Bittersweet Candy Bowl

Her name is Fye, and since sometime last year, she has been steadily posting covers of songs to YouTube under the pseudonym of mksmooney.

At only 15 years old, she has done a cover of the famous, and OFTEN covered song “You Raise Me Up”, singing the Japanese version known as Inori.

This 15 year old Russian girl has one of the best voices I have EVER heard. I am honestly simply blown away by her performance.

Why this thread? What discussion is there to be had? In truth, probably not a whole lot. But I felt the need to share this magnificent gift with as many people as I can.

I hope her all the best the world has to offer, and that whatever she does with that gift of hers, it pans out the way she wants it to

She does sing very well. I have heard young talents before, but she sounds much more grown-up than any of them. ^_^

Wow. She does sing very well. How she became popular reminds me of how Charice Pempen gco became an international star. A few years back, Charice posted videos of herself singing on youtube, and the internet could not believe it. Some people claimed that she was lip-synching the songs, but after more people gained notice and started posting videos of her singing live, these proved to be false. Charice is now huge, coming a long way since she was 14. She now has a solo album, has performed live on Oprah and on Ellen, performed in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade and at the Summer Olypics, and is now a reoccurring character on “glee”. Maybe this girl can have a very similar career one day.

I really hope so Kaxbe. But I do keep worrying that she will be looked over because she sings Japanese songs specifically :\

Still. Charice is a fantastic singer, and I hope that Fye can get the same kind of attention eventually

Well, if she does not make it internationally, there is a chance that she will be recognized in Japan and become a huge phenomenon there. And there are quite a few Asian artists who expanded their audience to American shores, such as BoA.

Definitely not the “BEST” voice I’ve ever heard. Far from.
I mean, she’s pretty good but her voice is edited in all her videos. The one I saw that someone got of her live wasn’t impressive. Maybe it was just the quality of the video though. IDK, people just keep posting ‘OMG I GET THEH CHILLS’ when while listening to it it’s more typical-nothing new or special. IMO she cant reach high pitches well or when she gets too loud the quality of her voice decreases.
Plus if she really wants to make it she needs to stop singing JUST Japanese covers :/. Maybe she doesn’t have the vocal ability for any other types of songs .


Still sings 10000x better than I could ever hope to haha.
