Is it easier to draw Mike’s body or keep him under the blanket? I’ve always had trouble with cloth and fabrics in drawings and was just curious.

So heartwarming yet so sad, considering what they are currently going through in the present. A look back at happier times, question is did one of them screw this up or was it a 3rd party?

Well, technically Mike is cheating right now since this is AFTER Sandy left. It really doesn’t matter though, since he didn’t realize they were still dating. And people, remember, Mike and Lucy DO kiss each other later (right after Confrontation). And at that time, Mike STILL had feelings for Lucy. So whether or not they kiss at this moment is totally irrelevant. It would still be nice if that happened now though.
They look so awkwardly cute in that last panel. I love it.

@Nolithium: I think at this point in the flashback, it has been a long time since he and Sandy where anywhere near each other, and I don’t think they considered themselves to be more then good friends at the time, I really don’t think that could be considered cheating. And at the point in confrontation, he had feelings for Lucy, but the events with Sandy got him thinking about it, and how he thought Lucy didn’t want him, and his feelings changed towards Sandy.

I can see how really deep, mixed, and clingy Mike is being in this. Sandy isn’t around, been awhile since he’s seen her. Heck, this is probably when he thought Sandy was out for good. But with Lucy hanging around so much, and how buddy/buddy they get, it’s easy for him to think farther than where it needs to be.
His attempt for a first kiss, and his excuse to do it, is bad, I’m glad he goofed it up. Don’t let him kiss you Lucy! It’s not time yet!
