Whether you played in the first one or not, you are more than welcome to pick one of these characters.
Monseigneur Michelle Sandeur - A French painter, and widely known for his expressionist works and eccentric behaviour. Has a small moustache, and smokes a pipe. Does not have any relation with anyone except the hostess. He mostly lives in a world of his own - though he does notice when he is talked about, and reacts exaggeratedly on praise or slights.
Lucia Torressi - A young Italian woman who seems to dislike mr. Sandeur even though they have never met. Her wealth comes from her late father. Blunt and candid, she speaks her mind but hides her feelings. Her relationship with mr. Stark is also rather strained.
Lord Abraham Hamilton - He is corteous to anyone who are wealthy and act it, but tends to look down on everyone else (like the servants). A British knight and old money, he is the richest and wealthiest of the guests. Also dislikes mr. Stark quite a lot. Smokes a pipe and wears a tux.
Lady Diane Hamilton - The wife of Abraham, and a woman who enjoys life to its fullest. She is not the most socially intelligent among them, but that does not stop her from being happy. Everyone, even those who wrong her, are treated equally nicely. She sometimes wallops her husband, however.
Paul Stark, Duke of Burgundy - A German Duke, who changed his name to “fit in”. In spite of his high status, he prefers instead to live down-to-earth and without the pretentiousness of the stiff upper lip. He is very rich, however, which infuriates Mr. Hamilton. Has a history with all the women.
Davido Bavieca - A higher-class Spanish tomboy who wears monocles on both eyes for fun. He recently came into possession of large quantities of cash for reasons unknown. Quite reckless and impulsive, but never actually irresponsible - though he constantly steps the line.
Susanne Siegler - The hostess’ sister, and very highly educated. Her family’s money and her own intelligence enabled her to achieve no less than six doctorates in different fields, and she never hesitates to brag about her accomplishments. She, like her sister, is Indian by birth.
Theresa Kenning - Wealthy, but gives a lot of money to charity. She is one of the few rich people who genuinely care for those less fortunate. Her home is in Denmark, and though she clashes with many she only holds grudges against the painter (again, for no known reason) and the captain.
Amanda Stilte, Countess of Rotterdam - The quiet rich person. Nobody knows much about her, or see much of her, but she stays in the background with a faint, knowing smile on her lips. Men have a habit of falling in love with this silent Dutch woman. She is very young, but highly mature for her age.
Zacharias Thompson - An American, whose high status and wealth is due to a lot of hard work in the music recording industry. Both Torressi and the hostess are indebted to him, but others are eyeing him suspiciously. He only seems to notice his music, and the grand piano.
Maria Olina - Young and idealistic, and despite her wealth she is a communist. This Argentinian is often viewed with mutual suspicion by other guests. She has great respect for people like Lady Hamilton, Count Stark and madam Kenning (who have the “right idea&rdquo
. She does not hate the others, however.
Sir Plato l’Aristotle - A Greek man who is just as adventurous and well-travelled as the hostess. He is a flamboyant actor, though his attentions are now focused on the men. Yes, he is the resident homosexual rich person. The others know of him, but only the hostess knows him well.
CREW:
Roger Rahab - The captain of the ship. A rough, tough sailor who bullies everyone else around. He has a harsh outlook on life, and an even harsher language. Not a bad person, but his experiences in the wars have given him a rock-hard attitude to everything. He also has an accentuated limp.
Rachelle Mabelle - A waitress. She does her work exquisitely and responsibly. Learned in the ways of the world, she doesn’t even blink at the most gruesome event. Life has also taught her that being angry with your enemies does not harm them. Her enemies are seemingly few, though - only T. Kenning.
Alexander Pjotr Makretzy - The incredibly blunt cook. Logical to a fault, he appears to have no emotions - except possibly annoyance. But he is, after all, a cooking artist. His meals are exquisite, and his desserts fiendishly good. He was chosen as a cook due to his relation with Sandrine’s sister.
August McIntyre - An Irishman who hates Oliver Cromwell. He is a waiter, and plays his role extremely well - limp, stiff upper lip, and all. We know little about him; he is a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma. He has amazing technical insight, and also acts as the boat mechanic.
Yashy Yamabushi - The cleaning woman, who is more or less constantly mad about something. She works diligently, but makes spiteful comments about everything. No one knows why she is so angry. Her colleagues are treated nicely, however. Her nationality is, of course, Japanese.
And, your hostess for the trip:
Sandrine Siegler - Has a charming speech impediment. Her artistic endeavours have aquainted her with painters, musicians, sculptors, writers and poets from all over the world. She met most of the guests on her travels, as is the case with the crew. Her presence is noticed, but not much more…

We are still awaiting guests; they should all be here in a few hours. In the meantime, do enjoy yourself with the many available ashtivities! We have a golf course, a common room, a swimming pool and, in the middle of that, a pool table.

(…Nah, First-person works too.)
*walks in, and surveys the scene*
Ah, hello. Does anyone have a plan of this ship? It would be helpful to know the location of my room.

Any preference for the supper tonight Ma’am?

Ah this Voyage appears to already be an intresting one.
The golf course sounds more then inviting I may as well spend some time there.

*The captain comes on deck to address the passengers* Welcome to the cruise, all of you. I’d like to get one thing clear. NO FUNNY BUSINESS. I want nobody at the bow pulling a “Titanic”. I want nobody sneaking into others cabins to pull jokes. And most of All, NOBODY IS TO PLAY ON THE LIFEBOATS. I am the only one to approach the lifeboats. If I catch anyone on the lifeboats, I will have you confined to your cabins. Enjoy the cruise.
Comment ID #32617
Ah, mr. Hamilton! How delightful to see you, too.
Alexander, I think we will have a… simple… meal this evening. Only three courses. You know what I want, I presume?
And, my dear Duke, the cabin labelled “4” is yours. It is just downstairs.
Comment ID #32618
Where might the captain be? I need to find a layout plan.
(Hopefully someone will do earlier what took Ved a while to do in the last one)

“yes captain my Captian, im going to call you Cappy from now on alright”

Roger, that is no way to welshome our esteemed guests! *giggles* Now go bash to your post; I am glad to have you on board.
Mr. Thompson, your cabin is number 11. There is a grand piano in there, just for you.
Comment ID #32622
Why, thank you, Miss Siegler. An honor to meet you.
Comment ID #32623
*The captain walks up to Mr.Stark* I heard you were asking for me? If you are looking for me, I can usually be found in the control room of the ship, or at the Captain’s table during dinner.
Comment ID #32624
(This’ll take some getting used to!)
Comment ID #32625
*Turns for a moment to Sandrine* I just wish to make myself clear Ms. Siegler. You know how things can get out of hand if there is much tomfoolery.
Comment ID #32626
“im gonna sleep on the deck under the stars it’s too nice out here to spend my days in a stuffy cabin, what good is money when yu cant spend it doing what you love”
Goes and lies down in his deck chair
“no cabin for me”
Comment ID #32627
But, my dear Duke, surely you must mean it is a pleasure to meet me again. *giggles for the second time*
Comment ID #32628
Ah, yes. I was wondering if you might have a layout plan of the ship. I tend to get lost easily.
(My mind can’t keep a straight layout image without being all twisted-up like another dimension! ^_^)

(Zachary: I did not ignore you! Your cabin is number 11. ^_^)
Comment ID #32632
(hahaha yeah)
Comment ID #32633
Mr Stark, I do believe there is a layout somewhere, though I cannot recall where. The damned cleaning women always moves things around. It may take a while to find the damned schematics.

Ms. Siegler, just please try not to allow them too much freedom. This tub has a few dangerous nooks and crannies a fool could get hurt or even killed in. Let’s not let that happen, I’ve seen enough injury already to last me five lifetimes!

The quaint little orange tabby just sits back on one of the many Lounge-chairs. An umbrella for shade above her, a book in her lap, and a cup of tea at her side. Every few moments taking a sip or flipping a page looking quite peaceful in a rather mundane looking light dress, her signature ribbon half undone since the purpose of this place is to relax.

“Welshome, one and all, to this brand new luxury cruise ship. Please enjoy your stay, and do explore our wide range of ashtivities. Do not be afraid of conversing with your fellow visitors! This is madam Sandrine Siegler, your hostess for this trip to Acapulsho, wishing you all a nice time this week.”
Welcome to the next installment in the (just beginning) series of BCB-themed murder mystery games. We who participated in the first one, “The Murders of Rugworthy Manor”, had such a great time that we thought we’d try another - so therefore we are now on a cruise ship, headed towards Acapulco with a crew of 5 and a guest list boasting 12 of the most fabulously wealthy and high-class persons in the world. (We rather do like imagining we have power, don’t we. ^_^)
A few guidelines:
1. Always use your character’s name when posting.
2. Separate between what you say and what your character says.
3. Hints provided by me are definite canon. Others might well be included, but this is not certain.
Some additional info on the cruise ship:
- There is no possible contact with the outside world.
- There is no helicopter on board. People could get the wrong idea, and start cutting each other’s heads off at high speed.
- There are two lifeboats, but the crew will not release them.
- There are no explosives on board (C4, nitro, so on).
- The ship is not too large, but only half of it is regularly in use.
- There is only one rule: No shipping. *slapped*
The characters will be provided in the following reply. Note: If you want to join, but don’t want to take the place of any available character, you can still post as “Crewman”/”Guest”/something like that.
