I was expecting a shouting match and/or brooding shove away between Mike and Lucy, though. But this makes for a better and a more ambiguous ending as far as what happened at play practice goes. Good job, Taeshi!

Paulo and Jaz are adorable together. I think she’s the first girl Paulo hasn’t lusted after. Well , scratch that.He didnt initially lust after Lucy but later he did. I don’t think he’s ever lusted for Jaz. Its so cute. It’s his first relationship without any lust. They just have fun and laughs together.I’m a dude but Im a sucker for romance :\

Mike and Lucy are experiencing technical difficulties and will be back Monday. Mike’s face could be a number of things but its too soon to be assuming things. There isnt enough info to make educated guesses.

To clarify an earlier statement, I still think PauloxTess is the better Paulo pairing, but I can’t stand to see him break it off with Jazz after all that. GAHH so conflicted!

I must say, I have thoroughly enjoyed this chapter. Not only are Paulo AND Jasmine happy, but it leaves us with a happy Lucy as well. (Though Mike, not so much.)

The night shot is a great romantic touch to the end of this chapter, for the last blissful chapter in a while, I’m leaving satisfied.

It’s nice to see both Paulo and Jasmine happy, it sends the romantic part of me reeling. As a couple, they are very appealing and seemingly, perfect for each other. (Though I’m not picking sides.)

And Jasmine has a fantastic sense of style. That helps.

So apparently, the next chapter starting on Monday will be absolutely chock full of drama. I’m predicting that Mike and Lucy’s little cliffhanger on the last page will be confronted, maybe even a little something extra? What does everyone think of this? Any predictions?

I really have to say something if Its alright. I truly enjoy this comic. I was homeschooled so I never had any kind of a social life such as high school years. I’ve always felt like I’ve missed out and in a kinda weird way this comic has helped me to cope with that small problem by giving me a glimpse at how much teenage years can be wacky, strange, funny, yet overall an enjoyable and memorable experience. Wow…I thought I missed a page or something. The transition seems so clunky, going from sick Lucy and rage mode Mike, to happy Paulo and Jasmine.

FFFFFF- I want to know what happened between Mike and Lucy! *sob of inner anguish* Hopefully answers will be provided in the next chapter. Kind of cute ending to the chapter though; even if I’m not much of a JazzxPaulo fan. At least this chapter provided with information on Paulo’s inner feelings at the moment. So, at least, it’s not a total loss, right? (I don’t think this chapter was filler at all.)

Seems like things are going to start crumbling between them; a relationship can only be as strong as the weakest emotion involved (personal experience). If one of the individuals starts to feel regret, or doesn’t feel like they’re fully in it, then the relationship will either be held up with cracks and crumbling guises, or else it falls apart eventually. You can only repair something so much before it becomes a twisted version of its former self.

Wow I’m kinda displeased with this ending. Lol I kinda wanted Lucy and jasmine to duke it out lol or am I just being desperate? Lol

ever since the girl talk at lucy’s birthday jazz did her best to be with paulo, but even though they got a happy ending…don’t forget that paulo in the ninth panel he dosen’t look fully relieved just a little to the point where he finally see’s that jazz acttualy made time for him.

This was a very nice chapter! It includes HEAPS of character development with every character who appeared (even David!), the usual helping of high school drama, some lighthearted moments, and was quite enjoyable because of it.

For one split-second, i actually liked Paulo right there at the end.

A very touching way to end the chapter, and I think it was nice for Paulo too. The guy has had a lot of mixed (I don’t know any other word to describe it) relationships (Tess and Lucy) and flings (Jessica and Rachel), so it’s nice to see him get to spend a girl he likes. Even if he’s a little conflicted.

I like PauloxJasmine. It’s nice since it seems like a geniunely honest relationship. Hopefully it’ll last longer than some of the other couples in this story, and I’m letting the inner fanboy in me speak here, I REALLY hope the couple stays together . It’s hard to hate Jasmine when she’s so sweet, and Paulo is generally an all around awesome guy.

But I really do love this comic, and its nice to see things done so well. You really love your characters, don’t you? You know how to make things dramatic and meaningful, and that’s entertaining. You’ve got balance, character development, and humor. You are an awesome person, Taeshi. You and your comics are a great inspiration to me.

This is such a darling page, they both look so cute. Even though Mike and Lucy are the main, main characters, I do adore Paulo so much.

Too bad we didn’t get to see how that potential fiasco with Mike and Lucy ended. T_T I was really looking forward to that. But this was a good end to this chapter with all of Paulo and Jasmine’s problems of distance being sorted out. Paulo seems to have re-shifted his focus and devotion to Jasmine, Mike is irritated and Lucy is just speeding downhill with 50 mph downhill wind rain in a car going 300 mph with spikes at the bottom of the hill. I really hope that the next chapter will address the ever growing awkwardness between mike and lucy . If not, then I might cry.

Well, what a wonderful chapter. Got to say, it was one of my favorites, right up there with Confrontation, Misunderstanding and Change, Love My Way, Another Shoulder, Another Path, Mischief Night, and Pillow Talk. Lot of tension, lot of intrigue, etc…

This was especially a sweet ending. No, LucyxPaulo did NOT happen, which I feel is really sad when you consider all Paulo did for her stupid sickly butt, but PauloxJasmine is also okay. Seeing the two reconcile their friendship…it was nice. I hope it won’t last, but still, it’s nice.

From here, I wonder where we’re going to go. Paulo and Jasmine should be fine for a while, since she apparently cleared up several of her activities. Lucy and Mike are obviously still unresolved, and she will probably be out of the comic for a while while she is recovering, right? I’m not sure if this chapter took place on a Friday or something, but I know it would be convenient for sick Lucy if it did. But at the same time, I kind of want to see what Daisy and Abbey are up to. If Abbey’s taken it upon himself to become a fascist like Sue predicted (and the new censorship rules are also kind of fascist, AHEM), I want to see it. And I wouldn’t mind seeing more of Jessica or Amaya either.

I must admit, wasn’t what i was expecting. Paulo mixed feelings can (will) end up badly. In his place i wold try to make my mind to like Jazz, why? Because she did try to change for him, and change what you are for someone else is hard as hell.
As for Mike, well, i do adore him, few have the guts to tell the truth to a annoying loved one, as he did with Lucy, although “loved” one here is kinda weird.
Yes, i’m a shipper for MikexLucy, but i fear that pairing doesn’t have a future.

Seriously? I’m starting to think Jasmine isn’t as innocent and naive as everyone thinks she is. She seemed really suspicious when she saw them together and then they just ran off and left lucy despite how sick she was. I think its nice shes dropping stuff to spend more time with Paulo but like its all too weird she couldn’t be bothered before and didn’t seem the least bit upset or guilty about it. She never tried to sneak off and just see him or skip her activities it was more or less meh whatever he’ll be fine <3. I wish Paulo would just man up and go for who he really wants and not just settle for whatever just because its sitting there in front of him. Even if it totally crashes and burns it’d be better then just sitting there being a huge wimp.

I can’t remember a time when Jazzy cursed… Is this to preserve her innocence or to keep her Freshmen mentality that there are still hopes and dreams?

@scarecrow hey bud, if you’re reading this, I know how it goes. being born with ADHD, Auspergers and a plethra of other stuff (my psyche politely informed me that I’m the most broken yet functional person he’s ever seen)

I was actually IN school, and lemme tell you that you didn’t miss too much. you can be home schooled and still meet other folks, I knew several in my city. Ironically, they were much more level headed than most—even if they were just a tad socially awkward. hell, that even doesnt matter. if you dont do something often of course you wont be the best at it.

anyway, I’m just poppin in to chin up man, theres always a silver lining to things. you have benifits that others dont: putting up with retarded old wrinklebags, for starters….plus you learn from the comfort of your home, rather than have to be in a place you get in trouble for not going to. (I had lunch, an honors english class, and study hall in that order at the halfway mark. I was never in school past 4th period…)

also, maybe I’m just being a dumb writer myself (what? I’m decent with a pencil…) but I like the symbology of jazz letting her hair down. ties in nicely with her freeing up her schedule to have more fun. hopefully mike’s squeeze will realize this. they’re KIDS. they need to go do KID things.

Jasmine makes it so hard to break up with her. But even though through most of the chapter I was so into Pauloxlucy I realized in the past 2 pages that Lucy’s drama queen, obsessed, psychotic self doesn’t deserve the awesomeness that is Paulo.

What? We don’t get to see what Mike does after Lucy hugs him and starts crying on him? I’ve been waiting since I woke up this morning to get back to my computer so I could see what Mike does. I feel so cheated.

Also, why do I seem to be the only one who can see that Paulo had precisely one specific reason he was going to dump Jazz (which he specifically mentioned earlier in the chapter): because she had no time for him. Why are all the people who like Jazz so afraid that he’s going to dump her now that that isn’t a problem, and why are all the people who don’t like Jazz so certain that he doesn’t actually like her at all and is just too much of a wimp to break up? I mean, I too would like to see Paulo with Lucy, but I’m not going to sink to blatantly lying to myself to justify it.

So Abbey’s happy with Daisey, Mike’s happy with Sandy, McCain’s with Sue, and Paulo’s happy with Jasmine.

Hm. Guess that just leaves LucyxTess. AND I APPROVE WHOLEHEARTEDLY BECAUSE AUGUSTUS IS A FAEG.

David, naturally, remains forever alone.

That was a really fantastic ending to the chapter. I wonder how the next chapter that’s starring Mike is gonna turn out, because if it was anything like his small appearance here, it’s gonna be drama-packed, and that’s the kind of thing I like to indulge myself in on Friday nights like these. ^-^

I’m glad that LucyxMike still hangs in the balance, the story is really rich with it. I hope Taeshi still deviates from it in some way after awhile, however. I wanna see some scary, shocking twists.

Paulo…your basic guy doing basic guy stuffs, like trying not to mess things up. Jasmine…your basic girl trying to live how and with who she wants. Abbey…the new Disgaea Overlord.

The worst part is that I caught that I’d made a typo (“Paulu” instead of “Paulo”) and instantly corrected it in an edit, but the more damning mistake went unnoticed. That’s what happens when one works nights.

That was so corny but sweet. I like pairing Though because of this i don’t think with how things are going LucyxPaulo is gonna happen (or “Team Paul”) I now expect team Paulo pins to be on sale =D

I looove the way you write dialogue, it’s like a script from life. Corny things are always the best I enjoy Jasmine, I think she’s adorable and is sweet to Paulo. buuut… I dunno. I really like the way Lucy and Paulo interact They’re really genuine and cute. I think I’m rooting for Paulo and Lucy :3

Yeah, I kind of want to know why Mike seems to hate Lucy with a passion, because she didn’t want him to hate her. He has no real reason to hate, she’s not really that obsessive over him, she’s not near as clingy since he got distant, she’s not hitting him every day…maybe he’s just PMSing…?

Okay, so I just read the ENTIRE ARCHIVE and have some thoughts.

Firstly: Hell of a comic. I can’t believe I haven’t seen/heard of this one before, and I’ve read a lot of webcomics. The plot is pretty well thought out and the art has done nothing but get better. 5 stars, Taeshi.

Secondly: I DESPISE YOU FOR KEEPING MIKE AND LUCY APART. And for not having an infinite archive, but that’s less important. She and Paulo are a good fit, but having read all of them, I think Paulo is really just a comic relief pervert at this point to me. He’s a deep character, but there wasn’t really enough done to make him into an emotional character versus a comedic one.

Lastly: David is probably the funniest character I’ve ever seen. The expression and the way he talks… Boss. I laughed for ages when he was under the bed at the girls sleepover. My roommate thinks I’m crazy.

What happens when you get 600 book goal? When will sandy come again?

I didn’t really think I’d be in love with these two as I am. Some how Paulo just needs Jazzy to mellow him back out from his pervy-side, all the other girls just seemed to make it worse.
