And by that, I meant he said where they are from, which is Thailand.

And, while strikingly similar to the loveable russian blue, the greatest difference is likely eye shape, body structure, and deepness of the blue color.

So does it take many years like a regular doctor?

Pronkat May 4, 2010, 11:55 PM EST.

Comment ID #15373

Oh, you know. 4-5 for vet school itself then maybe a few years more if you want to specialize. It’s much harder an much more cutthroat than being a doctor as vet schools are limited and so are specialty schools. However, once you get out of vet school you are almost guaranteed a job, as is more demand for vets than can possibly be filled by whats being pumped out of the schools.

One of my mates wants to be a vet. He doesn’t think he’ll get in straight away so he’s doing general science at first and then going on to veterinary studies.

Well, you need to basically graduate from a 4 year college and have the basic prerequisite courses the school demands, a good GPA, great experience with animals/ vets, and letters of recommendation, and still your chances suck. Most schools only take a little over… one hundred students? And god forbid if you apply out of state…. They only usually accept like, 5 of them.

Well, we are in Ireland, so I don’t know how similar or not it is… Though ne of my teachers told us he knew some vet graduates. Basically they worked their asses off, and only went to party twice a year. He remembers they went bonkers during the rare times they let their hair down..

Oh.
Ireland.
Yaaahhhh we in the states have….look I have no idea what it’s like over there, but i can tell you that the doctors I know go out often enough, when they don’t have work the next day. Although, as students you literally have no time for that. SERIOUSLY.

doctors and nurses are the WORST kinda people to get drunk with. I once went to a wedding in the DEEP south of England (I was the only man in a kilt.) all the bridges friends where medical staff and i got chaced round the place by scary nurses who demanded to know if i had underwere on or not.
