@CriticalQuit I dunno, I think at this point, being ripped to actual shreds is a very real possibility.

Here, we see my core problem with Sue’s campaign: It is based solely on the assumption that she is smarter than everyone else. Additionally, while I’m sure she has an actual policy plan, most of her campaign has, thus far, consisted of ad hominems, the one notable exception being when she was trying to explain that not all offences should be dealt with the same way, and it should depend on the severity. Although I guess here, we see her poisoning the well, which is different from her usual tactics.

Daisy well turn out to be the most effective candidate we see, with the possible exception of Jazzy.

Hi Taeshi. I just started reading this webcomic a few days (technically a week ago but I stop because I got distracted) and have to say that I really enjoy it. Unfortunately, I have to go and ruin a humble comment by asking a question concerning one of your characters. As one writer to another I wouldn’t dare ask you to change them, and I don’t expect to get an answer because when I’m asked questions concerning events that aren’t (or even if they are) on the horizon, I lie or say that “I’m not going to answer that.” but I for the sake of optimism I feel I should at least try. Before I do I want to apologize if you get pestered with questions like this on average, but I was wondering will David ever become more than just comic relief?

Well duh they’re kind of extreme. Actually they’re totally extreme. Don’t mean I don’t feel sorry for you now though…

Uh…. moving on.

In any case I’ve a feeling Daisy will win this, on the basis there are only four pages left in this chapter and also she has both charm, brains and fear which she can use particulary well- and she’ll instigate the policies Abbey wants.

And then Abbey will get expelled. Even though there are protests regarding the fact he is seeing a counciller etc. They’ll say ‘no excuse’. Then it will be trying to reverse the policy and get him back- of trying to reverse policy and bring them back, also bringing back all the bullies expelled since then.

Or who knows maybe Daisy will use her own mind, realise it IS too extreme, and instead suspension on a first offense for certain physical bullying, as well as the second- and THEN expulsion after getting mentally checked over. Detention/ suspension for other types of bullying, and then explusion if it’s clear they’re just not going to get a clue.

Or Sue and/or Daisy wins but finds out the teachers and presdients don’t care either and will never get any change in the school no matter what their own views.

Daisy doesn’t stand a chance against Sue ;D

This is just awesome. I laughed for quite a while at this page. He looks really cute, all crumpled up at the foot of the podium with his stress ball.

Abby’s been obviously broken, I don’t think Lucy can win this, it’s a desperation move. Game over. This will probably get a dialogue going between the three of them, rather than drive a wedge. It’s nice to see Lucy legitimately supporting Abby, rather than his neurotic tendencies.

I cannot wait for more pages, god - it sucks when you read chapter after chapter - just knowing that the story flies by you. From the Introduction, to the new characters, to the conflict of feelings (daisy mainly), to the confession, to this?! … Blasphemy! Thats the only word that comes out of my mind. For this comic is just Amazing! A Cliff hanger every Page - just making you want to wait and see what happens next! I look forward to all future comics!

@TheGirlWhoNeverComments This is actually the Secretarial race, not Presidential, and I think Daisy is just filling in for Abbey, but I’m not sure.

@Everyone talking about policy Student government doesn’t work that way, exactly. Assuming, at least, that this is your standard public school, OR that the plot does not demand student government work that way. If either of those is true, then it is ultimately up to school administrators what policy is, and the student government can only advocate and lobby for policy changes.

Of course, if neither of those is true, then we can only wait and see what the ultimate outcome is. If the policy Abbey advocates goes into place, then it’s possible that we’ll see a lot of people suddenly leave Tess alone, and also see a lot of Abbey’s beloved “innocents” caught in the cross-fire: Mark my words, such a policy will only end in a flaming train wreck of potentially (and temporarily) ruined lives as it is horribly misused for petty reasons (which all zero-tolerance policies eventually are).

Or maybe everything will be sunshine and rainbows. What do I know?

Finally up to date with this comic, I love it by the way.
I really hope Lucy and Mike end up getting together, although they’re opposites of one another in some points, they’re also very similar too.
I believe it’ll make things a lot more happier and cheerful and still keep enough room for drama to weave it’s magic through it all.

@Sone I’m not actually sure that they do. Sue is largely a background character like McCain or Amaya, someone who appears when the script calls for it and generally not otherwise. In this chapter specifically, I think Sue is there to serve as a foil/antagonist for Daisy specifically, as Daisy is a main character.

Although I guess it could be the other way around, with Daisy serving as the antagonist for Sue.

*sigh*, so after finally marathoning through the whole BCB archive… I finally hit the “latest update” wall However, I’m glad I found this wonderful comic. Without exaggerating, one of the best that I’ve ever checked out both in terms of story and visuals.

Something I love about marathoning through comic archives is witnessing how the skill and the style of the artist changes and improves over time… it’s just amazing

Abbey is a nickname, his real name is Abraham. And his character is, as you said, meant to be the sensible, non-ridiculous guy. But with tons of unresolved emotional issues regarding bullying.

Daisy’s Charisma: OVER 9,000

Having Daisy’s perals be the same color as the rest of her is driving me nuts for some reason. It almost makes it feel like she was taken from a sepia-tone portion and slapped right into this part of the comic or something. I don’t know it just drives me nuts for whatever reason. Perhaps make them a little more pinkish? Yeah, that would actually do nicely. Not TOTALLY pink, but just a slight pink tint to them so they look more like pink pearls and less like pink beads or beads the same color as her fur. I mean, pearls are normally WHITE, not freaking CREAM-COLORED! And that whole bit with Abbey realizing he was freaking out and all that was just plain funny.
