If Sandy’s Mum is Molly, then it explains the improper grammar, I suppose, since Molly’s 10. I kid. But then, maybe that’s why Sandy needs to do well in this interview or whatever: Because her mum wants her to have the proper grammar that she never had. Like those parents who make their kids become tennis stars because that’s what they wanted to do, but somehow didn’t.

Somehow, I feel that Sandy’s going for a driving lesson…perhaps it’s the accentuated use of the rear-vision mirror in the car…or else it’s the fact of seeing her mother in the driving seat of the car for the first time in the story arc with the “You done it before”.

Hmm, first I thought her mom was one of those “live your dreams through your doughter by making them work harder than they want and ruin their lives”-type of moms. But it seems she is at least a little bit understanding.

Her mom has the facial features of the gym teacher and the hair of Molley. Sandy has it rough.

The incentive is heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. Also, her ears! They finally point somewhere other than down!

(To the Top) As for the art, I can understand that the car and building windows look a bit strange, but I was paying more attention to the characters. My only big question was what that blob in the last panel was.

As for Sandy’s mom, she looks okay, but I thought she resembled a hybrid of the HS Gym teacher and the honors English teacher. I can’t see the Molly features anywhere…

Insert uninvited prediction: Since there is no huge sign on the front of the building, I would guess it’s either a prep school or a generic office. Or the sign could be out-of-view…

The background is not bad, really. Also by the last pages you produced the right mood, without using too much text and with the little scenes (e.g.make-up, the glance in the driving mirror).

While the car at the building are…off, the characters look great to me. One thing I enjoy about your older characters is they usually actually look OLDER while a lot of other comics the adults look the same age as the young characters.
The atmosphere actually exists too, nice job.

Is it me or is the front door car handle on the wrong side? It’s supposed to open AWAY from the wing mirror, right? Also, I think the headlights are too far back. I noticed you’d bent the bonnet around them.
