No sense in worrying about the hiding spaces for sleeping eldritch horrors.

Eh, we will never know this either way. The world of metaphysics is a strange one, and no matter how much we theorise it is unconceivable that we reach a certain conclusion. ^_^

Hee. I just have fun imagining this. I do not worry about it in any way. ^_^

There’s really nothing to worry about. So, the earth is spinning. So what. Just be glad that you’re on it because it’s way scarier everywhere else.

Have you ever thought that what you see, hear, touch, taste and smell doesn’t exist and is nothing but a figment of your imagination?

TheLightorTheDark November 9, 2010, 11:27 PM EST.

Sentience itself is terrifying.

@ Light: Read Descartes then come back. Cogito ergo sum.

I have been preaching th falshood of reality as an illution that is all we have since I got here

Comment ID #122261

@ LoD - Of course, but it is a very persistent figment so you may as well take it seriously. What’s scary is the idea that we are all a figment of Tommy Westphall’s imagination, which is quite likely.

I lost my sketchbook.

I’d be sitting in the corner using my blood as ink (which actually makes some pretty interesting, yet creepy pieces) but I can’t because I don’t have a sketchbook.

How did you lose it this time?

Leaving a Comment November 9, 2010, 11:48 PM EST.

Easy solution to that: don’t get caught. And I might’ve forgotten or I might’ve not heard at all, my memory is kind of funky.

So I was in the car returning from Piano Lessons, and I was listening to good ol’ David Bowie on my mp3 player, and on came “Fill Your Heart.” And the lyrics finally resonated for me!

@Drake: Don’t give up. Or go gay. Bad juju.
As far as Earth goes, I think I like it better there. It’s too damn cold and vaccuum-ey up here.
A bigger unit makes it impossible to measure small items, so regardless of the base unit, a series of sub-units must exist.
Time is indeed relative, for example: for every year you age, I (while up here) age merely a 3/4 year. This was actually considered and predicted by Einstein, along with the possibility of multiple dimensions. This may be discussed further in the “Wicked Facts” thread.
When considering whether my perceptions are merely illusions or not, I find that not only are some of them pretty damn cool, but they also hurt when you are hit with them, so I make it a general point to pay attention to these figments of my imagination, as they have not steered me wrong yet.

Don’t play the game of time

Only happened in your Mind
Only in your Mind, ah forget your Mind
And you’ll be free-yeah

Dr. Klaus November 10, 2010, 1:46 AM EST.

Comment ID #122343

No. Real, actual freedom is overrated. People think more highly of it than it deserves. Yes it is great, but not as great as people tend to make it out to be.

The proof is in the credentials.

Which were distributed by the “authority,” so it’s moot, really.

Dr. Klaus November 10, 2010, 2:00 AM EST.

Comment ID #122358

The proof is only in experience, or a trust that another’s experience is true.

And one must experience trust in order to understand and reciprocate.

You got me all unhappy now, taking my elated feeling of realization and crushing it beneath the cleated soles of your iron boots of logic. :(
