Hey pplz! Just started reading this comic (okay so i’m up to current in two days >_>’… what can I say? It’s addictive)

Actually, the one image I’ve had in my head for the last few days is from my fic “All It Takes. It’s basically the brief moments after Sarah hugged Sandy in the bathroom, but before she realized the embarrassing situation she was now in ^^;

EDIT: Also, as I may have already told you, I love the Paulo drawing But as usual, I’m not great at giving any kind of criticism against artworks, as it’s all pretty much black magic to me ^^;

I’ve said this several times already, but these are VERY GOOD!!! The bodies are well-proportioned, the art is detailed, and you capture the look and feel of Taeshi’s characters wonderfully!

This is entirely my fault, and I DON’T want you to change anything, but the eyes look a tad too far apart. It’s really not a problem, just… mildly unsettling…

Jasmine is freaking adorable.

And that is a fact.

Lets see.. lets get the critical stuff out of the way first. Avoiding picking on any one particular picture the two things that my brain seems to keep catching. One… the eyes and faces I dunno.. something seems off there. Too spaced apart? Maybe the heads are just made too squished down? Maybe a bit of both?

Second problem… the characters builds look very human like.. to the extent it’s almost as if none of them have fur. Like they’re naked humans with their skin painted if that makes any sense. Save their tails and faces naturally, it being most noticeable on the body and legs.

One the positive side…

For the most part though these issues are mostly knitpicks and seem to be getting less and less prominent the more art you draw. The most recent Jasmine picture is quite good, very adorable, the face structure is fine, and that whole ‘body paint’ non-sense is less noticeable.

The real artist types around here are free to give me a bloody nose if I’m seeing things though ^_~

Actually i really appreciate the critique, Bribri. I had previousy been caught up on the eyes thing hence have been trying to fix that. Glad that I’m at improving, of only a little. I realise that the bodies are human- i do this for two reasons; 1. it’s my style and i enjoy mixing the human elements in a bit more than other artists, and 2. i’m not yet well versed in animal characteristics.

On that note, i do intend to bring in more animal features. The feet were gonna be my next move. (fur i’m not so worried about atm since they’re only sketches and i haven’t seen many other arists make the characters super furry) I also was going to play around with making the bodies a bit longer. Don’t know how that’s gonna turn out, but we’ll see.
