But the topic has fallen off the first page before and Bridgey just bumped it with no problems when she had an update. It’s not remarkable.
Comment ID #119219
I’m not saying the bump was necessary, but I saw that post as one. Though by this discussion over the post it acted as a bump

Who is Jenny?

Sandy’s friend from school. She was jealous of Mike for taking Sandy away from her. She was also angry at Sandy for abandoning her. Sandy was everything to her just like Mike was everything to Sandy. Jenny was on good terms with Sandy’s family, at least until Sandy left to stay with Mike.
Sandy’s family kept commenting on how nice Sandy and Mike were together. Their comments drove her mad.
“Oh look, they went to the zoo! How adorable!”
“Isn’t it romantic how he surprised her with a cruise voyage?”
“They remind me of us when we were younger, don’t they honey?”
Jenny couldn’t take it anymore, but she tolerated it, for Sandy’s sake. Sandy was happy and even though it wasn’t with her, it would have to be enough.
But then Sandy came back, tears in her eyes from the breakup with Mike. While Jenny saw this as an opening, Sandy’s parents saw this as a mere bump in the relationship. They comforted the girl, telling her that Mike will be back.
And Sandy believed them.
Sandy waited, thinking only of Mike. Her parents encouraged this delusional behavior, much to Jenny’s dismay. Now it wasn’t just Mike who was an obstacle in her quest for love. The parents were there too.
And so she removed the obstacle.
She killed them.

That’s not blood, it’s cranberry sauce. Which could be even more terrifying.
Comment ID #121879
It could be a tree stump and some fruit splatter. Maybe she’s crying cause they cut down the tree under which Sandy and Mike used to hang out. … Please? Don’t make this unto another crazy killing, blood and guts story O.o… please!

^^^^^^^^ignorance is bliss
Comment ID #121954
it’s also one of the seven deadly sins, according to what religion that is.
therefore:
bliss is a sin. ![]()
Comment ID #122076
JohnnyBUZZ is an idiot.
The Seven Deadly Sins are:
Anger
Lust
Sloth
Envy
Greed
Gluttony
and Pride
Ignorance was never one of the seven sins. However, the closest thing to it in the history of the Catholic Church was “acedia”, which was described as a type of neglect. It was added to the seven sins after the sin of “luxuria”, or extravagance, was added to Lust and “Vainglory” was considered a form of “Pride”. In order to fill the two newly empty spots, “Acedia” and “Envy” were added. “Acedia” became “Sloth”.
Anyways, I cannot wait for the next page.

They were carrying a tin of raspberry jam, slipped in a puddle of angst and landed on the jar, concussing themselves and spreading sweet sugary justice all over the floor.

and she splashed water on her face to get rid of some of the jam and then she was like,
I AM NOT cleaning this up. Then she left.

@ILB: The plot has thickened like the blood on the floor slowly clotting. Or maybe something less morbid. Like as the cranberry sause slowly dries out.

@Kaxbe
Okay, sorry, but Acedia IS on the sins, and it’s basically ignorance.
But really I just wanted an excuse to call bliss a sin.
Back on topic:
I love the comic and can’t wait to see what happens.
Comment ID #122782
@johnnyBUZZ: Neglect =/= Ignorance. I said acedia was the closest thing to ignorance, not that it WAS ignorance. Your reasoning is very lazy and flawed.
Comment ID #122855
@Kaxbe.
I apologized already. Should I do it a second time to make the message stick? I’m sorry.
I am sorry that I’m not a perfect scholar on the seven deadly sins. I don’t even believe in them. I don’t spend my time looking up all the ways people insult each other for being imperfect; I had once heard that ignorance was one of the seven deadly sins, and that sort of stuck in my brain. But now that I stand corrected, I’m sure I’ll never, ever confuse my sins again. Thanks for setting me straight.

According to most christians, any good feeling is in fact very sinful.
Comment ID #122877
Not at all, Scotch. ^_^

I’m listening.
Comment ID #122941
Eh, claiming that most Christians consider good feelings to be sinful is a bit like claiming that all dogs bite and maul people (excuse the parallel). Some of them do, but they are very few compared to the majority. Also, if you say “any good feeling”, I would like you to elaborate. Lust (in the broadest sense), for instance, is much more commonly thought to be a sin. Same with the feeling of drunkenness, or indeed most similar highs. But it is very debatable whether either can be considered a “good feeling”.
If you are talking about feelings such as being in love, a sense of being warm, adrenaline highs or so on, then no, only a very small minority of Christians would consider those to be sinful. Same with a number of other emotions that I will not elaborate on right now. ^_^

Hey guys I brought all my religious novels, videos, and a real life preacher for this thr-
Oh wait that’s right it’s a thread about a fancomic not about sin and religion.
By the way Bridgey, when do we find out that Sandy and Augustus are actually twins and he came back to kill her parents in an attempt to get vengeance on them for abandoning him for the daughter they always wanted. Then he banged Sandy.
(straaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaangeloooooooooooove)
Either that or the turtle did it.
Comment ID #122967
@JohnnyBUZZ: I’m sorry. I did tend to go a bit overboard there. But as far as mythology goes, I care more about the Seven Deadly Sins and the Seven Virtues than any other form of mythology.
Comment ID #122971
True enough, Toasty. I apologise for derailing the topic. ^_^
