I’m afraid so… It’s a shame, considering his age, I guess it kinda makes sense, although it’s very sad to see a man who had all the talent in the world has left us.

Well, he wasn’t all that young and it wasn’t murder or anything, so I guess he gave the best he could.

When Paul McCartney and Eric Clapton die, I’ll have a bottle of tequila ready.

@ Jacob: I put up some videos. He took over Ozzy’s position in Black Sabbath when he left to solo. Ronnie James Dio is also the inventor of “The Horns.” Every time you throw up the horns during a particularly awesome song, you owe one to Dio.

I knew who he was and I knew his music kicked ass just didn’t listen to him often that often is all.
I’ll be sure to give my respects with the horns the first time I go to a Music Concert.

@Jerk: He didn’t invent the horns, it was an Italian thing, he just popularised it in music terms.

Well originally it just meant bullshit, so you could probably say that he invented the horns as we know them

He invented the context. I mean, anybody could’ve made the hand gesture before that but he connected it to metal. So I’d still argue that he invented Der Hornen.

Well yeah, in that way it makes sense.

It is a sad day indeed… I play my favorite Rainbow song “The Temple Of The King”, and remember that it was Dio that made that song, and that band, so epic.
