Panic Switch seems to go really well with the recent events in the comic.

I love the Unmerry Melodies chapter. All of the songs were so fitting to each scene Yeah, the first song was pretty tense to listen to. I can’t find a good translation for the last song Lucy was singing though, but from the sketchy translations, the lyric in the comic translated out to be: “I would rather be alone than to be wrong again.” Really fitting to Lucy.

I won’t hold it against you that you picked “Changes.” At the very least it means you’re familiar with Black Sabbath and that’s as good as I could hope for out of anybody.

I cannot believe noone suggested this as an overall theme for BCB but… Bittersweet Symphony by The Verve. Not all of the lyrics are relevant, but the overall feel sure seems to be.

Also along the “not a perfect match but pretty damned close in theme”:

Paulo (pre maturity): Amadeus by Falco (translate some of the lines, they match his attitude)

Lucy/Michael: Two Hearts by Men at Work. Fits both of em.

Lucy (post Mike drama): Drive by The Cars

After reading through this topic, I spent the better part of an hour re-listening and reading the songs that I normally listen to, and I’ve found some cool connections. Keep in mind that I have a pretty limited list of songs, so some connections might be a bit of a stretch.

I’ve found that these few songs portrays or symbolizes a character’s personality well:

Abbey - “Breaking the Habit” by Lincoln Park (“The Habit” is his compulsive behavior caused by his troubled past.)
McCain - “Superstition” by Stevie Wonder (The song ultimately dismisses superstition, or “things you don’t understand”, such as emotions, as inefficient, which implies logic as a solid replacement, much like how McCain replaces his emotion with logic.)
Lily - “Piano Man” by Billy Joel (Much like Lily, the piano man in the song acts as a soundboard for many of the characters, and her advice is also appreciated afterwards.)

Man, I always feel like I’m writing an essay when I do this. ^_^’ Yeah, those are three so far. I’ve got more on my mind, but I’ll post those later. Don’t want to waste all the discussion at once.

I think Billie Jean fits Mike and Lucy pretty well. Figuratively, Yashy is their kid because he thinks Lucy is her mom and Mike’s her dad.
