Who did this? Was it you?

Not sure if this is worth posting a topic, but I found this after some random searching: http://knowyourmeme.com/photos/81380
I’m just curious as to who drew it.

Not sure if that virus post was intentional or not but, regardless, thank god for google chrome’s built in security measures.

There’s a virus in there? God I’m so sorry!! My computer didn’t say anything! McAfee is absolutely useless. Really sorry!! :(

McAfee is one of the worst virus scanners out there, actually.
Save yourself money and grief and get Avast or Avira. Both are quality virus scanners that, btw, are free for home users to use.

Warning about Avira though… it will constantly bug you every time it updates to buy the paid version. There are ways around that though.

This really isn’t going as planned. Any way to delete topics? Please? Or at least change the title to somehting like “DO NOT CLICK, HIDDEN VIRUS”?

Elliot November 15, 2010, 7:31 PM EST.

Thanks, Carcharoles, I’ll get right on that. As soon as my lawsuit against McAfee comes up well for them being freakin’ useless to the point of insanity. So Avast or Avira?

AVG 9.0, 3 pack comes with firewall ;)

Either one will work. Avira takes more work though to keep it from being annoying, so if you’re a gamer and you don’t like to fiddle with programs choose Avast.

No AVG. If you want a firewall, do the smart thing and download Comodo or buy a hardware one. AVG is popular but it’s slow, inaccurate and can’t clean an infection worth a damn.

Get Bullguard. Easily one of the best pieces of antivirus software for people who hate having their systems slowed down to a crawl by constant scanning.

AVG is rather good if you want to avoid having viruses in the first place. I have not had a single one since I started using the program, about eight years ago. ^_^

Slow?… let me see 1 sec …

Oh! it only uses 1.7kb of RAM memory… :/ 6 kb when scaning.

Avg is 1 of the best antivirus out there today ;) dont worry.

So, AVG, Avast or Avira, and apparently I’m not a virus spammer. This topic is looking up! :)

P-chan, I was referring to scan speed with AVG, which in my experience, isn’t the fastest. The amount of memory it uses up doesn’t determine this. Its how fast it works.

The fastest free antivirus is Avira, which also has the highest detection rates. It is also one of the most effective. Avast is also very highly rated and does a better job of removing infections than Avira. AVG is popular, and has notoriously low detection rates, and is known for having difficulty removing what is detected. I’ll have to search for it, but there was a test done either late last year or early this year where both Avast and Avira picked up a number of infections that AVG did not.

The best AV system, really, is common user sense. Don’t go to sites you don’t trust, don’t use P2P programs, have a good firewall installed and exercise caution with opening emails and downloading files.

I use bitdefender.
It’s pricey, but I have never had a virus since I got it.

Use AVG. It is free and sexy-awesome (and Virtual Console/Ubuntu combo for pornography).

Is that Taeshi? Is her shirt always blue?

But yes, what part of Toy Story does this reference? ^_^

I have sadly never seen any of the films, so I am kind of on bare ground.

juniorboomer made that

Gnukko November 16, 2010, 9:23 AM EST.

@Elliot: Junior Boomer was the one who made that. As for the “virus” that popped up, KYM recently upgraded the site, so there have been a few reports of viruses. The staff for the site are currently trying to fix all the problems with the new site, but are currently ignoring the problem of how ugly the site is now.

So I am an unintentional virus spammer. Damn. But at least the problem’s being fixed, thanks, Gabriel :) And congrats to Junior Boomer, nice pic. So what happens now? The quesiton has been answered, so will this topic slowly become deserted?
ILB, apparently it’s from the first Toy Story film. I’d recommend it, if only to find the original pic. Very family-friendly.
Jerk, I don’t think I’ve seen a picture of Taeshi that she drew where she wasn’t in a blue shirt, aside from comics of her in Subway.
