You know, generally I dislike the actions of most people in the military. So, Nero, good job on being a conscientious objector and joining the airforce. : D

Whee. The army doesn’t like us, but by God they know how screwed thay’d be if we weren’t there. I think they’re pissed because while they crawl through dirt, we’re at the damn Ritz partying.
Besides, I never bought into the whole “Work your ass off to be used as a bullet screen” way of thinking. I wanted something a little more intellectual.

Which is why the airforce are the geeks. The army are the jocks and they like to crawl around in the mud together and explore their feelings for eachother through games of grab-ass.

A friend of my brother’s came home from Afghanistan last week and we hung out yesterday. Nobody here would like what he had to say on anything, except maybe the British Royal Commandos giggling like little girls when they stumbled upon and subsequently popped (I shit you not) a Taliban guard unit.

Oh, that guy I’m talking about…I think he’s Army, but he could be USMC. Once in the middle of a firefight this guy on his squad started screaming and screaming and, of course, everyone thought he’d been shot. Turns out his pack of cigarettes got wet. So, naturally, someone on another squad breaks cover, hands him a cigarette, lights it and goes back to mowing down Taliban fuckheads.
