Who reads BCB?

*Inside the the dark labyrinth that is the basement of the Library of Congress, a specter noiselessly flits through the bookshelves. It does not wander aimlessly, but moves gracefully with an immediate sense of purpose. But there is no one around to marvel at this shadow’s fluid movements, and that is how the Ninja likes it. He smiles one of those mysterious Ninja smiles that one rarely sees as he draws close to his objective: a book of introductions.*
Greetings one and all! I was annoyed that nobody was posting here, even though there are obviously so many new readers, until I noticed that I HADN’T POSTED HERE!!!
I am either an ageless Ninja who enjoys relating his amazing adventures to others through the over-use of asterisks OR I am a high school junior with a slightly over-sized ego and a bad sense of humor. I refuse to tell you which one is true (and the could both be false; I’m not above that).
I am of the gender which you should be able to guess by now if you have been paying attention to the pronouns.
I came here after seeing an ad for this comic on Goblins (funny because I’ve only ever played D&D twice in my entire life)
BTW we need to find a way to direct more first-time readers to this forum, any ideas?

Hello. I didn’t see this before.
20 and Male. Like everyone else…
@*Ninja, your writing kind of reminds me of the late Robert Jordan. Just throwing it out there.

22, Male, and have spent the last 2 days reading the archives whilst jumping to other tabs whenever people look over my shoulder. I don’t normally care, but this comic is something of a guilty pleasure…
I honestly don’t know why. I openly admit that Azumanga Dioh is one of my all time favourite Anime’s, and that I’m a Furry, so it confuses me. Oh well…

29 and Male. got you beat on OLD DavCube.
Maverik, bravo, AD is freakin awesome.

@Erebus: Robert who? I’ve never heard of this guy. It’s not like he didn’t really die and is just laying low using a cheap ninja name to hide his identity! Serious!
Comment ID #5526
Oh, I know. He’s really dead. Fatal blood disease. Tragic.
He was the author of The Wheel of Time, a fantasy series which so far spans 12 books with a page count of at least 750 per book.
Comment ID #5532
You say “so far” - did someone take over the writing after he died?
Comment ID #5545
Brandon Sanderson, an author who Robert Jordan had taken as a protegee, is finishing it up.
See, Mr. Jordan was in the process of writing the 12th and final book when he died. Fortunately, he left a huge amount of notes on how he wanted the book to go, the largest chunk being the ending. Unfortunately, Sanderson said that there is no way it could be finished in one book. He needed three. Which is funny, as the Wheel of Time started out intending to be a trilogy. Then a saga of 5. 7. 10. 12. Now it’s destined for 14.
Comment ID #5547
Wow! That’s like Tolkien and his series explaining Middle Earth!
Comment ID #5559
At least Tolkien named his world. Jordan didn’t. It is just known as Randland by everyone, named after the main character Rand al’Thor
Comment ID #5582
*The Ninja, after scouring the globe and tracking down everyone who could possibly have been Robert Jordan in disguise and confirming for himself that the author was dead, returns and posts a much less silly reply to Erebus.*
Thank you for the compliment, I just looked at Wikipedia(not 100% accurate, but close enough) and it seems that his Wheel of Time Series is pretty Epic. I’ll have to start reading it sometime.

You really should. And if you enjoy it, read the Mistborn Trilogy by Brandon Sanderson, A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin, and The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. Read it in the opposite order I said it in though.

19 and male (thought I would keep up the trend) and yes to anyone who has not read the Wheel of Time series, should pick it up and start reading it!

Wow, I thought half of the people who commented were girls. x_x
Comment ID #18537
:< I had better not be included in that number.
Comment ID #18538
Well girls may comment on the comics, but barely any brave to venture into the forums.
On the plus side I think it means you get bonus points with the few other girls here cause being a girl is like some sort of super secret club or something here.

17, male…
Comment ID #18560
Lol I feel special ^^
Yeah, I think most of the girls just comment on the comic and then go to Facebook…well, that’s what I do most of the time.

Hey, boys, soon there’ll be enough of us to overthrow you. ^_^

16, male.
I got here from an ad in Broken Plot Device. The banner was cute so I decided to click it. Lo and behold, I’m now a fan.
Haven’t felt this excited about an update since the day I found Better Days back in 2008 @_@

Does it feel weird that I spent like 20 cents to “acquire” you? It probably should (advertising economics are so weird..)
Comment ID #18872
I’d comment on that but then Jeff would make a joke about my mom and then I’d cry.
Comment ID #18882
….are you calling us whores?
Comment ID #18889
Yes. A million times yes. In fact, I’m pretty sure I’ve read him post somewhere: “You are whores. You are all whores, each and every one of you.”
Comment ID #18896
WELL!
Now, I know I’m no looker, but I’d like to think I’m worth a bit more than 20 cents!

Don’t you get fresh with me, mister!
Also, if the poll is still anything to go by, there are 88 males to 7 females……still a totally sausage fest.
Comment ID #18908
As I said, it’s not what you would expect from a comic about high-school drama, then again it could just be the forum that the girls avoid due to some strange conversations.
Comment ID #18909
Please, Quack. There is nothing fresh about me. ;D
Comment ID #18911
Keep it up, mac, an’ I’ll give ya a wallopin’!

I am a 23 year-old male from Canada. Though it has not been very long that I started reading BCB, I have absolutely fallen in love with this webcomic, one of my top favourites out of 20 or 30 other webcomics I read daily. I guess what I love so much about this webcomic is that all of the characters actually feel like they could be real people, I can even relate to some of their experiences.
