Haha. What a teaser this is for PxL fans. I can’t see how he’ll work things out with Jasmine at this point, but I’m assuming the unlikely scenario is that Paulo breaks it off with her to be with Lucy. As much as many people want that to happen, that would be a “too good to be true” situation.

So much for the shopping cart trip… then again, the point of the chapter is to CARRY someone… and now that they’re in some woods there has to be a stream for Paulo to cross with Lucy on his back.

Does anyone else see a slight Scott Pilgram vs the World similarity, with paulo being Scott, Jasmine is the younger, asian girl, Knives, and Lucy is the emotionally distant and romantically complicated, Ramona flowers? I just thought of this coincidence and i realize that it is a little vague but still there.

If Paulo actually breaks up with Jasmine, he and Lucy should go out because I want to see what Mike would do.

Even though Jasmine has been inatentive and such, that is never a good enough reason to break up as it can easily be fixed by either of the two. I really hope Lucy gets an ACTUAL friend from Paulo (not the pseudo “freakship” with Augustus) to replace Mike. Some people need friends more than others and having a relationship is one of the fastest ways of loosing friends.
