Hmm….Linkara, from Atop the 4th Wall. He reviews comicbooks and points out common superhero errors.
Greg Weisman, the genius behind Gargoyles, Spectacular Spider-man, and Young Justice.

Hannibal Lector and the President George W. Bush.
I’m going to defend these choices in advance: you never said they had to be good people, and nearly everything Bush did has been fuel for some interesting debates. “May you live in interesting times,” indeed.

All the people who influenced me are friends and teachers, so you have probably never heard of any of them. ^_^

Several manga-ka have inspired me( those include Akira Wao, Nakahara An, Chikako Mori etc.). Ever since I was little I was like ‘Whoa. I wish I could draw like that…’ And I’ve practised quite a lot, but it’s still not that good.
Some people on this forum are REALLY (seriously, really) good at drawing, including Taeshi. My drawings seem to get really bad when I draw a mini-comic. ![]()

There is a story that Buckethead was invited to play for Ozzfest, but Ozzy Osbourne was too irritated that he wouldn’t take off his mask for him. I don’t know, I can understand Ozzy’s sentiment but I still appreciate Buckethead’s peculiar sense of principle.

@ magnus : I agree.
@ Jerk : That’s why I idolized him, aside from his songs.

This is one of those annoying examples of a simple question for which I have no simple answer…
I take influence and inspiration from everyone and everything I encounter. From reading web comics like BCB and print comics like Transmetropoliton, to watching independent movies and Hollywood blockbusters, to listening to songs of all shapes and sizes, and even fleeting conversations with people I meet.
If you were to ask me where my inspiration for that story, or this film etc came from, I could usually cite a few places that I drew inspiration from… But overall? I suppose I just wander through life and let ideas and notions realize themselves from wherever they might come from. That way I can be pleasantly surprised when I get the best ideas from the most unlikely of places.

@ Maverik : It is, No? Honestly it took me like 20 minutes just to write down those people. A simple question without simple answer.
…And I think your answer is the best, so far.

I don’t see any thread like this. Figured I should post one.
Now, what I mean is not just drawing or writing, but also musics.
Mine :
-Taeshi - Well, She inspired me to draw anthro animals and write slice-of-life stories (which I never Uploaded to the Internet)
-Alan Moore - his works inspired me to do a “Real-superhero” or “what-if-super heroes are real” story. and his works are really awesome, too
-Buckethead and Slash - The two guitar heroes who inspired me to play guitar
-Tim Burton - I love his twisted, yet, beautiful style and imagination…
last but not least, my father. He’s an artist, and of course, the first man who inspired me to take a pencil and draw something.
what about you?
