The perfect partner

Comment ID #23360

What makes the perfect partner? Is it their looks and charms? Or their humor and shyness?

Pretty much, what do you look for in a guy/girl? Who would have the perfect traits?

(And if you’re lazy, you can just pick someone from BCB :P)

Edit: I meant to make this romance ):

Personality-wise: so long as we can have fun together I don’t really care
Physical-wise: I don’t care much about body type so long as you’re not massively obese, what really gets me though is a pretty face

Honestly I’ve never had a crush so I’m not too experienced with this, but I have seen some peole with loverly faces that I could look at, but something always turns me off about everyone

Oh BCB Forum, will you ever come to love my deadpan sarcasm?

I could say that I’m into bookish girls, especially redheads; and there’s no bigger turn on for me than a well educated woman with an opinion. (Bonus points if they’re artsy) But where’s the fun in telling strangers that I’m looking for someone I can see as my equal, or superior?

The fun is in the shocked expressions we assume right before we start making fun of you, that’s where!

@TheNoun
A pulse? Man… I wish my standards could be that high…

In all seriousness though.

Pretty much my girlfriend minus the crippling depression. But we’re working on that.

She has all the physical traits that I find attractive, not too slim, not overweight, a really pretty face, a relatively small chest…

Personality wise, she’s alot smarter than me in some areas, while I’m better in others, so we compliment each other well. She loves my terrible sense of humour, and she puts up with my extreme bizzare behaviour.

I love her with all my heart, and she returns the feeling.

Oh, well if we’re going to be serious here, I’ve really no idea what the fuck I’m looking for in a woman. I mean, I could give you a list of things I keep an eye out for, but I doubt I could reduce a perfect woman down to just a list of her attributes. She’ll be more than just a list of her features.

And that’s faaaar cheesier than my first answer.

Maybe so, but it may be one of the most logical here

She has to be my intellectual equal and my rival. We have to hate each other a little, because it makes for awesome sex and fun fights so long as neither of us crosses a line. She’d be a perfect enemy, a villain, an anti-strophe to my style. She has to be evil without being a bitch or passive-aggressive.

She has to have the same lust for life that I do. That’s why I broke up with my last girlfriend: she genuinely hates life and unless that changes there’s no future between me and her. I’m willing to drink and take risks and smoke and do whatever it takes to have fun all because I spent fucking years holding myself back. No more. “Buy the ticket, take the ride.”

I need that kind of passion and aggression, and a sense of humor too. And, what’s more, willing to love me just as much as living life.

Maybe none of this makes sense? I dunno. That’s how it is for me.

someone who is both attractive in body and mind… someone who can understand and accept me for who i am, does not have to accept 100% of every one of my actions but not hate me for them either…. someone who i will not have to complain about everyday cause they frustrate me, someone who i would be glad to get off a work and go home to
someone whom i can hold without them thinking i want sex all the time… relationships are more then sex to me

I think I pretty much bagged the perfect partner in Souppy minus the.. you know.. slim muscly body :-[ BUT I CAN MANAGE *Slapped*

I love someone who is independent, smart, and somewhat on the jerkish side. I think I try to look for a person who completes me.. considering I’m in no way independent, my intelligence leaves a lot to be desired, and I’m a total pushover. Souppy and I find ourselves agreeing with most of everything, only he has the guts to actually say it. Whilst I cower in the corner ;.;

His organisation is so hot, too. He’s mildly compulsive and I find that super cute. He’s also level-headed, not taking life so bloody seriously.

I love my Souppy ;.;

I agree with paragraph one of Fiery Death Chili, but I also have to say that it is not easily enumerated - someone could fulfill all my written criteria and not click with me (or likely me with her). Sarcasm is awesome, after all, and a great deal of intelligence is important.

Sharing interests is also highly important, as is having some need for privacy - I’d go nuts around someone all the time, no matter who they were, so sometimes doing our own thing would be important.

Nerdy, no mental illnesses, my intellectual at least near-equal, gamer, crazy ambitious, capable of seeing the strings… you know, the normal stuff someone like me would want. No mental illnesses is negotiable, but it has to be something you can, you know, deal with.

I would write out a few paragraphs for this but then I’d have to put a ton of effort into it.

Personality wise: Can’t be a bitch. Gotta be able to laugh. Big bonus if they can draw. Big bonus if they play games. Have to be able to trust me if shit hits the fan. Intelligence is an important trait, they don’t have to be a genius, but they gotta have some smarts. That’s one problem with this girl in my class, she’s really cute, really funny, got long blond hair and a really pretty smile, but she’s really dull most of the time.

Physical Appearance: Not that important to be honest. Pretty smile is good. Nice face is preferred. Weight isn’t that big of an issue, but there is a limit. Breast size doesn’t matter to me. I love a girl with long hair, but it’s not a requirement. Most girls I’ve met are smaller than me, so height isn’t an issue either.

I believe that the definition of the perfect couple varies between person, but generally, there must exist a balance between physical and psychological attraction between the two people.

I had a better explanation, but can’t really think of it right now. But it was something like, a good couple will value these physical and psychological traits similarly, and they will succeed in satisfying each other.

Eh, I think the perfect partner for me would be someone with a more or less opposite personality. I’m quite silent (hard to believe, eh? ^_^), I’m horribly squeamish and easily startled, and I also have problems with approaching people. So someone who talks a lot, who doesn’t scare or frighten as easily, and who has no problems with striking up conversations, would be a good match. I don’t think everything ought to be opposite, though, but a couple where both persons stay silent all the time and are deathly afraid of picking up a spider wouldn’t really last long, I think. ^_^

I really have no other preferences. None that I know of, at least. Except, I nearly forgot, my partner shouldn’t be a complete asshole.

I’d like to quote the classic Broadway musical ‘My Fair Lady’:

Let a woman in your life/ and you’re plunging in a knife
she will ask you for advice/ your reply will be concise/
she will listen very nicely/ then go out and do precisely what she wants

That being said, I want a woman who ISN’T going to come to me for every little papercut and emotional roadbump she hits. Something about alternative women.
Unfortunately the opinionated ones are the hardest to hold on to.
