After extensive research with Ctrl F showed no Fear topic I decided to create one. What are you afraid of?

Hmmm…. Fear….

There are a lot of things that I find hateful or unpleasant, but there are very few things that I fear. The best I can come up with is my friends or family getting hurt, but that’s about it.

Monsters under my bed

skykitty October 31, 2010, 6:20 AM EST.

Comment ID #114991

^I don’t see why. If they have to hide under the bed, it’s obvious they are more scared of you than you are of them. Why don’t you just go down there and kick their asses?

Justplainsilly*Ninja October 31, 2010, 6:24 AM EST.

Flowers tilt toward the sun, predators hunt in the darkness. Don’t want to spook the cattle, after all.

1) You have to learn to stand up for yourself. If I came and solved all your problems for you, you would become a spoiled brat.

2) It is very unlikely that you would be able to afford the price of such a service. Ninjas ain’t cheap.

3) My schedule is kinda booked up at the moment.

Falling. Weirdly enough, I’m not afraid of heights, hell I love being high up and isolated at times. It’s such a relaxing thing to do. But the thought of falling from said height just brings chills down my spine.

@Don’t look
If I had the grace of a cat, I would most definitely be falling most of the time because I have reassurance that I’ll make it down alive and unscathed. I sadly don’t, so I just enjoy the view and tranquility.

Ehe. I am not afraid of either heights or depths, but I am terrified of being in high places because I fear that the place on which I stand will collapse. This gets worse if I can see through to the ground below. ^_^

I also get uneasy in the dark, or when I am near spiders of certain sizes. But not enough to really call either a phobia.

@Jerk, third post from top:

Jesus was not killed by jews. He was a jew himself, perhaps the first reconstructionist jew that ever lived. He was killed by the romans. Don’t be hatin on jews.

Johnny is not hating the Jews. That was his special brand of humour. ^_^

Besides, if it was not for the Jews’ insistence, Jesus would not have been killed by the Romans.

Where does it say that the Jews turned Jesus over, and what reason is given? I will not accept the bible as a legitimate resource — It was written by warped fanatics who twisted Jesus’s words, and the events that take place are saturated with fictionality. I am sure that some of the events did indeed happen, but not necessarily in the way they are described.

Dr. Klaus October 31, 2010, 6:31 PM EST.

Comment ID #115274

Well, it says that they considered him to be a blasphemer, because he called himself the Son of God. Therefore the High Priest turned him over to Pilate, and persuaded him to sentence Jesus to death. ^_^

Oh, and unless I am mistaken, the contemporary historian Josephus Flavius also mentions the events as such.

ILB October 31, 2010, 6:46 PM EST.

Comment ID #115281

Where does he say he’s the son of god? And how do they know he isn’t just saying that we all are sons and daughters of god? Which, btw, we aren’t.

Atheists do not seem to be welcome here, so I’m just gona leave lol

Wolf October 31, 2010, 6:56 PM EST.

Comment ID #115296

The only reason people disrespect atheists is because many of them are just people who can’t be bothered to think deeply about religion (Not that Wolf is one of those people ^_^)

sammy October 31, 2010, 6:58 PM EST.

Comment ID #115302

I do think deeply about about religion, I just don’t find a part of it that connects to me, so I have trouble believing in it. I did believe in the flying spaghetti monster at one point though! http://www.venganza.org/

Children crying or being hurt and not being able to do anything about it.

I remember watching someone else play Max Payne 2. You could hear a baby crying, but in order to get to its room you had to navigate a maze of thin walkways. I got the controller, and holy fuck I was freaking out - my instinct was to get to the room as soon as possible, but if I rushed my way through the maze I’d fall off and have to start over. Hearing the mother say some disturbing stuff didn’t help. When I finally got to the baby’s bedroom, there was blood everywhere; apparently the mother killed the child. Payne then killed his wife in a fit of rage before waking up from his dream. Whole thing gave me nightmares for a week.

C’mon baby.

Don’t fear the reaper. :(

I don’t know why people fear falling. I fear landing. 1-15 feet = fun. 16-100 feet = scary. 101+ feet = relaxing. I fear pain in general. I’ve accepted my death so I just fear that my life will end any other way than instantly.

@Wolf - Where are people hating on atheists? I’m an evolutionist so i might not count, but I don’t see what’s wrong with not obsessing about the afterlife when you’ve already got a regular one just sitting there waiting to be lived.
