What are your thoughts on Nintendo’s soon-to-be released portable gaming system?

I can’t wait.

But really: It’s steriotopic 3D.

But it’s just another one of the fucking 1500 other types of DSs why get another one

It’s got 3D games and movies. and 3D Image taking.

But it doesn’t make sense it can’t be real pop-out visual 3d without the glasses

Also why would I want to watch movies on a 2 inch screen

I think its hard for them to advertise it.
How would they do it if the means to propagate are NOT in 3D?

Only one really in front of a N3DS would be able to say anything about the feeling of its 3D.

I, personally, can’t wait for a friend to buy it.
I can’t buy it. Video games here in are fucking expensive. (Almost 2~3 times the price in the US).
We pay a lot of taxes. Damn.

Yes, 3D without special glasses. Not a new invention, too.
And its size will be like a DS XL.

To be honest, I was really, REALLY excited when I saw the E3 trailers and footage.
Although after seeing a number of people claim that 3D is just a gimmick and there’s no way a game system would be good based solely on that, the excitement toned down and I began to think of other reasons why I wanted this little piece of expensive tech so much.

In addition to the 3D being completely optional, I like how the system looks graphically. Sure, if Sony releases a PSP2, it’s quick to assume that it’ll have better graphics. But really, all I wanted out of my DS were graphical capabilities better than a souped up N64, and the 3DS out did my expectations.

I also really love the addition of an analog pad. Rayman DS was almost unplayable with a D-Pad, so this is a welcome addition in my book.

And last but not least is the promising game line up. I know, I know, Ocarina of Time remake, BUT STAR FOX! YES! THANK YOU! Kid Icarus, Metal Gear, and Resident Evil too.

Sorry if I sounded too fanboy-ish to anyone. ‘Nintendo’ is plastered on every system I own, but mostly because they produce inexpensive hardware, heh…

(Yeah, I’m too thrifty to afford a PS3, as much as I’d like one. ;-; )

I have to admit the graphics are pretty good but I was more expecting them to put effort into a new stuff. Here are some suggestions.

1)Better Internet for wii
2)Make the wii have better graphics
3)Update games on the wii
4)Obtain better 3rd party support
5)Make a new handheld system with graphics good as the psp and with 1 larger touch screen(For viewing movies)
6)Most Importantly:STOP FUCKING USING MOTION CONTROL

I can’t wait. I can’t believe no one has said that they are remaking LoZ: Ocarina of Time for the 3ds… I thought alotta people liked that game.

@WTF: Touché sir but, I’m referring to taking MGS 3 (my favorite entry) on the go with me. If I could, I’d get Peace Walker but, I don’t have a PSP and I’m certainly not considering buying one this late in the handheld generation with the PSP2 on the horizon. Also, I have a shit-ton of DS games so the backwards-compatibility thing is a huge selling point for me…

It has a Kingdom Hearts game coming out…I have to consider it for this reason…well that and any future Pokemon games.

The lineup is fantastic. If the stereoscopic 3D makes the parallax effect that it looked like it did, I will buy it in a heartbeat. There seem to be a lot of good reasons to buy it, altogether. I’ll give it some time, see the graphics on the GameStop display version and then decide whether I want one or not by this time next year.

Not buying anymore Nintendo shite (minus games) until Pikmin 3 is officially announced.
So screw the 3DS.
