You must not have seen the ‘red’ in the title. Plus, as far as string theory goes, there isn’t a whole lot to discuss. Essentially, you either believe that all matter is made of trillions of trillions of trillions to the trillionth power of strings that are (insert unknown number here) dimensional and vibrate in (insert other unknown number here) dimensions in an attempt to understand why gravity and magnetism work, you don’t believe that, or you don’t care enough to think about it.

pretty interesting theories, but seriously.
im just hoping for a freaking epic boss battle lucy vs. sandy (you know, nigth, raining, some thuders in the background, and freaking light sabers), meanwhile, mike (in his man muscles, as well the rest of his desproportional body form) had discoveres horrible secrets from sandy, and a dream told him that one of them (lucy, sandy) is pregnant.
meanwhile in the real world, paulo become a father on a church, and he can’t score girls because of his religion, and david become the president of the USA, why david?, well because YES HE CAN!.

KIZUNA COME’S BACK FROM HER HOME PLANET, and brings an entire army! to destroy the entire webcomic, because she was kicked out of it

I’ve been looking back through and I’ve taken extreme care to see whenever Amaya and Sue were together. I saw that they were TOGETHER at the fireworks during the chapter when Daisy and Mike went out.

If Daisy loses her memory, either she forgets all the good memories of her friends or she forgets that her friends are dead and has to relive the loss over and over. :O

Hell is a long perilous way mate XD. Anyhow, we’ve only seen a small bit of Larke, so it’s early to say owt on his pairing.

wow this is just grate, I have read all the replyes and there are a lot of theories so i will post mines xD

1st, Mike x Lucy dont will happen, because the name of the comic says the relationship in a bittersweet and, knowing lucy, if they become a couple they will become all sweet. so if we will see Mike x Lucy will be the end of the comic, or a new begging of the comic with a different name.

2nd Lucy x Paulo, i really think that that dont will happen, they are just good friends and, after all, it seams that lucy is cling in paulo like she was with mike, just trying something different because she dont want to lost him as she lost mike.

3rd Lucy and Mike relationship isnt damage at all,I say that because after hiting him, in the last history, mike dont react in a bad form, they still have the same fellings for eachother, Mike still love she and everything xD it’s just that they fell a little weird after everything that resent happen

4° paulo x tess cant be totally true because Tess isnt a Taeshi character, so tess can disaper in any moment, just as kizuna did.

5° mike x sandy, is totally real, as Taeshi said before, they are a couple officaly, but i think that mike isnt really in love with sandy, he is in love with sandy memorys, and thats why he is blind and do see lucy and his friends in the same way
also i think that the one that will help that lucy x mike become true will be sandy, she will see the real love that mike fell for lucy and she will tell him to be happy with lucy xD

6° lucy x carter FOREVER yea its true carter is the only character that really loves lucy

@everybody who want to see someone die, kill someone really important, and with that i mean, kill yashi, what will become of lucy without yashi?, i think if yashi die lucy will be very sad, mike will undestand that lucy dont only need him but love him, and maybe they become a couple xD

We all know Tess and Paulo won’t end up together ‘cause Tess is a fancharacter, and Taeshi probably had things worked out long ago that don’t include her.

C’mon!, in the entire comic, mike and lucy are the primary characters, even thoug they had they diferences, they still feel something for each other, that´s why mike wasn’t all happy telling no to lucy i guess (that or the fact that he hurt his bestfriend’s feelings).
either way, sandy isn’t there, she haven’t appeared in the comic a loong time ago, in fact, she olny apeared in flashbacks, and a photo.
like someonesaid here (i don’t remember who) sandy isn’t nothing but a obstacle, mike is in love with the sandy of his childhood, but the present sandy could be diferen’t. she could have changed.

Ok, so Kiz leaves and now everyone is convinced that a Native Taeshi character and a visiting character have no chance together?

Paulo X Tess is still a possibility, and I haven’t given up hope that Paulo has changed for the better, even with his latest reckless decision.

Daisy X Abbey is a relationship I really like. It seems perfect, but it has enough of a flaw in it to keep it from being that perfect fairytale ending. There is serious drama in there.

Point 5 is kind of what I’ve been seeing here too. Despite every attempt Mike has made to see Sandy again, he has failed. Sandy drops by his house, and he’s out looking for her. He plans a trip to meet her, and she’s busy. It seems that every time there is a chance for the two of them to meet up again, it gets ruined. Thus, Mike truly is living in his memories when it comes to his love for Sandy.

To be honest, I’m beginning to think that Sandy may already be coming to the conclusion that she and Mike are no longer the same people they were before. I suspect Sandy may already have moved on, but is stringing Mike along because she doesn’t have the heart to tell him the truth.

There is a variety of opinions floating around in this forum regarding Mike (more-so than any other male character it seems), but since Lucy and Sandy seem to be the big ones…

Sandy X Mike:

Sandy and Mike look like a nice pairing, and it’s reasonable to support it. It promises a fairy tale like happily ever after ending for both of them. Taeshi even seems hell bent on making sure it’s clear that Sandy and Mike ARE a couple, even though she tends to add little comments or emoticons that suggests there’s more to it.

On the other side of the argument however… Yes, to be fair, as far as BACK STORY goes, Mike and Sandy were a couple. But back story is really all we got, Sandy wasn’t there at the start of BCB, at least not that I’m aware of. Or is there another strip out there that predates all of these and shows Sandy and Mike in more than a flash back? To put it simply, those who support MikeXSandy are standing on as shaky ground as those who deny it.

Lucy X Mike:

Again, this is perfectly reasonable. We get to see how they met, how they bonded, and how they coped with life as they grew. There are plenty of hints in the comics that suggest deeper feelings, and in later comics Lucy admits her love for him, and he admits he USED to love her. The question here is whether or not Mike is telling the truth when he says things changed. (Rereading confrontation and comparing it to the vacation arc leaves me scratching my head, can anyone point out the actual turning point where Mike decided he didn’t like Lucy?)

Again, on the other side… It has been made pretty clear that Mike does not feel love for Lucy. Whether that means he hates her, dislikes her, simply tolerates her, or still likes her remains unclear. What IS made clear is that at this point, he made his decision to reject Lucy. There is no reason to believe that will change. Once again, those who support MikeXLucy are on shaky ground.

Fan character or not: PauloxTess forever!

And here’s a thought: Mike would make a more compelling villain than every other character we’ve met in the entire series. I see the cold look he gets in his eye sometimes, and I wonder what he could become if pushed just a little further. He’s already fast as Hell and could beat the living crap out of every character except, I think, Paulo.

I can always root for an expertly executed monster.

That’s so completely awesome I have no words for it. I thought Paulo might have a strength advantage? I guess not. xD

Never thought of that, really, and I guess even if he did have a height and weight advantage, it wouldn’t be enough of one to tip the fight in his favor. Hm.

There may be a lot of grunting and twitching in the next few comics anyway if Paulo gets his way.

You know, I’ve wondered for awhile why Mike, Paulo and David don’t play sports. I also think Paulo got to make out with all those girls because they settled on him after Mike rejected them. BAMF!

Plausible theory. It’ll crush his little soul if it was true, just like Barney Stinson when he found out his first time was a set up…

I think the comic is setting up for the possibility of MikexLucy again, but it has to get over the PauloxLucy crest first and show exactly why they can’t work out. I await the return of the Blue Scarf, the rightful rally point for the cult of MikexLucy!

What was funny is that I mentioned Barney Stinson before the update came out, and when I checked it a little while ago, I realised Paulo is behaving just like him! Awesome!

It actually makes me laugh when people take into account the title of the comic and try to predict the ending around it. If I remember correctly, Taeshi didn’t even come up with the title “Bittersweet Candy Bowl”. Someone else did. And thank goodness, because it used to be called “Cat Comic”, if my memory serves me right…

Anyways, I’m not hiding it. I’m a MikexSandy fan.

I might as well be a MikexSandy fan. It’s not like either that or MikexLucy’s going to happen anytime soon, and Hell if I know what’s going to happen to Paulo. But if you can’t trust a relationship built on spite, what can you trust?
