Down with HFCS!

Mr. Klaus October 21, 2010, 11:14 PM EST.

Comment ID #108942

@SuitCase
some of it, but the greatest ones (imo) have no hfcs.

Xaxus October 21, 2010, 11:16 PM EST.

Comment ID #108943

High Frutose Corn Syrup.
It’s bad, mmmmkay?

Xaxus October 21, 2010, 11:20 PM EST.

Comment ID #108953

Sugar, Glucose, High-Fructose Corn Syrup (which is now called Corn Sugar), Corn Syrup, Dextrose, and the rest are all bad. The only sugar one should intake is the natural sugar inside Fruits, honey, and the like.

Mr. Klaus October 21, 2010, 11:32 PM EST.

Comment ID #108959

You do realize Glucose is the molecular level of sugar, honey and such.

Okay.

J. Vincero (Jerk) October 21, 2010, 11:42 PM EST.

Comment ID #108961

Yeah, I’m just giving the different names, some of which mean the same thing.

Mr. Klaus October 21, 2010, 11:43 PM EST.

Adding sugar to tea is different than buying things with sugar already in them: In tea, the amount of sugar is a bit smaller, and you control it, while Coke and pepsi and stuff are just horrible for you.

And I don’t do carbonation, thought you might want to know. Sue me if you must..

Mr. Klaus October 21, 2010, 11:45 PM EST.

Comment ID #108964

But do you like Arizona Tea? :3

Xaxus October 21, 2010, 11:48 PM EST.

Comment ID #108968

…I can’t say i’ve had very much. I do know that their green tea has about 17 whole grams of sugar, and that the second ingredient listed is hfcs. Flavorwise…It’s probably not bad. I prefer a home blend of raspberry sun tea and organic lemonade.

Mr. Klaus October 21, 2010, 11:54 PM EST.

Comment ID #108974

I love that shit. The Green Tea with ginseng and Pomegranate Green Tea are the only ones I drink though.
Who gives a fuck about HFCS, most things in moderation is okay especially if you bother to work it off.
Not to mention it’s still being debated if it’s actually as terrible as people are saying it is for you.

Yeah, if you excercise or have high metabolism or something, it’s fine. Not like you can’t have it, but there are plenty of substitutes. Like eating chocolates to be happy instead of smoking cigarettes, except far less serious.

Mr. Klaus October 22, 2010, 12:17 AM EST.

BLEAGH
JE N`AIME PAS L`ARIZONA TEA!
you can tell i really dislike it by the french.

kazi October 22, 2010, 12:19 AM EST.

Comment ID #108984

I say go with what makes you happy if one can keep moderation/control/etc over it.
You only live life once, why substitute?

Carmen October 22, 2010, 12:20 AM EST.

Comment ID #108986

So that you can live life better and longer, so you have more time?
Actually, the thing i want most for my birthday is more time. too bad i can’t bottle it or something…

Mr. Klaus October 22, 2010, 12:23 AM EST.

Comment ID #108987

If you keep moderation and control how is it going to stop you from living longer/better? If you work it off in exercise and make sure to always eat the needed amounts of healthy stuff as well, I really can’t see how it’s going to really decrease your life that much.

I, personally, don’t plan to/want to live an extremely long time. Despite how much you take care of yourself the usual case, minus exceptions here and there, is that once you reach that certain age your body whether it be your mind or body or both are going to fail you enough to where it majorly affects you. I don’t see the point of living past that point.

I understand that, sorry if i seem to be playing devil’s advocate.

Mr. Klaus October 22, 2010, 12:34 AM EST.

Comment ID #108991

No no, not at all : )! I’m sorry if I’ve implied that at all, it’s difficult to post an opinion sometimes and not sound like you’re offended or something haha.
I can definitely respect the amount of, in my opinion, strength it takes to fend off tempting delicious treats that are generally bad for you and such. Kudos to you and others who can do it, and there’s nothing wrong with trying to express an alternate, and yes probably healthier diet considering the many out there who can’t control what they eat etcetc.
There’s also nothing wrong with wanting to live a long life.
To each his own!
