What is Yashy?

I’ve been searching through the forum for a while and I just can’t find an answer. What is Yashy? I know she is female, she came from an egg, and is green… but that’s it. Can anyone shed some light on this?

I remember seeing an old character sheet that said yashi was a yoshi. It even said she can speak the yoshi language, too bad I can’t find it again.
