a young gangster, i guess. A cool guy, but also an asshole. I don’t really like him.
Comment ID #126434
He’s cool. Reminds me of myself in my most horrible fantasies. But I’m quite sure he’s not really evil. He’ll be converted by the power of friendship somehow. And the scar might be a gang initiation thing, or Daisy knew he was working with rape-cat when he called Mike green-eyes.

Needs more dual-wielded Desert Eagles.

He’s a major jerk ass but my GOD, talk about bishie fuel for the forum. (Totally not a Fangirl.)

Augustus! Save some room for later!

While I ship AugustusXDaisy, I do find that Augustus has his…. “troubling” moments. Case in point, panel 11 in the page you linked to. It could potentially be abusive considering his occasional aggressiveness… Also, I’m also kinda lost on the whole scar thing, help?
Comment ID #126627
Also the fact that he almost raped Daisy…

AugustusxAbbeyxPauloxPaulo again
Just a thought.

Do the world a favor and give Augustus the Kizuna treatment.
(An extreme point of view perhaps, I really dislike the character)

AugustusxAbbey is the only pairing available here.

@Leaving A Comment: There’s that too. (but it was out of love, amirite?)
Comment ID #126671
Augustus must burn for his crimes.
Comment ID #126675
It was out of him being a creepy stalker who wanted sex. But yeah sure, it that’s not love what is?
Comment ID #126676
In a story sense I don’t really think he has much to offer. Who says a story needs a villain? Everyone here does just fine fighting over Mike and Lucy. No one is overtly evil, but the drama shines through beautifully.
Comment ID #126682
Love isn’t necessarily erotic, eroticism isn’t necessarily love. If he feels remorse for feeding info to Alejandro, then he’s not beyond redemption, but ONLY in that case. Otherwise he has only genuinely expressed lust toward Daisy and smug emotional leverage against Abbey.
Comment ID #126719
I don’t think Augustus is beyond redemption however, the chances of the AugustusXDaisy dream coming true are slim to none, redemption or not.
Comment ID #126738
Idunno. I don’t think DaisyxAbbey is gonna last. Daisy’ll screw it up.
Comment ID #126750
I want
AbbeyxAugustus so freakin bad….
Comment ID #126755
Augustus really ticks me off. Mostly because Abbey is my favourite character, but also, he controlled Daisy. He sent her out to get rejected by Mike, knowing all along what would happen, just so /he/ could be “there” for her. Although that would be nice it’s a bit different since he set up the situation on purpose. I think he’s selfish and, after revealing his plan to Daisy, a bit of an idiot. And if DaisyxAbbey ends in a bad way I’m gona cry.

nu i belive in AbbeyxDaisy

Augustus is The new Heather he like to manipulated and make others people miserable
Comment ID #126850
How can it end any way other than badly? 1) You know DaisyxAbbey is going to end, because the readers feed on drama and misery. 2) Daisy doesn’t seem entirely devoted to Abbey to me, and Paulo still probably has something for her. 3) Abbey has a violent streak, so barring all other horrible events, he will kill someone. He just has to.
Comment ID #126856
If Abbey were to pop like a balloon from a booster shot of semen administered by Augustus’s titanic steel cock, I would laugh and laugh and laugh until I couldn’t breath. And then I would continue laughing from Hell, and the vibrations would tear a hole in the barrier between our worlds and demons would invade and rape mankind to death.
Or I would get a boner.
Taeshi wouldn’t allow either.
Comment ID #126861
You laughed or got an erection, don’t deny it.

Well, he really did like Daisy. His methods weren’t exactly good, but he’s feelings were.
I also like his intelligent way of thinking.
When he talked to Abbey, he never lied, he never used aggression.
He teased, and Abbey fell for it. If Abbey was truly strong, he wouldn’t hit Augustus.
He just confirmed what Augustus said.
Mind you, I really like Abbey. It’s a pity he had his issues from his past, but Augustus didn’t exactly try to use aggression any time.
[Lily] No need to brawl, Abbey dear [\Lily]

@Lyucs
Forcing himself on Daisy the way he did counts as aggression. In fact, attempted rape is a more serious felony than assault (which is, in some cases, a misdemeanor).
Also, emotionally screwing with Abbey the way he did was itself aggressive. Not physically, but anyone who’s been in the situation would see it like a physical attack. If that’s intelligence, then all psychopaths must be geniuses.

He’s pure EEEEEEEEEVVVVVVVVIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLL

Augustus reminds me of Reino from the manga series skip beat. He’s a sprititualist who loves to mess with people and eventually the main character kyoko catches his attention but the way he goes about doing it is kinda messed up.
At first he was trying to get her to make this guy he was tormenting lose it but then we went after her to make her hate him so he could she her evil aura by attempting to rape her, the he honestly starts liking her a forces her to make Valentine’s choclates for him by kidnapping one of her little spirits. (and that’s all we’ve seen of him so far)
Now at first I didn’t care much for him but then I started to like him he’s a little akward at times and his weird way of trying to get her is understandable because the only women he’s ever tried to go after are ghosts.
He is also the only guy that likes her to actually come out and say he that he does only he kinda screwed it up but (accidentally) insulting her.
But anyway like Reino I see Augustus as having A LOT of potential if given the chance. I’d really like some info into his mind set with the whole Daisy thing.
***Crap I think someone already has this name so I’ll change it to Sammy-kins (a friends nickname)****

@Carcharocles
I didn’t see it like him actually forcing Daisy to do anything. I’m not defending what he did, but it wasn’t that strong…
And, yes, what he did to Abbey was bad, but given a bad situation, Abbey could have done the right thing or the wrong thing.
Augustus was bad, but Abbey chose the wrong thing too.
I really like Abbey, he’s the most righteous guy there, in my opinion.

@ Scotch: While it may be true that the readers thrive on drama, it would be a bit much if it ended badly. I mean come on, than there’d be all these relationships starting and breaking and gawd! However I could possibly see Abbey doing /something/ (not cheating but maybe something violent I unno) that scares Daisy out of the relationship. But I DONT see Daisy cheating on Abbey, especially with Augustus. Daisy might be a doof, but she’s not stupid enough to listen to Augustus again.
…At least I think so.
Comment ID #128788
For the record, I personally love downer endings. Not because I hate people, I just hate cheese. I never get my way. And I don’t think Daisy will cheat, I think she just won’t love him enough or something. Or it turns out that she doesn’t want a charity case after all.
Comment ID #129151
Well I guess it’s all up to personal opinion from here than. I find downer endings too common these day’s. That probably sounds like BS but it’s mostly in video games and web comics, some anime, even in Hollywood movies there’s been a few. I think that the DaisyxAbbey relationship is to show that Daisy has changed and…”grown up” for lack of a better term.
Though I also think she still may have a thing for Mike. But not like she used too.
Comment ID #129170
Eh, I quote myself when I say I have a grudging respect for him. Who he hangs with, they’re real dicks. And the pseudo-rape thingy when Abbey intervened was just him being a true asshole, but other than that, he just seems really blunt and quite cruel about it. Definately not one to care much for others.
Comment ID #129259
If I may add, although I hate the guy (Augustus) I still think he’s redeemable. Only if he were a bit more empathetic though. He does seem to be the nicest out of the group he hangs with though.
I might be speaking too soon though. Maybe there will be a future part where I’ll hate him beyond the point of redemption.
Comment ID #129345
Jerk…you made my day with that picture XD
Comment ID #129489
Augustus seems to me like the kinda of kid who’s decent at heart and doesn’t have to be “bad” but can’t find a way out of it.
Comment ID #129684
I think he won’t hurt, or cause any harm to anyone only for his own amusement.
That is something, already.
Seeing no fun in hurting others is just about enough for me to like the character.
He does hurt others, though, if it will serve him something.
Can’t win all of them, now, can we? =D
Comment ID #130720
I really like his design, even through he’s quite a badass.. Still, he’s kinda cute xD
I think I agree with johnnyBUZZ - somewhere deeeeeep inside he’s nice ^^
I still ship AbbeyxDaisy - Augustus can go and hook up with Sandy or something like that.. ![]()
Head back to the forum index.

I couldn’t find a Topic specifically discussing Augustus, so, I’m sorry if there is one.
Well, then.
I’ve been rereading the comic, and I’m at the awakening arc, when the characters learn about Tess’ past, and Daisy drifts apart from the group.
Augustus. At the end of that arc, he was sure a jerk by inciting Daisy to try to win Mike over, and later when he threw all those things in Abbey’s face.
BUT!
As he confirmed later on, he really did like Daisy.
Also, in this page:
http://www.bittersweetcandybowl.com/c34/p5.html
(the one that made me do this thread), he really sad to see Daisy run away after he said he liked her.
He’s being kind of ignored right now, but he will surely come back to torment and swirl some drama back to the characters, but this time, probably with a wee bit of danger, since he’s kinda working for the guy from Confrontation.
So, what do you guys think of him?
(also, a question, when he showed his scar, Daisy suddenly understood something, and said she’d never trust him again. I can’t figured out how Daisy linked Augustus with the guy from confrontation just by looking at his scar… Because the guy from confrontation had a scar in the exactly same place? So what? Can anyone make this brighter for my stupidity to understand?)
