@Gabriel Kaxbe Thanks!
@Jacob83 Actually, I’m still 18 and in college :D. I think you misunderstood, I’ve KNOWN her for almost 6 years, I’ve been her boyfriend for almost ONE year now. But hey, in a few years, you never know…

I’ve had many many relationships, worst thing was when I had a girlfriend at college who got pregnant with someone else’s baby, somewhere after then I came out as being gay and the worst thing that happened during dating men was this guy I was dating ran off with my supposedly straight friend. (that killed our friendship)

I’ve decided to stay single for a while now as I don’t enjoy the dating game.

No one knows what might happen mate. There’s only two certain things in life: death and taxes…

Pronkat April 16, 2010, 7:14 PM EST.

Comment ID #4864

Now that my friend is deffinetly true as:
Death = Certain and Taxes = Ceratin
And now the world becomes a little more more depressed and dies a little inside ;__;

I think we’ve started getting a little off topic here have’nt we now.

@Jacob83 Not really, wanna grab a cup of internet coffee?

It’s true though, I’ve got loads of time left to fail at relationships. :P

Just got the “I like you as a friend” from girl I like at work after I asked her out. I’m only 23, but it’s a nerdy 23, and if life has taught me one thing it’s that the life of a nerd is one of unsurpassed technical skill and insurmountable celibacy.

@TheNoun Don’t give up just because you got the “I like you as a friend” line. Be her friend! You’ll never know what might happen.

As the song goes, this boy knows one IS the loneliest number. However, that’s been self imposed. Full time college student, part time worker at a pizza joint, living at home in a single parent household, …funny, I don’t see any room for a girlfriend in that statement. I want to have a relationship, and have a family one day, but it’s not like I have that much money right now anyway, let alone enough to support me and a gf. Once I graduate in a few months, and get out on my own, I hope I’ll find that someone.

That, and I’ve seen my brother, who has had a lot of troubles with love the past year or two. One ‘can’t maintain a long distance relationship,’ one very awkward break up, and one ‘if you want to go on a date, I’ll say no, but as friends I’ll say yes.’ Just like my friend who is at 217 job rejection letters and counting, not very encouraging, is it?

… and now I’ve depressed everyone *sigh.* Internet White Hot Chocolates, anyone?

Single. One girlfriend over the summer before she left to college. In Mississippi. I stayed in Georgia for my senior year. I’m sure you can guess the rest.

Currently, kind-of-sort-of looking, but not to hopeful. 20, working, living with my folks, dropped out of college, and waiting for the Air Force to give me a date for boot camp. Yup, I’m enlisting. Wonder why I’m not to hopeful…

Wow, I’m almost as angsty as the comic is. Well, at least to where I’ve read so far, 2/18/07

@The Lost Carol mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm white hot chocolate
@Erebus Not all LDRs are doomed. I’ve had one going for almost a year now, have a friend who’s done the same, and I’m pretty sure Taeshi and SuitCase had one going for some time, and just look at them now (hopefully that’s me in 6 years ^.^)

Lariat April 17, 2010, 7:33 AM EST.

Comment ID #4986

@Lariat
Wow already settled in your mind? I only want a girlfriend to see how it goes. Though an LDR would suit me as my parents have an odd rule when it comes to dating. They say that if I get a girlfriend, don’t bring ‘er home unless we are getting married. And my mum added that it’d better not be because I knocked ‘er up, because if so I’d be kicked out and disowned.

Pronkat April 17, 2010, 9:58 AM EST.

Comment ID #5373

@Pronkat It’s already settled in her mind too. Really, we just want to finish school first.

Lariat April 18, 2010, 5:22 AM EST.

Comment ID #5566

Yeah that’s probably the best idea mate. Just finishing High School or are you both going to get a degree also?

Pronkat April 18, 2010, 9:51 PM EST.

Comment ID #5668

@Pronkat We’re both 18 and in college/uni. Sucks to have to wait so long, but it’s worth it.

Ah, groovy! The reason I’m asking is because I’ve a classmate in my year who’s got a kid and doesn’t really want to go to college, and I’m like how the hell’s he going to support his girlfriend and kid then? I say people should wait till at least after uni to settle…

In a quasi ‘living together’ arrangement with my girlfriend of almost a year (Anniversary on the 25th ^_^ ). She’s my first real girlfriend who hasn’t been a long distance relationship or casual fling. I love her to death :)

Not in a relationship, not looking for a girlfriend, not gay, not lesbian, just not interested. I had a girlfriend a few years ago in grade 7 (last year of elementary school because my school district doesn’t have middle school) I was “going out” with a girl, but we didn’t talk after grade 7 (if that says anything about our relationship) and didn’t even hold hands because we were so shy and embaresed (bad spelling!) In grad 11 right now, and I’ve had one or two girls hit on me, but I rejected one (to this day I’m not sure if she was joking from the way she said it, and how she reacted afterwards) and “just stayed friends” with the other.

I’ve never been in any kind of relation. I never was of the type to aproach a woman, and they never aproached me. I sometimes felt bad about that, cause I wondered how would it feel to have a girlfriend. But years of introspection and observation have taught me that this wasn’t a curse, but a blessing. Now I have decided to take the path of singleship, and I willingly try to avoid any thought about relationships, cause the feeling of an unfulfilled desire is many times more painful than the more difficult path.

Me single but I’m in high school and people (seniors) tell me NOT to get a girlfriend guy+girl=DRAMA

jefe April 21, 2010, 4:21 AM EST.

Comment ID #6421

Well, it’s not like that’s going to suddenly and magically change when you get out of high school.

If you’d rather focus on your studies and such, well fine, but if you’re just doing it to avoid drama, you might as well join a monastery.

Then again, what the hell do I know.

ive found that the internet does wonders for an LDS, don’t know what id do without it. On a light note this is a loooong thread.

I wouldn’t say “the internet” in general, as much as having a working instant messenger and camera

@nameless

Wait LDS? as in Long-Distance-Sex?

Pronkat April 21, 2010, 1:39 PM EST.

Comment ID #6581

I’ve never really figured out how long distance sex could work. I mean, the chick would look great, but the guy? It would be like watching a blurry warthog trying scrape something off it’s horn.

Jeff in Aus April 21, 2010, 1:42 PM EST.

Comment ID #6600

Why do people automatically assume that “S” means “sex”? ^_^

ILB April 21, 2010, 2:33 PM EST.

Comment ID #6609

@Jeff in Aus

I’d say it be like Curtis and Alisha out of Misfits. (They spunk off at each other instead of screwing due to her uncontrollable pheromone manipulation…) Then again, cleaning the screens would be a bit of a bother so I don’t know…

Pronkat April 21, 2010, 3:06 PM EST.

Comment ID #6651

@ ILB: Because love is fleeting, but sex is forever. ;D

Jerk April 21, 2010, 5:17 PM EST.

Comment ID #6653

If what I’ve heard about it is true, then “forever” would be both arduous and perilous. ^_^

Oh well. Guess I wouldn’t know.

ILB April 21, 2010, 5:30 PM EST.

Comment ID #6654

Well, not “forever” forever. But, you know… forever. ;p You could be thinking of tantric sex. But that’s okay, it’s not easy not to think of tantric sex once it comes up in conversation. Which it now has.

Booyah!

Jerk April 21, 2010, 5:35 PM EST.

Comment ID #6661

Oh, I don’t know what that is, either. But the word sticks, I’ll grant you that.

(Guess this says clearer than anything else that I’ve been single all my life ^_^)

ILB April 21, 2010, 5:49 PM EST.

Comment ID #6665

I don’t even know anyone who’s tried tantric, but it basically means going at it for hours and hours without climax.

I used to tempt fate by starting a “Never Going to Get Laid Again” Fund every time a girl dumped me. Now, I just look to make as many friends as I can and have a good time with them and their friends. That’s the real way to meet people, in my opinion. I can’t think of a girl I’ve dated who didn’t start as a friend of a friend (or in one case an enemy and a rival…we lasted a year and a half, if you can believe that).

Jerk April 21, 2010, 6:01 PM EST.

Comment ID #6684

Pretty sure if I started that fund when I’m say 18 till I’m 30 I’d be a millionaire and be able to afford a hooker anyway XP

Jacob83 April 21, 2010, 7:31 PM EST.

Comment ID #6690

Yeah, but you want a checked one mate, STDs (or STIs as the PC people call ‘em) are becoming more common now…

Pronkat April 21, 2010, 7:38 PM EST.

Comment ID #6691

We’ll I’d be a millionaire so I could just invest the hell out of reserch for whatever I got from her and get rid of it.
And *ahem* maybe.. a little for a certain someone to make sure no finds out (this means YOU!!! rargh)

Huh… I’ve started planing this out a little too much now havn’t I ._.’

Jacob83 April 21, 2010, 7:45 PM EST.

Comment ID #6697

@Jacob83

Just a wee bit. And with a self-defeating attitude like that, the hooker might even turn you down. They do have some standards.
