I’m sorry to bother everyone with this, but I thought I’d throw this out there.
I don’t know what the current plans are for the comic, and that a single person’s opinion won’t change them—even then, I didn’t intend to.

I just think Mike deserves to be with Sandy much more than with Lucy TBH. I mean, I know Lucy just felt lonely and stuck around him to have some company, but any way you look at it, she was mean to him all the time—even if in a typical tsundere way—and Sandy was always sweet and supportive. Hell, Sandy stuck by him even after all those years of not seeing each other. Yeah… Overall, I not only think Mike should end up with Sandy, but also that Sandy deserves Mike.

I’m sorry, but if it turns out any other way, I’m gonna end up literally crying—I’m really sensitive to this kind of stuff >~<;

Here’s something I’ve been thinking about Sandy lately - I’m wondering if she’d love Mike so much that she’d deliberately try to ease him into a relationship with Lucy just because she’s always so busy and far away. She did try to include Lucy with their playing after all.

I know things can change, but I somehow don’t see Lucy getting over Mike for awhile. Or any time soon. Or at all. >.> <.

How can they end up together if they haven’t seen each other? Both Mike and Sandy have undoubtedly changed over their long years apart. I’d bet that will come up before long. Granted the who Lucy-is-mean thing is why I’ve been MikexSandy…but I just don’t think it’s in the cards.

He’s slowly (and sometimes unwittingly) alienating himself for a girl which he hasn’t seen in aeons. He’s refused his crush which he had heavily for years for this reason. His life seems to become more and more entangled with this ideal each day, and chases her across towns to fail time and time again. More than a hopeless romantic like say, Liam, he’s behaves liked a whipped person.

I know it’d end up with Lucy going emo, but I’d much rather have a happy ending for sweet Sandy.

So 30 Lsd Lucy goes with Liam, 60 with Jessica…

I think the MikexSandy pairing is just too sweet to fail.

Granted, I’m also a hopeless romantic, and I kinda wanna see them succeed where I’ve failed countless times… But I think they just fit too well together. It’s not even a matter of common interests. They just… ‘Work’ together.

Oh and they’ve clearly had plenty of contact. They’ve been talking on the phone now. And judging by the fact that Mike showed Paulo a photo of Sandy, it would seem that they have exchanged current photos.

I for one do not.

random ending: all got sucked to an epic universe and start over on BCB 2

But yeah. I know it wouldn’t be a happy ending for Lucy, but to be honest, I’d rather see her than Sandy getting depressed. I wouldn’t want to see either, but if I have to choose, seeing someone as sweet and gentle (from what we’ve seen so far, at least) as Sandy getting all depressed is something that really makes me cry outright.

What if Sandy died? :O

Seriously, we still don’t know pretty much anything about Sandy’s personality.

It is interesting to note that we have seen one thing here though - two faces. She seems a bit down in the elevator, but once she puts on the sparklies and the smiling face, she looks like a totally different person. Masks are dangerous things, especially if you wear the wrong one at the wrong time - or worse, wear one around most people ALL the time, and never let yourself be yourself. And of course, when your parents are ones you need to wear a mask for…

And lest we forget - Daisy perceived herself as being abandoned by Sandy for Micheal. That little aspect of her personality has yet to be explained.

People criticizing Lucy for being clingy should probably remember that Sandy hasn’t given up on this guy she hasn’t been able to see for close to a decade. We don’t really know anything about Sandy’s personality. Is she with Mike because he’s the only person she’s allowed to be herself around? IS she herself to Mike, or does she put on a mask for him as well as she is expected to for everyone else? Does she love him, or the freedom he represents? For all we know, she could be as clingy as Lucy. We have barely seen the two interact at all, and in memory, the two seemed fairly inseparable.

And let’s face it - Mike himself has some issues in this department, given his behavior towards Lucy and Sandy - he rushed off to another town on the off-chance that he had spied her on television, and he used to hang around Lucy tons. Of course, this could be an artifact of when we see the pair, but it does seem that Mike, while he has many friends, really cleaves to Lucy and Sandy moreso than he does anyone else, and his clashing with Paulo as the other center of female attention (despite his protestations of not liking it at all) is interesting. Indeed, he himself notes that he had been neglecting Daisy freshmen year - and he definitely had been.

All these and more, in the next episode of Dragonball Z!

And seriously folks, why must someone you don’t like be a slut/unfaithful? Its possible, of course (we know very little about her) but we’ve seen nothing to suggest either for or against the possibility, so speculating about it seems a bit silly to me. OMG I HAT SANDY BECAUSE MIKE X LUCY FOREVER. Obsessive much?

We all know Mike x Lucy is the ending anyway, and part of the sweetness is the anticipation.

I like how you put that, and I can agree with most of what you’ve said. But I think you may want to reconsider that last line.

As much as I support the Mike X Lucy ending, it is unrealistic to assume anything at this point. Better not to get your hopes up just yet.

You speak of masks… Have you never been to a job interview? Do you really think that they are going to hire a model who is frowning? No! They want happy bright sparkly people!

I do agree however, that people need to stop letting their love of any given pairing make them hate other characters. Sure, I want Mike & Sandy to get together. But I don’t hate Lucy. In fact, I kind of want her to end up with Paulo. No offence to Jasmine, but I’ve a feeling that they are destined to be a highschool romance and no more.

I’d argue why I hate your analasis of Sandy, but frankly I’m sick of arguing with you about it, so I’m going to just let you wallow in your ignorance.

We know nothing about Sandy Maverik. We know:

1) She is a model (and THIS STILL HASN’T SHOWN UP IN CONTINUITY - we only know because Taeshi has told us).

2) She has a long-distance relationship with Micheal. We don’t really know much about it beyond them calling each other/writing letters, though, and we have seen exactly one full conversation between them - and then only from Micheal’s end. We have had another described to us. We know how Micheal feels about it, but we don’t know how Sandy does.

3) We know her family is controlling. Again, this is Word of God here - we’ve not seen all that much of her mom yet, and it takes a bit to establish it.

We don’t even know if she’s really two-faced or, as you said, she is just trying to impress here. However, it does remind me of Paulo doing the same thing - is that their “real” face? I’d tend to argue not so much.

And yes, Jasmine is not going to end up with Paulo, simply because Taeshi had to make her up for the last chapter. Though I guess its possible the ending was Paulo x Some random chick I make up later on, I really doubt it.

Methinks the end is Paulo x Daisy simply because of all the Paulo x Daisy moments over time, even though Daisy doesn’t (currently) like him like that and Paulo denies it.

And while I know you’re devoted to Mike x Sandy, they got together in like chapter 20, probably less than a quarter of the way into the comic, and possibly as little as 10%. There’s no way they’re staying together because why even show Mike as much as she has? He’s a main character, and one of the rules for such is that they cannot have their romance concluded until near the end - and given that this comic is fundamentally about the relationships between the characters, this goes double. Mike x Sandy is doomed for this very reason. With the law of conservation of detail applying…

This is not to say that Mike x Lucy is a foregone conclusion - it is the likeliest by analysis, but other endings are possible (though Paulo x Lucy is very unlikely due to Word of God saying that they won’t end up together back in the Another Shoulder arc - thanks comments! It would be the second most likely one otherwise, but&hellip. Mike x Daisy is something of a possibility. Heck, so is Mike x No one (though I doubt it will be so in the “good end&rdquo. I just don’t think Mike x Sandy is even a remote possibility due to the laws of good storytelling, because it would make a lot of the comic a shaggy dog story.
