By the way great work on a all picture story, many comics fail to do so, but this works great.

Locker discipline is very important. I’ve been in this kind of relationship. It’s tough. Take heart fictional cat people at least your S.O. isn’t active duty in the army. Not trying to be down though, this is amazing writing.

All the Mike haters need to stop and think for a sec. “Love the one you’re with” may be a nice song and all, but “I walk the line” are words to live by.

I do like Sandy now, she reminds me too much of me, I often get frustrated unable to see my love as much as I want due to the long distance relationship (thank god I get to see him this tuesday), I still like Lucy x Mike but no longer hate Sandy. Oh my. I just read this whole little comic. I really admire it now. I just found out about it from some ad, I really like it. Bookmarked.

I also just found out about this comic from an ad… I spent the whole day reading from beginning to present, and instantly fell in love with the story. Bittersweet indeed… and yet, sadly true in many ways.

I think once the two of them have had physical contact with each other for the first time in about a decade, she’ll feel loads better.

I believe I may know the way Sandy’s feeling. I used to be in a long distance relationship (my partner’s since moved in/been here for a while), and there were some days where it was so hard to do.. well.. anything because of wanting to physically be -there- with my spouse.

i find myself checking this page 50times a day to see if you updated early been doing that since i got caught up LOVE THIS COMIC!!

after rereading this chapter so far it seams that sandy, much like lucy, has a dependency issue regarding mike. think about it, they have been apart for how long? i moved around an lot when I was a kid and things were never that depressing. it also seemed like sandy’s only friend was daisy and after sandy started hanging out with mike she stops hanging out with daisy. now at this new school she only has one friend… highly suspicious.

I too moved around as a lot as kid, as a pre-teen, and as a teen. And unlike you, I found it very stressful. In fact, the constantly being torn from friends always put me into a depression, even more so since it was hard to make new ones, and the so called “friends” I had before rarely ever spoke to me again. The ones that do gradually lose interest or are to busy, and things aren’t the same, which leaves me forgotten. I find that I have to change myself with each new place, in order to fit in with the groups and interest of the area, if I find new friends at all.

Which is why I think there is something to be said for Lucy’s loyalty all those years, even if it was selfish. Though I have to give kudos to Micheal for staying in touch with Sandy, people change when they move, and I think he needs to look a little closer to home…

@Rhyme I see where you’re coming from. But I’m not sure if everyone else (especially those in the LucyxMike vs. SandyxMike war) are going to see that as the sensible remark that it is. I still wonder what’s going to happen. Is it bad I give relationship advice to an imaginary Mike in my head?

I’m sorry you had to go through that. it does suck having to move around a lot. I guess it was easier for me cause I had 5 brother & sisters. that’s not to say that I didn’t care about the friends that I left behind. I did miss them and still ever now and again wonder how they are doing.

Ya, I didn’t mean that comment as siding on LucyxMike in that debate, simply applying real life experience. I think that they are picturing each other as they were in elementary school; however, distance, time, and not being there to see the change gradually might mean that the person they meet isn’t quiet who they imagined to be. That doesn’t mean they wont like this new person as well, just that there is always that chance. Mike is taking a big risk with Sandy, who he hasn’t actually seen since he was little, when he has someone close he has known all a long that loves him, has always been with him, and if he showed interest back would be willing the change for him. And for those that are going to argue that Mike hasn’t changed, if you compare him now to how he was in the beginning (as I have since I sat and spent all yesterday reading the entire comic since I was new to and ended up liking it), you will see he has slowly become more stoic.

I realize that this is indeed a comic, and that I am applying real life things to something fictional, but isn’t this a comic about teen-life? Not the fluff and fairy tail teen-life we see on “reality” television, because plenty of what I read here, I have seen in some form at the many schools I have attended. And, secretly, I am kind of jealous of all of it; because even with the drama and heartbreak and angst that the BCB group has to deal with, they still have a group of friends as close as family that would do anything for each other, which I would have killed for when I was going through school…

Ya, you still had company and support (or not really, depends on the family xD), and while I have two little sisters, there is an eleven year difference between us in age, which wasn’t much help. So, typically, I spent a few summers (which is how the moving always worked out, right after school) alone in foreign places. And am now doing it again as I head off to college that I know no one at. I am not trying to say “Oh, look how worse off I was, so you must be wrong,” I am just trying to show the different sides to moving.
Oh, I agree there is defiantly more going on, but based on what we know of Sandy so far, I wouldn’t hold my breath. At least until Taeshi shows us more.

I was wondering why there was a daisy. I guess there needs to be one for each school.

Daaaaaaaaaaw :3 The past few installments have just been so melancholic with Lucy’s and Paulo’s actions when it comes to their romantic emotions. I’m a pretty big MikeXLucy fan and not to keen on PauloXLucy in the slightest. So the domino effect of Lucy’s rejection really tore at me at first. It left me wondering if Mike’s patience with Sandy was really worth it at this point. So far this chapter has really shown that Sandy must be feeling as worrisome as Mike is, and yet she’s been faithful and supportive of Mike. Gosh, this comment is so sappy, but I think I’ve converted to MikeXSandy. I LOVE TessXPaulo, but Paulo’s a bit too far up **** creek for that to feel possible. I still love Lucy’s character, so whatever happens with her, as long as she’s happy in the end, I’ll enjoy at this point, I think. Anyways, that comment lasted waaaaaay too long, so I’ll cut it as short (pfft, yeah right) as I can. Keep up the good work!

The way I see it, this frustration is the natural outcome of the life she’s been living, all work and little down time, always expected to be perfect at everything, always rising and never taking the time to enjoy the fact that you’ve risen, ever upward never to enjoy what you have, as if the meaning of life was financial success….
