Am I the only person who thinks that Augustus is showing evidence of being a sociopath? He’s charismatic to the point of manipulation, he (seemingly) has no morals, and as far as I can remember he has shown little to no empathy towards another person. He seems like the exact type of character who can pull off a Xanatos Gambit. As for the comments of him being a rapist, I think it’s more that he’s trying to hurt someone else through Lucy, although wanting sex with her could be a secondary goal.

It was more Roger, Tess’s boyfriend, than Tess, and how she reacted to it. Some people hold a grudge better than others. How they hold one of these against Tess when she showed signs of changing is beyond me. Also, I am now a little worried for Lucy. Auggie has his eye on her and it cannot be good.

Augustus is awesome. He is not the bad guy. He did nothing wrong.

He liked Daisy. He helped Daisy realize that Mike would never like her the way she liked Mike. He took advantage of that and wanted to help her become what she was afraid to be.

Despite his motives, he still helped Daisy get over Mike which was a good thing. And he didnt try to rape Daisy, he just tried to kiss her.

Kissing =/= Raping.

If you were a guy trying to get a girl that liked somebody else to like you, you would do everything in your power to make the girl discover on her own that the guy she likes is the wrong pick.

And just because he was talking to the gang guys from Confrontation doesnt make him bad.

I hate other peoples’ birthdays. I’m never invited. In 2nd Grade, one of the girls in my class invited everyone in the classroom except for me. In response, I threw my backpack at her. Ever since then, I have hated other peoples’ birthdays.
