Whew, just finished reading from the beginning and I gotta say, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Paulo is my favorite character, he gives off an Inuyasha character type, which gives him badass points. Now, I must wait until the next update, tis the fate of one who starts late, gets a ton of content and then catches up with the rest of the crowd.

@Maverik: Paulo did always give me a sort of half-feral, at least partially self-raised vibe, so… I’m inclined to believe Paulo’s dad is usually fairly distant when he isn’t just absent due to his work.

Then again, it might just have been an awkward situation where a father and son don’t really know what to say to one another. Sorta depends on whether panel 4 is Paulo reacting to his dad not saying anything or just showing that he’s worried before he leaves the house…

I think it would be hilarious to have Taeshi not reveal if Lucy is pregnent until the last page of the chapter. In the last few panel’s Lucy will be about to tell Paulo if she is pregnent or not. Just as she is about to tell him, the real Lucy (not dream Lucy), wakes him up from his daydream and we never find out if dream Lucy was pregnent or not.

Then just sit back and watch as the forum and the internet explodes.

To me…Lucy seems like the kinda girl who would fake a pregnancy just to reel a guy into being with her. It wouldnt surprise me at all for her to lead Paulo around by a string this entire chapter. Shes a man trap! lol

Yep, this is a different path that the story could have taken but it didn’t.

(Technically, this chapter was an alternate reality plot, again nothing to do with the ‘real’ story, but just happening in some other dimension or something. It was going to just be used as a voting incentive, I gather.
Then for a mixture of reasons, not least that it’s damn interesting, Tae decided to use it in the main story. The events are still non-canon, but now encapsulated in the ‘real’ Paulo’s imagination. End of lecture.)

Actually I’m a bit upset this isn’t what happened. On the other hand, what would Tess’ take be on all of this? >_>

@Silver I agree, a comic that just shows the daily life of one person (or cat-person) does give you a good idea of what they’re going through , but it needs more than just one familiar character in it. Ya know, to set up for a later event, so that nothing is unexplained, and the whole viewing world isn’t confused. Yes Sandy was talking to Mike, so i guess that covers it, but it could have at least introduced some new characters, just to set up some later interaction for the modern life portion of the comic. Lets face it, this comic needs more characters, so that more stories, pasts, and problems can be introduced, setting up for yet another plot twist.

Way to go paulo you get a fail and a facepalm in on day.

alright in all seriousness, this comic has a bunch of characters, each with a bunch of problems. This would be all fine and normal if it wasn’t for the fact that these problems take a very, very long time to sort themselves out. I read many comics with even less characters that are just fine.
