[Chapter 1]
It’s been another hard day at school. Nothing extraordinary at all; tons of homework, physics, math, mechanics… just the common assignments you see in an engineering program. I’m still very pissed that I was 1% away from passing the physics introductory exam, which got me stuck on this piss easy course. I call it bullshit; I’ve yet to see something I don’t know of in this class, so they must be making these exams just to make people fail them.
The bus finally arrives. The crowd gathers, so I just wait behind until there are fewer people. I head into the bus and take the only seat that’s left. There’s a young girl sitting next to me; I find her short hair and white fur kind of pretty… maybe it’s time to try again.
-Hi.
-Umm… Hi.
I notice she has a Rolling Stones bag.
- Nice bag. I kind of like the Rolling Stones. You like rock music?
She smiles. - Thank you. Yeah, I also like the Rolling Stones. – She goes once again back into silence.
Not very talkative it seems. I try to start a conversation with her the whole trip, to no avail. The bus finally reaches my stop, so I wave goodbye and step out. I walk back home mildly satisfied with the outcome:
I didn’t talk with her to hit on her; I was trying to overcome my shyness. Being this way already cost me a lot once, and I just can’t allow that kind of thing to happen again. I’ll change… for her sake.
It’s already been half a year since she left, though I’m still having some trouble getting over her… I really wish I wasn’t this shy, maybe then I could have told her I loved her in time. But it doesn’t matter, it’s too late for that now anyways, she’s just gone, and I couldn’t do anything about it. Fuck… I really miss her…
I notice a tear coming out of my eye, so I wipe it off and keep walking.
I reach home. It’s pretty much the average day right now. I do homework, spend the day playing videogames… that’s pretty much all I do.
[…]
I hate how time flies, it’s already time to sleep.
I get into bed, but it’s not long until she comes back into my mind. Looks like this will be yet another sleepless night…
[…]
It’s finally Friday, just this day and I can enjoy the weekend, though it only lasts two days and then Monday… ugh. Better not think about it now and just go to school.
I say goodbye to and walk to the bus stop.
Seems like the bus isn’t here yet. I sit down to wait for it, but then notice another girl standing nearby to my left. She was white, had beautiful blue eyes and a pink ribbon on her neck. I’ve never seen anyone else wearing a ribbon like that, so it seemed kind of funny. Nevertheless, she also seemed to be waiting here so… it’s probably time to give it another shot while I wait for the bus to come.

I’m still waiting for your next fiction story, it was great
Comment ID #26441
Thanks for the input, that certainly motivates me to keep me going. ^^
I was kinda worried since I’ve never written any fiction before either, it was kind of an experiment to see if it worked. I had fun writing this so I certainly will keep making them.

Hmmm… It’s a little odd… Why did you stop there? Was it meant to be a cliff hanger? It just seems a little short to really get people hooked with one…
Also, it’s worth noting that you should get into the habit of putting quotation marks around peoples speech. It makes it easier to follow that way.
Keep posting though. I’ll be interested to see where you go with the story.

It seemed a lot easier to read on MS Word. Haha.
I will start quoting from now on then.
Also, I stopped there because I liked the “Oh poor guy, he’s clueless” thought it might inspire on people.

[Chapter 2]
“So close no matter how far
couldn’t be much more from the heart
forever trusting who we are
and nothing else matters.”
I revolt in bed as I hear the alarm go off. I figured I couldn’t just let it play completely, so I just turn it off and get up. I can’t believe how the weekend ended so fast, it’s already Monday.
I walk towards the bathroom in order to wash my face, need to wake up already. Water starts flowing; it’s cold to the touch. I can’t stand cold water at all… but still, I’m falling asleep like this. I splash some of the cold water into my face and start rubbing.
Ah.
This really hurts. I had thought it would be okay by now but it seems my face still hurts from last Friday morning. Who would have thought girls could be that aggressive. It was kind of my fault anyways, even though I was just joking to break the ice, I think I shouldn’t have made fun of her ribbon. That sure made me look like an asshole, so I better apologize if I ever see her again.
I get changed, wearing my usual horizontally striped long sleeve shirt. I like this shirt, keeps me warm most of the time and I also like the pattern.
Breakfast is the usual, eggs with corn tortillas. I can’t complain of this breakfast though, as I really like it. Once I’m finished, I brush my teeth and head over to the bus stop.
Seems like there’s somebody else this time. It’s surprising how I am the only person at school that actually takes this stop, so all I have to talk with while I wait are these random people. I sit next to the guy, but he seemed to be quite distracted in his thoughts as he gazed forward into infinity, with a weird smile on his face. I think it’s better if I don’t bother him.
I see the bus drawing closer so I stand up and wait for it to get here. It stops and opens its doors, so I climb in once again and just enjoy the trip.
[…]
Mondays always seem so long, they are always full of math-heavy classes, and while I enjoy them relatively, they are still quite tiring. Glad it’s over for today, and Tuesdays aren’t as loaded. I board the bus back home and fall asleep.
I wake up just in time to catch my stop; I’m already used to the duration of the trip so I kind of wake up by myself.
I step out of the bus. The guy I saw this morning is still sitting there, and gives me the impression that he didn’t move an inch the whole time I was at school. Of course, that is impossible, but the fact that he is still here in this same spot creeps me out. I stare at him for a moment and then keep going.
Finally back home, I greet my family and sit down to eat. Wash the dishes once I’m finished and proceed to doing my homework. It’s not much this time, especially because tomorrow is Tuesday.
[…]
Now that homework is done I can have the rest of the day for myself. I spend said time chatting with some of my friends, and playing an MMO I’ve been playing for a long time now. I’ll probably be playing this until the end of time, never got bored of it.

Leveled up pretty nicely today, but the day is pretty much gone now. I’ll just go eat some cereal and go sleep.
I stand from my chair and head to the kitchen. Looking at what we currently have, it seems like I don’t have a wide selection. I can pick between All-bran and Frosted Flakes, and not being a fan of healthy cereal, I go for the quite obvious choice.
I really am lucky; the box only had enough cereal left for a single serving. I open the fridge and take the carton of milk… on second thought I’m not as lucky, somebody put an empty carton in the fridge. Looks like there’s no milk available, do I have a replacement? Well… this brand of milk is much diluted anyways, so it shouldn’t taste very different if I used water instead. I serve water into my plate and taste it; just as I thought, it tastes as if I used soy milk, which is actually not that bad. I really need to remember this just in case.
Once I finished up my cereal, I brush my teeth and go to bed.

“Never opened myself this way
life is ours, we live it our way
all these words I don’t just say
and nothing else matters”
I wake up to the usual song. Today my face doesn’t hurt as badly anymore. I just do what I do every morning and head to the bus stop.
What!? That guy is still here. It feels even creepier but now I’m really starting to get really curious about what he is doing sitting there, and if there’s something I really can’t resist, its curiosity.
I sit next to him.
-“Hey”
The guy turns is head and looks at me, but doesn’t say a word. That smile of his makes me feel uneasy but still, he doesn’t look like he’s going to jump on me and kill me.
-“I was kind of wondering… what are you doing here?”
-“Carter waits for Lucy”
Strange fellow, talks in third person. Better not to comment on it or I might just offend someone else.
-“Oh I see, so you’re waiting for someone. You were supposed to meet yesterday?
-“No”
-“Then why were you waiting here since yesterday”
-“Because Carter might see Lucy walk through here”
-“Wait a moment… that means you’ve been sitting here the whole time? Don’t you get bored or need to eat or anything?”
-“If Carter moves, he might miss Lucy”
Damn, this guy is serious business. I though, wonder who this Lucy might be. Maybe he will go away once she comes.
-“So, who is this Lucy to you? A friend of yours?”
-“Carter loves Lucy”
-“Oh, I see… Well, if you want I can tell you if I see her around somewhere, can you describe her to me?”
-“Lucy is white, and has blue eyes. Lucy also wears a ribbon”
Ugh… looks like this guy is acquainted with the girl who punched my face. I better get on his good side.
-“Umm… look I saw a girl like that last Friday on this stop. Knowing most people follow routines, she may appear next Friday morning as well. So I suggest you stop waiting for now and go rest, you can come back on Friday if you really want to see her. I’ll also be here next Friday, so if I see her on another day I’ll make sure to tell you. So… you say your name is Carter?”
-“That is Carter’s name”
I see the bus finally arriving, so I better end this conversation.
-“Well Carter, guess I’ll see you around. My name is Hebs by the way”
-“Carter is grateful to Hebs”
Saying that, he stood up and left. Was he really going to sit there the whole week?
The bus arrives and I board it. It’s just a day like any other from here on.

I like the impression of Carter. Creepily realistic…

I’d appreciate it if more people would comment on it.

I get the feeling that carter loves his third person but that he is defiantly more animated. Oh god I have read box of tricks soooo many times. Still, I liked this part better
Comment ID #26832
Hahahahahahahahahahhha
That Carter bit took me by utter surprise, well done. The way Lucy is described makes me think she’s a weirdo because all she wears is a ribbon and that can’t be translated to real life gahahah
people wear necklaces, scarves, but not ribbons. It’s interesting how that is cornered in a completely unbiased perspective.

I’m not really knowledgeable with writing so I can’t really help with critique :-[ you have pretty good spelling though!!! Spelling so easily turns me off of some writing.

Happens to me as well.
In forums and that kind of stuff, I tend to mildly be a grammar nazi. =P
Things are different on chats or games though, but I still type in ways I’m sure others will understand me.

[Chapter 3]
Another week gone. They are starting to seem shorter than before, maybe because the semester is about to end, and classes aren’t as full of content as they used to be, but exactly how long is it until classes are really over? Asking myself I decide to check the calendar.
Today is Friday… November 2; last day of classes is the 13, which means I’m less than two weeks away from enjoying winter vacations. This is so awesome!
The idea of winter and its cold weather, however, reminds me a lot of a certain person. I remember she used to love cold atmospheres, while I preferred warmer ones. We did clash in that part but in the end it was nothing important. Am I… thinking of her this early in the morning? Have to get ready for school, and this is distracting me way too much.
[…]
Wonder if Carter managed to find Lucy today. As always the bus is late, so I look around trying to find someone to talk with. Oh, Lucy is there, but where is Carter? Thought he really wanted to see her.
-“Hi there Lucy”
No response. Wow, she must be really mad at me. Even if she’s not willing to talk to me, I better apologize for last week.
-“Umm… Lucy I’m really sorry about what I said last Friday. I was just trying to joke a bit about random stuff, and found your ribbon to be quite outstanding. In fact, I really think it looks pretty on you so…”
-“Stay away from her you idiot! She’s taken!”
Where did that come from?
-“Who are you talking to Yashy?”
She looks to her left and notices me standing with what I believe was a pretty stupid face.
-“You’re the jerkface who made fun of my ribbon! So you came back for some more?”
Oh no way. She’s coming over here and looks like she wants to punch me again.
-“I said I’m sorry! Please don’t hit me!”
-“Oh well I’m all ears then.”
Huh? But I apologized already…
-“I just did, didn’t you hear me? I was talking quite loudly.”
-“My left ear is deaf, so no I didn’t hear anything you said. How long were you standing there?”
-“Actually I was there for a few seconds before you turned… anyways, I’m sorry I said that about your ribbon. Never saw someone wearing a ribbon like that before so… I kind of found it interesting and decided to joke a bit on it, didn’t really mean anything, in fact, I think it looks pretty good on…”
-“I told you to leave her alone!”
Comment ID #26866
It’s that voice again, where is it coming from? Lucy then yells at the ground.
-“Yashy! It’s mean to interrupt people like that!”
Below? I turn me head downwards and notice a small green creature growling at me. Its appearance closely resembles a Yoshi.
-“But mommy! He’s trying to hit on you!”
-“No, he’s just apologizing for his bad behavior. Now shut up and let me take care of things”
Lucy faces me again and continues talking.
-“Alright, I’ll let you live this time, now go away”
I’m still not done here, besides the bus isn’t even here so I can’t leave even if I wanted to. I still have to ask her about Carter.
-“Wait, somebody was looking for you”
-“Oh yeah? Who was it?
-“Some guy I met a few days ago, his name was Carter”
-“Carter… Yes he was here long before you arrived, like always he was trying to stalk me”
-“Oh damn! I’m sorry about that as well, I told him how to find you, didn’t know he was trying to stalk you.”
-“Didn’t you see his face!? Normally someone doesn’t trust someone as creepy-looking as him”
-“Well, he seemed like he really loved you so…”
-“So what!? You’re out of your mind, jerk!”
-“Okay, okay, it won’t happen again!”
-“You better make sure you don’t if you know what’s good for you”
She looks very mean but… it’s probably because I’ve been annoying the whole time I’ve known her. I bet she’s not that intense all the time, and looks like she would be a fun friend to have around.
-“Say, can I have your email?”
-“What do you want it for? I got enough of you already”
-“No, it’s not like that. I know things started the wrong way but…”
I get interrupted once again by that ‘Yashy’.
-“Just stop trying, she already said no!”
That Yashy is really starting to get on my nerves, but it’s got nothing. What’s she going to do, lick me? I respond as calmly as possible.
-“Please Yashy, I would appreciate it if you really let me finish. I’m not interested in her that way, just looking to make some friends”
-“Liar! I know you want her, you can’t hide it”
I sigh, there’s just no way to reason with this thing. So I just direct myself at Lucy again.
-“So… want to be friends?”
She turns her head, as if she was thinking. I notice her blushing slightly.
-“Something wrong?”
-“None of your business! Sure I’ll be your friend, but remember I’m just doing you a favor”
-“Uhh… fine I guess, my name is Hebs by the way”
-“My name is Lucy”
I was going to tell her I already knew, but on second thought, I’ll just leave things as they are. Besides, the school bus draws near, so I better talk to her once the heat dies down.
We traded contact info, waved goodbye and I hopped on the bus.
Looks like I’m on the right track. Already made two friends in the same week. But I’m curious now… wonder why she was blushing when I asked her to be friends…

This one was very dialog-heavy, It’s not as long as chapter 2, but I think this is good for now.
Had lots of trouble trying to portray Lucy’s personality.
Comment ID #26872
Lucy’s personality seems to always be hit or miss with people. Like contrary to popular belief, she wouldn’t actually be verbally attacking a random passerby, she’s not Helga Pataki. She’d actually just be very disinterested and rolling her eyes half the time. She wouldn’t really give you the time of day, but not in a “PISS OFF” kind of way. Just in a “oh alright whatever” kind of way, you know?
The bit about her hitting him sounds reasonable enough if he made fun of her, but she wouldn’t be all “GRR BACK FOR MORE???!!?!”, she’d just be like “Oh aren’t you that idiot who made fun of me? No hard feelings, I suppose”
I think the only time Lucy was truly all LEAVE ME ALONE I AM A ROCK OF ANGER was when she was totally loli and only against Michael. She’s mellowed out a bit more since then, into a disinterested bored little girl. Who would occasionally get annoyed if nagged/hit on enough.

Suddenly thought I would give writing a try. So here it is. =P
This fanfic will contain strong language at times, and probably (not planning to) sexual themes, so read at your own discretion.
Also note that no BCB characters appear… at least during the duration of the first chapter, so keep that in mind.
I’m also going to tag my posts so that they’re easier to find. Format is:
[Chapter #]
This fanfic is centered around myself in a BCB-like universe. Since in BCB the current year is 2007, I’m presenting myself not as I am now, but as I was at the time.
First chapter starts next post.
