in the last panel with Augustus his hand looks wayyyyy off. Really when you get down to it, the only thing that’s changed about the style is the way Taeshi is drawing the faces. The bodies are still the same boring blobby figures.
Nothing really different about the general coloring and background, so eh. I don’t see what’s so great about this “huge style change.”

He may be looking out for Lucy though, and Lucy just wants a friend. Over all though, I’m glad Augusts didn’t smack her… I like him as a character! and without the need for Lucy as a girlfriend.

Great work so far, new style isn’t all that different in my not-so-artistic mind. Looks good so far. And I would not blame you if you falter in your work a little after the 20th, not sure for you, but GEARS, baby!

Well awesome, What I said in the last page somewhat came true, though Augustus didn’t directly say it, but he did end up keeping her off his course.

I like the new style with each new page you write, but I really suggest switching back to the old eyes, or a modified version of them. Especially for pannels like the last three. While they do make the characters look older, (which I’m assuming is one of the things you were going for), the older style brings out their emotions more.

One more page left guys. We either see Lucy fume her way home, or we get to see Augustus punch Paulo’s Mini Dad in the face. ;D

Hmm, here is something interesting, in panel 4, when the guy bumps into Lucy, Augustus has a somewhat disgusted look on his face, perhaps he has a problem with violence, he doesn’t like having violence being done to him and possible doesn’t like it being done to others.
That would also kind of explain his face when he walks up the bus stairs.

INCONSISTENCY! Augustus does not look like a loud talker, and the bus has to be pretty noisy. YET HE IS TALKING INTO LUCY’S DEAF EAR! And based on her expression in panel three, it seems she understood him perfectly.

I mean, sure, I would be angry too if I was pushed, but I wouldn’t be that, annoyed about it. I know I’m missing something… (Been sick over the weekend and still is, not really thinking straight sometimes)

Augustus’ expression in panel 6… why is he frowning? Also in panel 4, he looks angry that someone punched Lucy in the arm. Question is, why would he care?

What the hell is the significance of people being shoved around? In Panel 4, when Lucy is shoved by some *******, Augustus sees and he looks even more ****** off than before. I got the impression he followed the guy on the bus and was prepared to say something to him about it.

Because most people only know Augustus to be the way he always has been. As with Mike, he was one sweet and lovable, now he isn’t. Kinda like Mike had a grey area people ignore and August has yet to create one for himself.

Now that she can’t bother anyone esle maybe she can rethink and asset her life unless she finds a new character to bother… if she does then i’ll lose the slither of hope for her to becoming a better person, WAY less bitchy, WAY less desperate and etc. And I have to say I really like the new style I have to admit it makes Lucy look cute as much I don’t like her right now, but it’s odd. Sometimes the new style makes her look cute but sometimes it makes her look odd or heavy-set like in panel one, but hey it’s still new. I think it looks good on Augustus for his evil closr-up faces because his outline and eyesss turn into a dark red maroon color which just looks awesome, but it’s still too early to really say to hate it or like it since we haven’t really seen anyone esle in the style plus it’s only been 5 pages.

I suddenly have no sympathy for Lucy any more. Seems to me she’s rather selfish, and ever since Mike got fed up with her crap she’s been in an increasingly entertaining spiral of madness/despair. She’s just now reached the point where she’ll cling to anyone who even acknowledges her existence.

In other words, a hyper-dramatization of the typical girl thing, in which they keep a guy around as a “spare friend” to use when their regular buddies aren’t available, much like changing out a spare tire, who she generally treats horribly, and then becomes indignant when he suddenly isn’t there anymore.

The difference here is that Lucy is getting what she deserves, an emotional slap across the face. In the real world she’d just assassinate the guy’s character and tell her friends what a jerk he is.

I would disagree (except the ‘yet’ part.) Lucy sometimes treats people in the wrong way. She’ll sometimes push them around or tease them too far, causing a great dislike of her. I’m not saying she does this all the time, but the it’s the majority of it Honestly, she’s not my favorite character anymore. The way she acts is so annoying and it seems like she trys to act all high and mighty. She acts like she can do whatever she wants and can get away with it. No one likes that type of person :|

I find it hilarious that Augustus refuses to take ANY of Lucy’s melodramatic Type-A Tsundere ********. He’s just about right between Mike’s worn-down intolerance and Paulo’s tendency to buckle in a stiff breeze (even though he managed to grow backbone as far as Jazz is concerned.). He’ll talk to her, yes, but he’s been clearly telling her that he’s not interested, and Lucy [obvious]doesn’t take rejection well[/obvious].

I just now noticed how pretty the sky is. There’s this arc of a light purple in one of the middle panels that’s artsy and wonderful. I was going to say the texture looks kind of watercoloury? But I think I just need to clean my screen.
