Maybe you should add a new character. Just spitballin’ an idea, but this guy should be named Zeroh. He’s a orphan that has lived on his own ever since his parents died in a terrible accident. He has purple eyes but with a scar on his left eye. He wears a cape that defines his darkness but he isn’t dark or mean. Hes a nice person but his past still haunts him. Who likes my Idea? :3

Zeroh is like Shadow in Sonic the hedgehog but its totally different in this story. He helps out people whenever there is trouble and has a mystic power that enables him to protect his friends and loved ones as much as he can. But…. There is a rival involved with his past… and he still lives… I won’t tell ya about Zeroh’s rival untill he is added to the series of Bittersweet >:3

Don’t get your hopes up. One, Taeshi already has enough characters to keep track of. Two, you “character” would be completely out of place. BCB is a comic about the drama of high school and teenage romances (more or less). Your character sounds like you took Batman, turned him into a cat, and gave him “mystic powers.” If you like the idea so much, start your own comic.

@Adario-Mendcaz: I for one like Sandy, even though I’m a LucyxMike fan. the thing is we have to remember that Mike & Sandy have a long distance relationship that could work out or end for various reasons, such as:

Mike and Sandy get together (by that I mean live close enough so they see each other regularly) they could find that they really don’t have much in common and that they were both projecting what they each wanted the other person to be like. If you remember all that we know about Sandy, then we can only assume that Mike is her childhood self left behind (in this scenario) and that for Mike, Sandy is the “dream girl” or his idea of the perfect girl. He’s never seen sandy have a bad day or get angry. what if he sees a side of her he didn’t like or expect because he thinks she has no flaws.

@MrFiendish It’s not a cliche, it’s basic character motivation. I know teenagers can be unnecessarily spiteful at times, but I have a hard time believing that anyone would be as mean as Jess and Rachel have been if there wasn’t reason. In their very first appearance there was a reason given for Rachel’s hatred.

Compare to Katie (the yellow dog), who is one of the flatest characters. There’s no reason given for her actions except that she’s just shallow. Jess and Rachel, on the other hand, have reasons and motivations for being the way they are. And they aren’t like this to everyone; despite Jess’s slight telling off to Daisy, they’ve treated her more of less with kindness and as far as I can see view her as a friend.

i like how, even though it’s a group setting with lots of characters, the panels aren’t overcrowded and there’s still a tight focus. also, last panel jess should be placed higher - right now she looks like the floor is slanted and she’s lower than the others even though she’s hunched over.

After reading this comic I miss my school (dropped out and got GED, wanted college but no transportation and computer ruined my social life from Age 12) now for some reason I am crying because I wish life was more like this, where you have someone to turn to when your in pain, and not be judged.

I guess I most associate myself with Lucy, being isolated from everyone at a young age and fighting/hating growing up, I even treat others the way she does (the bitchy way) because It’s a guard and I have no other way of expressing emotion because anyone I open up to hurts me.

I’m still trying to figure out where all of this is coming from.
Lucy and David are the only two main characters still alive (unless Mike survives bing hit by the car).
Is this an alternate dimension that would have occured if one thing was different?
This recent strip demolished my original theory and now I’m curius as to how it ends.
But the car is pretty strange. Perhaps they’re in the school parking lot?

But seriously, the first thing that came to my mind when I saw the incentive was, ‘Final Destination???’

Not sure I’ll be noticed in this sea of comments, but I figure it’s worth it to share my opinion.

I saw your ad up on FA and against my better judgement (I really read a lot of webcomics and probably don’t need more) decided to give your comic a go.

I was impressed enough with the art on the newer pages to go back and read through archives, knowing that like many webcomics, yours came from humble beginnings. I gotta say that I’m glad to have come across your comic.

Not to take myself too seriously here, but making it to my reading list is quite the feat, take pride in your work, you’re doing some good stuff.
