The name isn’t bad and could be catchy if it was widely known and it looks pretty cool

in the future people will qwiki everything and then believe that a search engine based wiki has told them everything they need to know on the subject without even the least bit of personal research.
As a result, technology once again exponentially rises in inverse proportion to the USA’s average IQ. History repeats, eh?

Isn’t this just a shitty version of Google or Wikipedia?
I think it is. Seriously, people don’t -want- bells and whistles. They want to put something in and instantly get to where they want to be. Google and Wikipedia allow that; Wikipedia is faster to use and will give better results, while Google allows you to pick and choose what you’re actually looking for.
Not really the future of the internet; its too gimmicky.

I’m not impressed. It seems like 90% of the value of this is achieved with a voice synthesiser and the first paragraph of the relevant Wikipedia article.

I don’t know how many of you have heard about this already, but there is currently this thing called, qwiki which, in the future, will allow you to search a subject and it pulls up information on that subject and puts a nice display of it up for you. Apparently it works by searching as many sites/databases as it can and then compiles it. Just check out the samples right now. It’s like something out of a movie.
Now, I haven’t gotten the invite to test it out just yet, but I have browsed through the samples based on what people who are currently testing it have been searching for. I was impressed with it. This could easily change how people browse the internet.
Now, it probably won’t replace sites like google, wikipedia, youtuve, etc… but it seems to work with it instead!
