Bittersweet Candy Bowl

Names aren’t adjectives, unless we’re talking etymology in a completely literal sense. They describe a subject, and they’re aimed at the subject, certainly, but names in themselves are more often subjects. Like, words meaning “honor” or “son of giants” or “wise”. Or “angel”, and so on.

While that’s entirely true mate, you have to consider names which are adjectives. Taking my name for example, it means extremely cautious in Spanish and the Honest in German. Both are adjectives…

Eh, no. My name’s Alvaro ^^;. I originally thought it a Spanish name but I found out the German meaning while browsing on the net a while back. I can’t put my finger on which site though…

You have Photoshop 7.0? I’d say that’s perfect mate! Just look for the colour codes on the net and copy and paste the ones you like in Photoshop and it should do it automatically. Then you could have many softer shades which would look wonderful on the characters…

I know that, which is why I found it as odd as when you thought Ernst was a word in Spanish. I was looking for someone to clarify it but this was a whileback, before my laptop decided that it doesn’t like windows. So I don’t have the site bookmarked anymore and I don’t know where I found it though, but when I do I’ll link it back.

Colour Codes; If you click on the colour square in Photoshop, you open up the advanced colour options. There when you click on the different sections of the range you’ll see that the boxes change their values. The last box is the colour code. For example #FF0000 is the colour red. You have to be in Photoshop to see what I mean…

No, mate you aren’t downloading ‘em! What I meant is find a site with colour codes and previews, find the one you like and then simply copy and paste it into the advanced colour options in Photoshop. No downloading involved whatsoever.

Naw but next year I’m taking an animation class in my school and all this discussion of it is getting me psyched. Gonna be drawing all the tiiiiiiime and then using the dark arts to turn them into moving pictures.

I’m totally gonna draw SuexAbbey animations if I can.

Hopefully we’ll have the class. Sometimes if barely any students sign up for a class they don’t have it.

If this happens I will be saddened greatly. Oh how I will be saddened.

Hey Lisa you’ve mentioned that in Germany you don’t get an art class and if it annoys you then why not move? You’ve show talent with your art and somewhere to help learn more sounds like something you would enjoy. True moving does suck though so I’m pretty sure you don’t care that much and now I look stupid ;-;

Depends on where she moves to though mate. I have an Art Class which is so bloody shit, half the class come on drugs to stop the boredom. And if tomorrow we don’t start on the project we’ve been preparing for weeks, I’ll strangle my teacher, or light a joint. Either one will do for the double class…

I didn’t do anything in the end. He decided to do Art History for the first time since he started teaching. So I went to see an amazing BBC documentary with the incredibly detailed story behind Picasso’s Guernica. It was just hunting the meanings and history of that painting…

@Jacob naah I don’t think I know them, thought there are alot of Tom’s out here XD - I still think you can’t really teach drawing- I mean you cna giv ehitns and stuff- but you can’t for exampel draw a cat and say, that’s how it’s doen and the others can repeat it the same way- but I gues sit wouldn’t hrut if I check soem tutorials from tiem to time ^^ maybe I can still pick some stuffs up ^^

Woah, completely different! You are really talented mate! And the colouring suits this style better than your BCB ones. Although I’m not one for seeing brows on hair. I mean they are supposed to be under it after all… Oh and the eyes could maybe be a tad smaller. But yeah, your styles are awesome.

@Pronkat: I know what you mean with the eyebrows- but if I do them under the hair it kinda looks strange to me- jus like the eyes

Nice picture. Shading and body shapes are always annoying to do but you can draw them pretty damn well (even without lessons *hit*).
The legs were a little too tall though.

@Jacob: … you know I REALLY can’t draw feet/shoes- so I always cut them off- and the legs turn out to long- cause even if I’d shorten them they’d look to short for me :/
