So let’s start this off easy. Are there any other writers here? People who enjoy writing as a hobby? Why do you like it? Is there any work, original or otherwise you’d wish more people read? What do you lack in? What are you good at? Any advice for other writers?

Oh I enjoy writing as a hobby. I write cute little memos to remind myself to get to my therapy sessions.

I am a horrible writer; not in talent or skill, but for the fact that the exact instant I have something else to do I decide that THAT is the time to write my Magnum Opus! For example: class work, my job, or sleeping. With specification added to sleeping. I’ve finished more 4500 word stories at 5 AM than I can count.

The begining of Legacy was funny. I loved it.

yeah, i enjoy writing as a hobby. Aside from playing music and drawing. But i sucked…I rarely finished my stories…and i wrote most of my stories at Midnight.

Shameless advertising for an old project

Well, I cant say im a writer but ive made some pretty good storys out of nothin. same goes for drawing. But I have a comic I hope to get started on but i need a lot of crap before it begins.(I need lots of spare time, A title, a website, some supporters, paper, art materials,etc u see what I mean?) So it might not begin till I at least start college and thats a maybe. But if u guys want I could post some it on here and see if u might like it.( a few bits of the story I mean).

I can also tell u some storys that I had to do for english. I could care less cause making up the storys is fun. writing the is a pain though lol

when you sign up, does giving it your e-mail set you up for mailing list stuff or spam? And who actually owns the work you contribute: you, or the website?

In Fanfiction.net, you can make it so you get e-mails everytime you make a story, a new chapter, are favorited, or get a review. Or you could turn them off, so you don’t get any e-mails from them.

I’m pretty sure you do.
