Hello freinds i herby invite you to Rugworthy manner for a party where anything could happen (a murder a day starting tommorow) at this party you will be taking the role of one of the guest or staff of the manner, This mystery shall evole each day based on interations between the guest and staff (post using charecter names first come first serve), you may just be the murder and not know it, even i dont know who the murder is and im the narrater slash host of this event. The sprawlling Rugworthy manner contaions three floors with living quarters n the top floor, most enertainment faculties, plus kitchen on the ground floor, and mostly supplies in the basement. there are three exits to my estate the front door leading to the driveway, the side out from the kitchen into the garden, and the balcony door from my room (though no one would exit there of course) Also i shoulkd warn you that the gates will be locked for the duration of your stay,, so im afraid escape is quite impossible.

and now the cats er cast of charecters (yes blatant parodies and rips)

Dr Mike Nicopolis: well know man about town and head of the universities medical studies program, a man of great taste but short temper. Know to have studied in india for a time before returning to london to take his university post. Very popular with the ladies. Wears a drab gray suit and bowler hat

Paulo Martinez: son of the Spanish embasador to England and well know ladies man. Tends to cause problems with the law mostly minor scale tiffs which are swept under the rug by his parents. Tends to dress in overly expensive military garb

Lady Luciferd Vandergraft: Banished from the medical program for unethical practices (having a vagina) Luciferd is know for her temper and defensive nature. well off but not too well off to care for the common man, holds nobels in distain. Wears a fine dress with slacks underneith

David Van Pelt: The opium barron of london, Originaly a dock worker who used his connection with Paulo to lead an expedition to the orient only to betray him and take the profits for himself and become a rich man. Opium addled and slightly unpredictable. Wears a mock up of a chinese nobles outfit created by a local tailor complete with cooli hat

Daisy Mctavish: A dock trollop, know to be popular among sailors and nobles alike. Tend to think of herself quite highly and look down on those in posistions on servitude. know most men at the party quite well. Wears and outfit reminicent of a riverboat gambler (missispi background as weel as scotish)

Tess Falin: Trollop mistress (pimp) and Daisys employer. attends all the high class parties amn know most of the socailities in town. Freindly and who could possibly hate her. A know buissness woman who is shrewd but fair (illigal activieties) Wears a three piece suit (cleavage revealing)

Abraham Ford Clinton: my maners chef and son of a disgraced french nobleman. Quite an angry fellow though keeps it inside (not healthy) Keeps silent around the ladies, not much known. wears a simple apron over bare chest and burlap pants (so silly he is)

Sue Brynt: The maid simple as that, she stays in the background i didnt hire her for her brain bwahaha, not much to her or is there. wears a french maid uniform

Tackleford Mcain: genius pianist and social activst, hopeless addicted to opium and speaking his mind, A thinker who has angered many in the upper eschelons of london town. Through all his fault still popular when he’s silent. Wear simple cloths and dark glasses despite his staure (a poor past)

Blurfeld Stalinof: A russian count of diminutive stature and low self worth, oddly clingy when around the next guest. Bold in his fashion and words. Wears a top hat, monocle and little else.

Yashi St Jerome: Countess of Perth or so she claims, her relationship with Blurfeld is a mystery, Seems to have a conservative attitude calling al she meets whore, Known for her cane and wit. A opera gown accerised with hickory can at all times

Augustus Clark: an American journalist on Loan from his paper to season himself in the social scene of europe. Blunt and unforgiving, not too popular in the least but he knows much about the guests in attendance. Wear a newsboys hat and a duster jacket like the cowboys wear

Kizuna Toyoda: Japanese diplomat, she has stayed at the manner for a month now, seems to sleep most of the time. wears a simple bathrobe at all time

Carter: the gardener, he loves people, specificly a certain person. Wears overalls

Rachel Lestat: The french ambassador assistant, Flirty but with an innocenice, keenly inteigent but with a grudge against Tess for some reason, Wears a deligtful sundress

Lilly and Chirpinton: Staff mostly seen shuffling underfoot (no specific role, mostly used to move things about) but the too may be victims (played by me) wear simple bow ties (both)

and the last guest
Lady Sandra of the Quick Waves: French ambassador and lovliest in the land, Many a suitor is lined up for a chance to meet her, and many and angry lass as well. Knows most in attendance and remains silent though slightly aggitaed around the good doctor.

Now then the guest are arrive feel free to mingle in charecter (first comes first serves) and remember someone may die tommorow….

so lets the party begin i welcome you to Rugworty manner…

(anyone not assigned to a charecter may gasp as a crowd in attendace) just use crowd or guest as a name

I wouldn’t mind being Abraham Ford Clinton or Blurfield Stalinof.

Do we get any general instructions on how we play/behave beyond the intro and bios?

Rugworthy. You misspelt my name. Just as with the last five letters and two invitations.

(use the intros as guidlines and build from there while mingling with the other players in charecter. The story will evolve as relationships are revealed as much as its a mystery for you, it is for me. natural growth using the itros as a startign point. and non charecter thoughts in quote) welcome ( which every charecter you chose)

(Time to flip a coin!

Well, I got heads, so Abraham it is.)

Abraham walks into the room muttering to himself. After spotting the Lady and Mr. McCain in the living quarters, he whips back to the kitchen through the door he has entered from.

“Monsieur,” he speaks to the manor’s owner through intercom. “Le guests have arrived. Shall I begin wit’ the appetizers?”

(I’ll do player comments in parenthesis, by the way, so I can use quotes for dialogue. Hope that’s ok.)

Abraham Ford Clinton May 25, 2010, 9:31 PM EST.

Comment ID #27057

(Its okay, see you guys in six hours thenn work so yyeah get set up and this will really pick up in the moorow) appetizers on the table near Mist clark there and make it snappy, i shall reitre now

Rugworthy Q. Triplesexy May 25, 2010, 9:34 PM EST.

I want to know if we’re meant to play this in first person dialogue or the third person. I think it’d be better to settle on one. And given Rugworthy’s style, I think we should stick with first.

Incidentally, may I suggest we all use this same moniker for, well, out of game talk? More anonymous than parentheses, particularly if you ignore correct spelling and grammar.

outofgame May 25, 2010, 9:35 PM EST.

Comment ID #27061

(you use first peoson for the game itself, your name will denote your chacter as show above,.) (If you want to use an outoggame handle for questions thats fine just let me know who you are in game. Use (……………) for out of game questions while in a role though out of game tags are fine if your not in charecter at the time)

Rugworthy Q. Triplesexy May 25, 2010, 9:40 PM EST.

Well hello there McCain, I am slightly surprised to see you here.

Lady Lucfier May 25, 2010, 9:41 PM EST.

Comment ID #27063

Who would use the outofgame tag and give their name? But otherwise, I agree with you - OK

outofgame May 25, 2010, 9:42 PM EST.

I don’t care what the reasoning is I want to know why the bloody gates are locked. (notices I’m being watched) Good day ladies and Gents you may and by may I mean will refer to me as Dr. Mike Nicopolis, unless you would prefer a duel.

Dr. Mike Nicopolis May 25, 2010, 9:42 PM EST.

Comment ID #27066

@ Her Ladyship:
Yes, well…

Tackleford McCain May 25, 2010, 9:43 PM EST.

Comment ID #27068

(Aww, I write so much better in third-person narrative. Also, I believe Rugworthy’s style is called “Playwriting”.)

Alright, monsieur!

*5 minutes later, carrying a tray of various generic fancy appetizers*

Alright, peoples! Le appetizers have fineeshed, we hope it is to your liking.

Abraham Ford Clinton May 25, 2010, 9:45 PM EST.

……….I have question, (I’ve Lady L btw) Are we using what we know about the characters from the comic, as in; Mike’s super hearing or Lucy’s fear of water, or is this new turf?

Abraham Ford Clinton May 25, 2010, 9:58 PM EST.

Comment ID #27077

I think it exists in this game as long as we refer to it. After all, some BCB stuff won’t make sense. Poofy tails? The Lucy(-fer) - Yashy connection? Bur(-feld)’s background? It can be worked in, but not used directly. And Rugworthy should be asleep by now, so no sense asking.
