Anyways, what do you think of fancharacters? And how much leniency do you think creators of these mutant offspring should have? I once saw someone who was going to use a character from BCB for his comic, which I thought was blatant plagiarism. In your opinion, how much is too much? Do you have any fancharacters?

I’m not good in the arts department.
I don’t care if they exist, as long as they don’t get in the story.
(or if Taeshi takes possession of them and is enabled to do whatever she wants with them)

Once put into the main story (with lines) I believe they are no longer mere fancharacters but adopted bastard children if you will. they become solidified.
with others, it is really fine with me and most others ive seen, to have fanchars so long as you do not try to “push” them at people so to speek. fanfic or a fancomc should be perfictly fine, only problem happons is when they get to popular and some demand they be put into the actual comic, then taeshi kills you and them

I’m just meh with fanchars. S’long as they don’t inturrupt the plot, I think that they’re fine.

I only hate fancharacters when they’re plunged into romance or attempted badassery

Tess is a fancharacter. Abbey was put into the story by Taeshi as her own idea, as a way of developing Daisy. Apparently he is vital to the plot. ^_^

Well, but technically, the fanchar is still property of its creator, and that limits the author.
Kizuna’s creator, if I remember, asked for her to be taken away from BCB.
That’s not cool, for the author… she can’t really rely on those characters.

That’s why I said I agree with them in the comics as long as Taeshi takes possession of them.

I agree, there is totally a lack of siamese cats in the comic. Most awesome cat breed of all (second only to stray cats, that is)
