and she died along the way… i wish she didn’t have to die, she was one of my favorite when i started reading… or have her die because she fell into a pit while stalking david…. all fan characters who die should die in pits

That was Taeshi’s way of starting the fan character Holocaust. Kizuna’s the one that disappeared quietly.

I swear to God and the baby Christ Jesus, there is somewhere on this site and possibly on Candybooru of Lucy as a member of the Third Reich.

I’m new here, so forgive me if I don’t know where to look for stuff. I know that Kizuna and Carson didn’t add too much to the story besides being comic relief. But would the main reason for eliminating fan characters be due to copyright issues and ownership of characters? I know there was a big kerfuffle when Kizuna’s creator asked that Kizuna be removed from BCB.

I guess what I’m leading to is, would this dictate that all other fan characters (Tess, McCain, Larken) should be removed from the comic as well? Also, would there be copyright issues with including past comics containing fan characters in a published BCB book? Wouldn’t the characters’ owners need to give consent for that sort of thing?

I doubt that Tess, McCain, or Larken will be removed, they just won’t be put on any of the merch. The book is another deal entirely, the creators know that Taeshi is printing a book and I doubt they care.

Besides it would be a major dick move to ask for money now.

McCain shall not die. Just because he isn’t used all to often doesn’t qualify as an excuse to have him bumped off.

It’d be sad to see him go, but he should move away, or get accepted into college a year early, or something. He’s such a geek.

If he brings Sue along with him, I will be pleased.

Not that I dislike Sue in any way, but I positively love the Sue and McCain pairing. ^_^
