It seems the Lib-Dems are losing seats, pity I was hoping they’d do better.
I wonder what a “minority goverment” would look like here in the U.S.? Sadly the Democrats and Republicans are very heavily entrenched in our politics and that isn’t likely to happen.

What is Clegg doing? He detests Brown and says he wants to negotiate with the Tories first. Cameron just said “change to electorate” and he’s wagging his tail like a mutt. How does he not see that Cameron will screw him on the first shot he gets? Maybe Labour should get rid of Brown and see where this goes…

We should totally re-start the Bull Moose Party.

@Quacksalver:Yay Bull Moose!
@Pronkat: As for Clegg who can blame him? His party gets something like 23% of the popular vote with less than 10% of the actual representation to show for it. With the whole hung gov. this is the first time the Lib-Dems hold the power to make such demands

Hung Parliament till Tuesday tea time according to my father, That’d really be the dogs bullocks. Though he’s right after all, Lib Dems are in the best position possible. Talks between Clegg and Cameron begun on a phone around 12 pm and they’ve had a first meeting to resume tomorrow at 8 am. Her Majesty announced that while Buckingham have been keeping closely informed and adviced about the situation, she will not personally take charge on choosing the next Prime (Better not anyway, after the Hume affair). I do hope Clegg comes to his senses and tries to pass over his distaste for Brown. Though it’s now up to Labour whether he remains as party leader or not. On a positive side, the Greens have won their first seat! And the BNP has suffered their worst defeat in history (thank god
).

So if I understood the news…….the two main parties didn’t hold enough of a majority to win the whole shebang, but the underdogs (libdems) got more than expected, which is enough to be the deciding factor in who’s gonna be running the country?
So………
Good things all ‘round?

Not yet mate. It all depends on who the underdogs choose. Their leader hates the doomsday bringer, so the doomsday bringer’s party are deciding whether to kick him out or not. Meanwhile the underdog leader is doing deals with the bastard. But we all know the bastard is going to screw him the first chance he gets.
Does that make more sense?
PS: The underdogs did pretty badly loosing seats. But that just put them in the perfect position to make their demands.

All I know is that Stephen Colbert’s coverage of the UK election is amazingly hilarious.

That’s retarded. Why is Colbert’s genius just limited to America?
I’ll try to find a non regional vid.

Damn those lazy politicians! They won’t have meetings as it’s Sunday. My father’s prediction may be true after all… Bugger, I hate it when he’s right!

At this rate U.K. politics are going to prove slower than American politics.

At this rate, I’m regretting not having put a wager on Hung, could have been around 300 Lsd for it… Damn the Guardian and it’s far-off predictions!

Also, I saw that Colbert…….England’s being a bit “poodley”. I shall have to find an excuse to use that in a conversation sometime. XD

So it happened. Cameron is the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland… The Coalition was announced minutes ago. Bullocks.

Hmmm five Cabinet positions and many concessions for the Lib-Dems, I bet they’re having a field day. Being an American I can’t claim to know much about coalition governments but I wonder how long the Conservatives & Liberal Democrats will hold it together.
Head back to the forum index.

Yeah, though at this rate it’ll be tea time before the next prime is announced!
