It just sort of struck me all of a sudden. Exactly what does Mike DO now?

I’d like to think the guy has a life outside of Lucy/Sandy… but save for his in-school interaction with the other members of the group, what does Mike really do outside of school?

I mean.. he wouldn’t hang around with Paulo or David.. he’d be a third wheel with Daisy, and Abbey. Lucy presently wants him to burst him into flames no doubt. He doesn’t seem close to any of the minor characters either…save maybe Sue… who.. still doesn’t strike me as someone he’d hang out with after class. But.. then again.. he did agree to help her with that play…so who knows?

Does he just..day-dream all day, maybe hike in the woods a bit, before going home, and hoping he gets to talk to his long-distance girl-friend soon? Maybe with such a focus on the other characters I’m missing a lot of his subtle interactions with everyone… but it still feels like he’s isolated himself.

Well, he’s involved with the drama club now… but… other than that…. ugh… video gaems?

Well, no. I don’t know what type of tree Michael sits under, but it’s obviously one with leaves on. ^_^

I was referring to the fact that he sits below a tree while contemplating Sandy. I think the only reason he’s sitting there is because the two of them used to be there.

Taesheezy is so cruel. Putting those two sugar cupcakes Abbey and Daisy together and then wrecking everybody who deserves to be shipped. (I don’t hate Daisy, but Abbey has been a thorn in my side since he showed his face.)

hi is at the age where a lot of guys stop making new friends. and as the group they grew up with starts to splinter it can be hard to try to form new bods with new people.

Yeah because forming new bods is physically impossible, new bonds however is a different matter. Anywho Mike doesn’t have that much time to be alone even if he wants it. With the play, the can comp (whenever Paulo isn’t in a jealous bitchy mood) and studying with Daisy, he has enough in his hands at it is…

Surprise, Mike is popluar in school now.
(or at least more than during the whole cheater ordeal)
Although, I did recall Sue asking Mike out along with the rest of the fan club in 8th grade.
(before he was labeled a pedo. )

As a seasoned loner, I can confidently say that Mike is not of our number. Loners usually have some sort of antisocial tendencies, and I really haven’t seen any of that in Mike. Clearly, he enjoys his quiet time under the trees and in the nature, but the only one he’s probably avoiding (on purpose) at this point is Lucy.

Whenever there’s a rift like this amongst a tight group of friends, it’s sometimes hard to include both of the quarreling parties. It doesn’t seem like anyone wants to stop being friends with either Mike or Lucy, but Mike is the one doing the avoiding, and Lucy is the needy one, so if someone is going to be left out for the sake of the group, it’ll be Mike.
