Me thinks it could be a ploy of some kind but I tend to over think things. I bet you all five bucks it’s something.

well its obviously something. He screwed up badly, and I think that it was somewhat clear from the last few coimics that Sue has been trying to get them all to come and try, even if she doesn’t know if they can act. I swear though, if she manages to stir up any more angst then I will be kinda disappointed in her intelligence.

I got a feeling of that it’d barely be any new minor characters introduced within this play. Just a feeling tho.

Question: Who’s in charge of the Play:
Sue (because she selfishly decides to give Mike the Lead even though others were better) or the other Girl?

it looks like all three of them are somewhat in charge.The other girl was trying to get them to all come to an agreement. Sue just seems to have made a final call that the rest are not happy with.

I am also praying that sue is smarter then trying to set up Mike and Lucy. It would actually be pretty dang mean.

Is Mike popular again?
If all this happened before Paulo called Mike a cheater (we all know how much Mike was hated after that^^), then we could have seen all the girls trying to get the female lead.

So... is he popular again? Can we expect to see lots of girls trying to get the female lead?

Well that bit of events was back in freshman year, so to some extent he should be popular again. Maybe not as much as before, but quite a sight to behold for the new freshmens.

@Namorax, how do you know the other people were better, you didn’t even see there audition! plus michael was obviously playing an older guy in the play, so maybe sue thought he was was perfect becuase he was forgeting everything... (like an old person)

I’m not crapping out on sue yet, she’s been smart all this time.
Plus she wouldn’t do something stupid like to put them togaether in the play.

I get the sense that Mike doesn’t want the lead. Considering his previous comment on how the “last guy was rea—” he may even have messed up on purpose.

Oh, and as I understand it, many people have redone “Romeo and Juliet.” Something about it being public domain.

i sensed there was some preferential treatment going on with who was going to be in the play, that or sue just made the characters in the play to reflect other people in this comic like mike and paulo and so on

@taishi: It is possible to make something similar without it being plagiarism. West Side Story was called “the modern Romeo and Juliet” due to a similar plot, yet it was accepted.

@TLV: Yeah, it was in “Guards! Guards!” I happen to be reading it right now, and it’s a great book.

It was so good! Maybe a little too much for my taste, but that’s the way I want the comic to end! The look on both their faces is so nice. ^_^

I have to say I have always been skeptical, but the new section has finally opened my eyes to the world of cat-pron and made me decide to comment here just to thank you.

The three comics were great, you really overdid yourself in the cooking one. Kudos to you for making a cake the gateway to something “special”, but not in an overdone way.

My only criticism is that you may have to practice a bit more with the threesomes... I found the anatomy was a bit weird at some points; I mean, Paulo certainly showed he know his moves in the kitchen one, but the last few pages were a bit too stretchy (that or Im getting too old)

The new section is awesome! I knew Lucy was a *****, but I never expected that much! Sex because she’s bored? What a ****! Also it was interesting to see the characters bending in, lets say... “certain angles”. Though they do look a bit unrealistic no? Eh, it’s pron so what does it mater? As for Daisy... eh, she’ll always be the little sister no matter what! Soccer mums complain about everything mate. As for the image of the comic, not exactly child-friendly either. It’s the story of the biggest love knot possible with more sexual innuendos and jokes than a Monty Python sketch (or movie for that matter)

bad acting and the lead role

This is the strangest comic ever I read it and had deja-vu the whole way. I could even predict what they were gonna say. And the name casting call seems familiar. Strange.

Somehow I think she’s going to make things worse by using this play to attempt to get Lucy and Mike together…

I have no clue what play this is, but I assume Mike and Lucy will be getting the lead roles so Sue can try to hook them up. No, Sue! Lucy belongs with Paulo

Funny thing is that Mike was doing good, but once he stumbled on his words, he just crashed and burned.

How can you tell how Mike was doing? Just reading the words correctly is but a small part of acting.

And while I too ship LucyxPaulo, I will not tolerate such insults being directed at Sue for trying to help.

Take what I say with a grain of salt, bucko. Most of my comments throughout the pages of Bittersweet Candy Bowl were first-impressions, meaning they were more goofy and ridiculously/unnecessarily emotional. Looking back on a lot of these, I can tell I was pretty out of line at least half the time.

Mike was clearly putting his all into his recital of the lines at first. The movement of arms and his facial expressions showed that pretty well. But once he screwed up the line, he became nervous and thus more prone to error. I was half-kidding with the Sue comment, by the way. She’s not a bitch if she wants to help Lucy and Mike get along. Knowing her, though, and her devious planning, who knows what she’s going to do. I just wish she WOULDN’T because I’m a PauloxLucy fan. Still, by the end of the comic, I hope Lucy and Mike will be friends again. Just not boyfriend and girlfriend, or worse.
