I don’t know if it’s just me, but Jasmine seems to be TRYING, although it isn’t exactly the best way and isn’t exactly working (so far as these pages show so far anyway.) In Pillow Talk, well… I don’t think she could exactly invite Paulo to an all-girls’ party anyway, but here, she tried to ask him to *go with her* on both events instead of leaving him out entirely. Which Paulo rejected both times. Yes, it’s different from having time just to themselves, but I think she’s at least TRYING to let him be part of her life, to let him join in on what she’s doing.

or maybe even before Pillow Talk she would always say “would you like to join me” whenever he wants to spend time with her after school, I can’t really say since I don’t think they were really shown besides that chapter (and did the election thing count as after school?
