. My initial thought?… The gun is empty. Which I imagine would not only hurt less (as opposed to filling it then throwing it) but I can also see Paulo doing that just to screw Mike over a little. But the comments make me think it’s the green thing!

I think I figured out what he did that shows he cares. He allowed both Mike and Lucy to be on the same team so they wouldn’t end up having to go against one another (back then I don’t think they were fighting,) and he also interrupted the conversation by pinging him with the gun, Lucy didn’t exactly look ecstatic that Daisy was hugging him, “join my team!”. He defused a possibly ugly situation.
