The three German officers followed by their guard passed by more halls, except now the halls were wide enough for the tanks to drive through. They soon came to a steel door that was equally as wide. 4 more black uniformed guards stood at the door, upon seeing the officers, they rushed to two separate levers and pulled them to a different side. Mechanisms hidden in the walls moved around as the steel door began to open, revealing a dark room that was illuminated by a blue light. As the officers entered in, Adler hesitated. Goring and the other officer turned.
“Something the matter, Rothstein?” Goring asked.
“I-I’m just… reluctant to see what’s in there. I don’t know why but I’m feaful of it.”
Goring nodded.
“Everyone gets that feeling when they are first around it.”
“Around what?” Adler asked, he realized his breathing became heavy.
Without another word, they turned and walked in. Adler took a step, hesitated, then took a deep breath and walked in. The room was large, larger than even the factory. All around Adler, scientists worked, looking at different scopes and marking things down. Then Adler looked and saw that it wasn’t an electric light that was illuminating the room but a blue mass of energy moving around at erratic patterns suspended in air. It was definitely the center of the attention in the room as the scientists worked on their machinery. Adler stared, wide-eyed and speechless at the strange form before him. Goring looked at his expression and sneered.
“W-what is that?” The stunned officer managed to ask.
“That…” He said, looking back at it. “Is something that not even our best scientists here know but it is the last hope of the Third Reich.”
“But… How exactly?” Adler asked, his voice small.
“It is a gateway. A gateway to another time. Strictly speaking only two days from now but we’ve done many tests and now we know how to control it. We can go to any point in history or into the world that has yet to be.” Goring’s voice grew as if he had won a great victory again. “Don’t you see, Adler. This, here, is our way to victory, we can go back to the very beginning of the war and make it possible for us to win or into what has yet to happen, we can go anywhere we like and not only that, we can go appear anywhere in the world as well as when, we can show right in London or Washington in 1939 and seize control of them!”
Adler looked away slowly and looked at Goring, who had a fire in his eyes while a new fire was beginning to burn in Adler’s.
“What is my assignment?” He asked, his voice now steady.
Goring faced him.
“Your assignment is to lead the forces here either into the future or the past, it’s your choice. Do whatever you want but your ultimate goal is this: The preservation of the Third Reich. Don’t leave it behind for it to die in the war and start a new one. Help it win the war and gain control of everything.”
“What are my troops?”
“2 platoons of veteran soldiers that are considered the best in Germany as well as the armoured tank division which has almost reached completion.” The other officer answered.
“How long until it’s completed?” Adler asked.
“2 hours.”
“I want it completed in 1”
“Yes sir.” The officer saluted and left.
“When do I leave?” Adler asked Goring.
“As soon as you like, you are in complete control, the fate of all of Nazi Germany and the master race rests on your shoulders.”
“I will not fail.”
“Good. If any Allied forces discover you, leave immediately with your forces and have the bunker destroyed, we can’t let them get their hands on this.”
Adler nodded and Goring saluted.
“I must go now that you know of your assignment. The Fuhrer, as soon as you knew of your mission, wants me to wish you luck.”
“Before you go, I have one question. Why me? You say I’m a brilliant strategist but there are also more well known officers in the Third Reich.”
“That’s the problem, they’re well known. We don’t know what will happen if their happen to be 2 of the exact same officers in the same place. You are not well known, we believe it’s safer with you to carry this mission out. Good luck, Adler Rothstein.”
“Thank you.” Goring turned and left, leaving Adler to stare at the mass of energy above him. He smiled, victory was at hand and already his plan was forming in his mind.
[Sorry I’m late posting, but it’s here now and now we know (sort of) of what Goring has been referring to since he first appeared in this story.]

Tayvin, you can always just invoke Clark’s Third Law:
“Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.”
It’s true, if you think about it. For example, microwave ovens…in the Middle Ages.
But I do have a couple of questions regarding some potential (but hopefully resolvable) plot holes in the story.
Keep in mind, I’m not doing this out of spite, to get a rise out of you, or anything so petty. Rather, I like your concept, and would like the story to be as solid and cohesive as possible.
1) I already asked you why the T.L.P.F. doesn’t just imprison people instead of killing them. And you gave a pretty reasonable answer: the T.L.P.F. doesn’t take any chances. Alright, fair enough. But then I got to thinking…that reaction is understandable if they were keeping criminals locked up in a conventional cell somewhere on Earth…but this is the T.L.P.F. we’re talking about here. The prison—like headquarters—could exist outside of time itself, only accessible through temporal gateways, which themselves could be designed to be inoperable to any prisoner via biometric scans, DNA analysis, passwords, brainscans, etc. There could be guard robots and automated turrets. Exploding collars for the inmates. They have the flipping technology. I mean, I assume most of the prisoners, being neither quantum physicists nor MacGyver, would have no clue how to jury-rig a time portal (or anything else). So it would be like Mega-Alkatraz. I mean, I assume the Elusionary couldn’t just break in and spirit whoever he wanted away. T.L.P.F. headquarters doesn’t seem too concerned about him just warping in and dropping a nuke in the middle of their base.
And even if the super-temporal prison was a no go, why not just dump the criminals on an uninhabited asteroid near a black hole or something similar that would deter potential rescuers? Even if they somehow managed to get off (which itself would quite a while) all the time spent in such low-gravity conditions would have caused so much muscle atrophy that they wouldn’t be able to set foot on earth again.
2) Related to point one: It seems that killing the person would be counterproductive to keeping the timeline intact. I mean, before the criminal was displaced, he or she would have been contributing to the flow of history as we know it. Even if they weren’t major players in history, Chaos Theory would imply that removing them from existence at all would cause huge alterations. People affect other people who affect other people who affect other people, and so on and so forth.
I’ll also admit that the prison idea would fall prey to this issue, but at least the criminals wouldn’t have to die for a reason like not wanting to go back home. In fact, sending any criminal back to their own time would cause similar problems since it’s highly unlikely they would make all the same choices as if they had never time traveled at all.
And even if we were to ignore Chaos Theory and suppose that the timeline automatically compensated for such “small” alterations, what’s the procedure if the Elusionary was to displace someone truly “important?” Like sending Abraham Lincoln to the future, for example. If Lincoln decided he didn’t want to go back and handle the whole Civil War thing, what are the T.L.P.F. going to do, shoot him and hope the timeline can find a suitable replacement? Try altering his memory and hope it sticks? Replace him with a clone and hope it doesn’t go off and do its own thing? Bring him back to his own time, maroon him, hope the Elusionary doesn’t come back to pick him up again, and hope that he doesn’t do anything different than what he usually would? In this scenario, it seems that the whole “take no chances” policy has to be outright scrapped, because there’s no solution that isn’t a gamble.
3) Related to point #2: How are the T.L.P.F. supposed to reintegrate the BCB cast into the timeline? You said they would be returned, and I assume that would have to be soon lest there be an age discrepancy. But as I see it, each of them are slightly different people now; their new experiences would cause alterations in their usual behavior. They would make different choices than usual, just like any displaced individual. History would be rewritten from that point forward. And not returning them at also screw up the timeline, perhaps even more.
4) Nazi’s are bad. Everyone recognizes this (well, except for Neo-Nazi’s, I guess). Why were they bad? Attempted genocide, for one thing. But then why does the T.L.P.F. get off the hook? You already mentioned that the T.L.P.F. wiped out an entire alien race. Even if they thought it was for a good cause, that’s still mass murder. Hitler thought he was doing the right thing. Are we supposed to see the T.L.P.F as heroes? Accept the apparent double standard? Or does the cast eventually go, “Screw it,” and start a rebellion or something? Even if the T.L.P.F are trying to do the right thing, they aren’t the kind of people I’d ever let be in charge of the timeline.
Like I said, I’m not doing this for kicks. I want to see your story succeed. And I think you can make that happen.

@Rasputin That’s the problem with time traveling bad guys: Elusionary can always wreck the world in ways nobody would hope to fix. The only way to stop him is to find the time where(when) he kidnaps Lincoln, be there 5 minutes before Elusionary arrives and shoot him as he enters, still glowing and disoriented by time travel.
But I suspect that would either cause a paradox (how did they know he’d kidnap Lincoln if he never did that now?) or isn’t allowed within this story’s rules for time travel.
Having two timelines: time alpha (flow of history) and time beta (time inside TLFP HQ and all the time travelers’ biological time, that they obviously share (they can talk to sue in real time while on the mission, that means time beta flows at the same speed for all of them and they don’t jump within it when they travel) is incredibly confusing and contradictory as it is, so the rules of the universe (or the TWDs) don’t allow such a trick.
As for the whole removing fugitives from the timeline not changing anything? I think the bad guys have something to do with that. History is pretty robust in this world, so no chaos theory. The Dealer sent back a nobody. Maybe he doesn’t want history to change if the Cops kill his client either?
The Elusionary didn’t kidnap Lincoln because he has some goal that doesn’t involve “winning” his struggle with the Cops by changing history. We don’t know what he wants, but probably not that.
Also, remember, the Cops are run by a crazy computer. So maybe killing is the default policy that doesn’t have to make sense. Augustus is just soft and disregards policy sometimes.

Alright, I get, I get it, no more magic references. No need to give such a harsh reply. But yeah, *insert dramatic music here*
@Rasputin
It’s a FanFICTION. Emphasis on fiction. Leave the plotholes be and let the story unfold. Even if I can still note a little grammar mistake here and there, it’s going awesome so far, so don’t be over analytical or wanting everything to flow smoothly.

@Fraggart
I am totally, TOTALLY sorry for my earliar reaction. Usually I’m not like that but I was in a very bad mood in the real world for family matters that have nothing to do with this and when I saw your earliar comment I flipped and I’m totally sorry, um… It’s probably not enough but yeah I’m sorry
@Rasputin
You’re right, it is a fanfiction but any plotholes that are found (either by me or another reader) I want to cover as soon as possible that just me and it’s probably going to get me in trouble. But nonetheless, I should cover any plotholes in the story because that’s just the way I am. I’ll start with your earliar questions.
1: Why do all that work to keep them alive and have to take care and make sure they don’t escape when they could just kill them and be done with it? They don’t have to worry about that person again and they focus on other things. It’s jsut easier to kill them if they don’t listen
2: Being in your timeline has a greater effect on most people, the timeline… Ugh, I’m thinking of a way to explain this uh… Oh, think about like it’s fate or destiny or something along those lines. Most people, even after time traveling to a number of places, if they remain in their own Timeline for a prolounged amount of time, they’ll eventually start making the choices they would make if they had even gone traveling. Mike and Lucy would’ve eventually forgotten about it if they had not told the rest of their friends but they did and now things were in danger (even though they didn’t believe them). As for killing a person, most of the criminals are people that aren’t big in their timeline and if killed, it won’t have a great effect on the timeline, rather the timeline fixes itself with such small alterations (you said this before but it’s true). Now, if something happened to a ‘big’ person like Lincoln… then that’s where things get tricky. It, honestly, depends on the situation. But you used the Elusionary as the example and Fizmat (after making my brain implode from his really, REALLY confusing, mind-boggling example) got it bang-on with the Elusionary. None of you guys know what the Elusionary is planning, whether it’s bad or good, none of you know.
3: I kind of answered this in number 2 but one of things the cast is going to do is just act like they if they had never heard of the T.L.P.F. and the Timeline will help with that, but their already has been a change in the timeline and it is damaged but only a little, not enough to cause an anomaly but yeah, it’s slightly damaged.
4: I don’t think I ever mentioned an entire alien race being wiped out by the T.L.P.F. they’ve certainly dealt with aliens and even killed a few but… I don’t think I ever mentioned genocide with them, I could be wrong but I did check just to be sure.
@Nothing2do
What makes think the Elusionary has something against the Dealer? I’m not saying you’re right or wrong but I would like to know why. Also I post everyday somewhere between 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM (This is Pacific Daylight Time not EST)

@ Tayvin: Thank you for taking the time to read my ridiculously long post and give a response. I’ve seen too many writers that’ll just blow up in a person’s face at the slightest criticism. It’s very, very, very good to know that you’re not one of them.
Now, if it’s okay with you, I have a couple of additional questions based on your answers.
1) I can understand the reasoning behind this. It would take a lot of time and resources to do the whole super-dimensional prison thing, and it’s pretty clear that the T.L.P.F wants to be efficient with their work. But, at the same time, it seems a bit harsh. I mean, if we applied the same idea to today’s justice system, we wouldn’t have such a thing as the life sentence, or even prisons in general. It would be execution every time instead. Now, some people might see that as social progress, perhaps as an application of Social Darwinism, but a whole mass of others would take the exact opposite view. Yet social norms change over time, so maybe the T.L.P.F. come from a point in time when that brand of justice is acceptable/expected? Even if that were the case, it seems a tad unlikely that Lucy, Mike, and everyone else would go along with that procedure for very long, at least without showing some psychological issues (killing, especially for the first time, and in the kind of situation with Alex, does tend to cause deep-seated problems later on). Unless I’m missing something, which may very well be.
One last thing on this point: Why wouldn’t the asteroid idea sidestep the time/resources issue? It seems like a simple procedure: open portal to asteroid, shove criminal in, go have lunch. Yeah, you’d have to make sure the space rock was habitable and out of the way, but aside from that, what’s the big problem?
2 and 3) Alright, I kind of figured the self-repairing timeline thing would have to come into play. Fair enough. It’s your call as the author. This is isn’t supposed to be The Butterfly Effect, after all. But regarding your statement that people would continue to make choices as if there had been no alteration/displacement: Wouldn’t that imply a lack of true free will? If history dictates what your response to a situation will be, doesn’t that mean that choice is little more than an illusion? Some people assert that there’s no such thing as free will anyway, but I want to hear what you have to say on the matter.
4) Yeah, it took me a little while to find it myself. The only reason I remembered it was because it struck me so hard on the first reading.
Here’s the statement in question, taken from Chapter 3 (I think? There’s not an official dividing line, but it’s when they first arrive in Nazi Germany):
“ALIENS!!!” David yelled.
Paulo stared at the dog.
“What is with you and aliens, David?”
“Only one species of alien could cause our equipment to malfunction but they’re extinct.”
“How do you know?” David asked in a questioning tone.
“Because the T.L.P.F. wiped them out.”
“O-oh.” David replied.
So…yeah. I’m still questioning if I should really root for the T.L.P.F. Maybe Fizmat is onto something with the crazy computer boss scenario (I’m kidding, mostly). I know they’re supposed to be the good guys, but still….
Anyway, I’m very happy that you’re taking the time to think this sort of stuff through. You do seem to care about the validity of your story, and that’s certainly a sign of a good writer.

When Goring, followed by two black uniformed guards, opened the door that lead outside. He stopped when he saw the unconscious guards lying on the ground. The guards also saw the unconcscious bodies. Goring turned and signaled for them to head back and investigate. The guards saluted and went back, while Goring walked passed the now rusty AA gun over to his car. When he got in, his driver revealed himself.
“Sir!” He saluted, panting.
“Was it the Elusionary?” Goring asked, his face expressionless.
“Yes sir, it was.”
“Damn…”
“Should we warn Rothstein sir?”
“No. He is an intelligent man, he’ll handle the situation accordingly. And how did you not get shot?”
“I-I stayed hidden sir.”
“Coward.”
“Yes sir.”
Without another word. The driver activated the car and drove away.
Meanwhile
The two guards walked through the hall when they a saw someone who wasn’t a German soldier, ultimately, their target. They brought their rifles up.
“Halt!” They said. “Identify yourself!”
But two blue bolts hit them square in the chest, they were thrown back by the blast and fell, unconscious. The person turned and hurried down the hall, knowing that other Germans heard the shots and were on their way.
[Not a very long post but they can’t all be long, and now we (sort of) know who this new person is]

@Tayvin
Quite alright. I know how stressing family matters can be.
Your story is going well so far, and you are fixing up your grammar quite nicely. However, in the beginning of your last post, there is no need to mention Goring’s guards noticing the body because it would be logical that Goring could see it, and the unconscious guards were not hidden or anything, it would be a safe assumption that Goring’s guards could see it as well.
It also seems strange and erratic, and doesn’t flow together easily. The flowing of the words, how the story sounds, also helps to make a story a better read.
This is how it could have been written if you still wanted to add the guards:
He stopped when he, and his guards, saw the unconscious guards lying on the ground.
Remember, sometimes using your common sense, and predicting the natural predictions of others can make a story better to read than a giant wall of text filled with mostly unneeded information because people have already figured it out by themselves.

@Rasputin
Oh wow, they keep on coming, don’t they?
1: It is harsh, and whether or not it’s right is, sort of, still debatable. Remember Augustus mentioning a war? A large group of people found out how the T.L.P.F. dealt with people who didn’t listen, they thought it was wrong and they happened to be in the age where their weapons matched the T.L.P.F.’s. The T.L.P.F. won but only barely and only after losing many of its officers. As for how everyone reacts to killing, you haven’t missed something yet. But’ll become more clear far, FAR in the story.
2 and 3: This is something that revolves later in the story, so I can’t answer this right now, I’m sorry, but you’re going to have to wait
4: Oh, I missed that. Thanks for finding that. But unfortunately, this also has to do with the story later on so I can’t answer this yet. Sorry, I just can’t reveal this without giving stuff away and I don’t do that… Not anymore, at least.
I’m finding this a lot of fun, talking to other people whom I have no idea who they are in the real world about my story (I hope I’m not sounding selfish) so I’m really enjoying this.
@Fraggart
And now I know, thank you.

Augustus looked out through the bars of his and his partners’ prison cell, the group of German guards had sat down and began chatting about things that didn’t seem important. Paulo glanced at Augustus, a questioning look on his face. Augustus looked at him with a questioning look. Paulo looked slightly agitated, as if it wasn’t the answer he wanted.
Agh! Was his thought. I can’t talk to anyone because of the guards, so I need to get rid of the guards but I need to tell Augustus and everyone that I have a plan to get rid of the guards but I can’t tell them because of the guards!
Paulo stood up, his fingers tapped on the bars.
“Hey, guys!”
The Germans turned and looked at the Somali.
“I need to use the bathroon, can some of you guys escort me there?”
The guards looked at eachother.
“Should we… listen to him?”
“I don’t know, our orders were to guard over them. To make sure they didn’t escape.”
“Then, with an escort I don’t see anything wrong with that.”
Two guards stood up and opened the small gate, letting Paulo out, he didn’t pounce on the guards, just calmly walked out. When he was in the middle of all the guards, he stopped and typed a few keys on his Time Warp device.
“Hey! What are you doing?” One of the guards asked.
“A little something…” He grinned as he typed another key and his device began humming and before anyone could react, Paulo crouched and lifted up his arm. Sparks flew from his Time Warp device and all the guards were suddenly thrown back, hitting the wall and collapsing. Paulo stood and looked around, smiling when he saw all of the guards on the ground and none of them getting up. He looked at his friends, who had shocked looks on their faces.
“Did you see that!?” He yelled in victory. “Damn, I awesome!!”
“That was amazing, Paulo!” Daisy cried out.
“How’d you do that?” Augustus asked.
Paulo went and opened the gate, freeing his friends.
“During our training, another officer by the name of Tay’lom taught me how to overload all the circuits of the Time Warp device to create a small shock wave that can knock everything out within a few meters.”
“How come your okay, though?” Abbey asked.
“Eye of the storm.” Augustus answered. “That was brilliant, what you did, Paulo.”
“Thank you.” Paulo grinned.
“But it was also stupid!” Augustus suddenly looked angry. “Now your Time Warp device is useless!”
“Hey relax, self-repair systems are kicking in, it’ll be good as new in half an hour.”
“We don’t have half and hour, we have to be done here in 20 minutes.”
“How come?” Mike asked.
“I’ve been to this bunker before and I know its history. An Allied bomber will be knocked off course and it will drop its bombs directly on top of this bunker, causing the whole thing to be destroyed and it will happen at exactly 20 minutes from now.”
“Wasn’t there an AA gun out by the entrance? It could easily shoot down that bomber.” Tess said.
“There was, but I had Nanomites work on it, that thing won’t fire.”
“Why don’t we just leave and let the bomber take care of the Germans?” Lucy asked.
“This bunker was supposed to be abandoned and forgotten by the Germans when it got destroyed but something happened in the timeline that shouldn’t have and it brought them here and now it’s heavily protected but kept quiet, whatever the Germans have found, they want it to be kept secret. I think whatever they found is the source of what’s blocking us from the T.L.P.F. HQ and the destruction of this bunker might not be enough. We, at least, need to find out what they found and see if we can destroy it ourselves.”
“There’s one problem, though.” Lucy said. “We don’t have our pistols, how are we supposed to fight our way through a heavily guarded Nazi bunker?”
“Easy.” Mike said and he tapped a few keys on his device. “Our Time Warp devices can track any and all of our equipment, which includes our pistols.”
“Right! I remember now!” Tess said and tapped the same keys into her device.
Everyone followed suite, except for Paulo, who looked at his cracked and lifeless device.
Huh He thought. I shouldn’t do that trick too often.
“It looks like…” Augustus said, looking at the small screen on his device. “…Our weapons are in a large room that the German officers passed by. Good, we can pick up our weapons along the way, rather than back tracking.”
“What if we encounter any Germans?” Daisy asked.
“Simple.” Paulo said. “Knock them out before they have a chance to fire.”
“We’ll enounter quite a few guards along the way. Be ready.” Augustus said.
Meanwhile
Two blue bolts struck two more German soldiers, they fell back from the blast, unconscious. The person who had fired began to carefully move around them and then continued on down the hall.

Cautiously, and as quietly as possible, the cops walked through the halls, ready to pounce on any guards they saw. But as they continued on, they soon found 3 unconscious German soldiers lying on the ground. Daisy kneeled next to a guard and checked for a pulse.
“He’s still alive.” She said.
“What happened to them?” Abbey asked. “They don’t look like they were hit in any way.”
“You’re right.” Augustus said. “But yet they’re unconscious. Like they were hit with a Power Level 2 blast from our pistols.”
Paulo looked at Augustus.
“More Time Cops?”
Mike shook his head.
“It’s not likely Paulo. Sue and McCain, though we can’t hear them, they definitely know if we’re alive or not. They can’t completely lose our signal unless we die, and we’re probably near whatever is causing us to lose communications. So why send reinforcements?”
“Maybe because they’re hostile Nazi Germans all around us?” Abbey asked sarcastically.
“Ah, I think I know a reason to that.” Mike turned to Augustus. “The scanners don’t detect people who are in their own timeline, correct?”
“Yeah.” Augustus answered.
“What if they’re in a spot they shouldn’t be but in their own timeline?”
“The scanners don’t detect it.”
“I figured. For all Sue and McCain know, we’re in a mostly empty bunker.”
“Why do you say ‘mostly’?” Lucy asked.
“What did we orginally come here for?” Mike asked, smiling as he figured it out.
[Yes. I’m late. I am ridiculously late and why did I forget to post on this story yesterday? I don’t know. And why do I have to cut this post short? Other reasons that don’t require mentioning. I’ve been sucking lately, haven’t I?

Lucy thought about Mike’s question, then her eyes went wide.
“The Elusionary!” She said.
“Exactly! The Elusionary is here in this bunker.”
“How did you figure that out?” Augustus asked.
“I sort of… Figured it out while I was explaining why the T.L.P.F. wouldn’t send reinforcements.” Mike answered, scratching the back of his head.
“That’s impressive.” Augustus muttered. “Alright, let’s hurry down! Maybe we can catch the Elusionary or, at the very least, find out who or what he is.”
They ran down the hall, hoping to catch up to the Elusionary.
Meanwhile
Another bolt struck the German guard who stood at a doorway, he fell back from the blast, unconscious. A black gloved hand moved and opened the door to the wide, factory-like room. Cautiously and very quickly, the person sprinted from to a large pair of wooden crates. A small beeping was heard and the person lifted the right arm and pulled back the brown coat sleeve to reveal a small watch-like device beeping red. A gloved hand tapped the screen and it went silent. Pulling the sleeve back over the watch. Two eyes looked over the crates and found a row of Panzer IIIs across the wide room while another farther away was half-completed and was surrounded by technicians. The eyes ducked back into the cover of the crates and a gloved hand reached into the coat and pulled out a small rectangular device. Lifting over the crates and pointing it at the row of tanks on the other side of the room. A button was pressed and a red light from the device began to shine.
A German technician went to grab another piece of armor to attach to the last Panzer model when he saw a small red dot on one of the completed Panzers. He looked to a German guard.
“Rem!” He called. “Take a look at this.”
The guard complied and he went over to the technician, who pointed at the small red dot.
“What is that?” The guard asked when he got close enough to see.
“I don’t know, it looks like a light but it can’t be part of the tank.”
While the two Germans speculated, the red light on the device stopped shining when the same button was pressed. At the same time, the red dot disappeared, confusing the Germans even more. The person’s back was on the crates as another button was pressed and blue, holographic image of the Panzer tank formed from the small device. Delicately and with great precision, the gloved hands moved into the tank and began moving certain small pieces inside the holographic tank.
As the two Germans tried to figure what the red dot was and why it suddenly disappeared, a loud Chi-clank! was heard inside the tank.
“Is someone in there?” The guard asked.
The technician pulled out a small pistol and crawled to the top hatch of the tank, he pulled it open with a grunt and climbed inside. After a few seconds, he came out saying: “There’s no one in there.”
The gloved hands moved away and pressed a third button on the device. The holographic tank disappeared and the same red light began shining, but this time switching on and off repeatedly. A hand picked up the device and pointed it at the other tanks.
As the technician got down from the tank, another Chi-Clank! was heard from the tank next to it. Then another on the tank next to it, and the sound continued down the row of Panzers, the sound began attracting the attention of the other technicians. The Germans stared, bewildered, at the row of tanks as the sounds from each tank resonated.
After the device was pointed at each completed tank, the device was placed back in the coat and the hand that previously held it drew the pistol from its holster. Seeing that all the Germans had their attention on the tanks, the person quickly but quietly moved through the room, ducking into whatever cover that was available.
[I’ve been thinking, I think technology, when it reaches a certain point, will be indistinguishable from magic. Hence whatever the Elusionary did to the tanks.]

HA! I knew it was magic. *Silly triumphant grin*
All in all though, your story is going along smoothly, and I can’t wait to see what the Elusionary did exactly to the tanks. Though I’m guessing there will be some trouble when the Germans try to get the tank moving.

As the cops made their way through the hall, they stopped to examine any unconscious Germans they came across. They were all knocked out the same way the first guards they saw were. When they reached the door, Tess looked at her Time Warp device.
“The pistols are in this next room.” She said.
Mike went and slowly creaked the door open and looked through. After a few seconds, he ducked his back and closed the door.
“It’s a large room and there are a lot of Germans and tanks.”
“Woah, wait what? Tanks?” Paulo said. “That doesn’t make any sense! Why would there be tanks in a bunker?”
“See for yourself, there’s a whole row of them.”
Paulo looked through, a few seconds later, he closed the door and looked back at his friends, his eyes wide.
“T-there’s um… T-th-that…” He stuttered, then opened the door and looked out, then ducked back in and closed the door. “Yeah. There’s a whole row of ‘em.”
“But…” Abbey said, trying to figure it out. “That’s impossible. How could they get tanks down here? The hallways are two small.”
“I also saw a half-completed tank, I think they’re building tanks here.”
“Okay. But they’ll be useless, they can’t get the tanks out from here. It still doesn’t make sense.”
“I’m starting to get a bad, bad feeling about whatever the Germans found.” Augustus said. For a while, no one said anything as they tried to figure out what to do.
“Michael.” Augustus said. “What are the Germans doing in there right now?”
Mike opened the door and looked out, he ducked back in but left the door open.
“They’re looking through the tanks, they have all their attention on them.”
“Alright… Look and see if you can find some cover for us over there.”
Mike obeyed and looked out. He looked back.
“There are some crates not far, If we’re all careful I think we take cover there.”
“Alright. You run over and hide yourself, we’ll follow.”
Mike nodded and opened the door all the way. He took a few quick, deep breaths before charging out at top speed to the crates, followed by Augustus, Lucy, Paulo, Daisy, Abbey and Tess and finally David. After they made it to the crates, and after they managed to hide themselves behind them, Mike scanned the large room for any possible sign of their weapons. He soon spotted two scientists in the distance who were the only Germans that weren’t paying attention to the tanks, he spotted one of the pistols being examined by them. He ducked back into cover.
“Two scientists, they’ve got our weapons but…”
“…There’s no way we can reach them without being spotted, right?” Augustus finished.
“Yeah.”
“What’re we going to do?” Daisy asked.
“We run.” Augustus said, his face grim. “We run over there and we get our weapons. And prepare for one hell of a firefight.”
“You mean…?” Mike didn’t dare say it.
“We’re going to have to fight them. I’m sorry, but they were never supposed to be here, this bunker is supposed to be forgotten. It’s better for the Timeline that these Germans die now. They’re going to die anyways when that bomb hits but we’ve got to defend ourselves. If you make it your pistols, set them as fast as you can to Power Level 5 and start shooting. Don’t let a single German escape.”
“And if they use the tanks?” Paulo asked.
Augustus didn’t answer for a few minutes but to them it felt like years. Then, he took a deep breath.
“This might be a battle we’re going to lose. None of us are trained to face armored vehicles, we don’t have anything that could effectively fight a tank, not even our pistols can disintegrate them.”
“So how are we supposed to fight them?” Lucy said.
Augustus shook his head.
“We just have to do what we can.”
Mike leaned on one of the crates, his face pale.
“We might all die.” He said, his voice sounding empty.
Everyone figured that, even if they won, not all of them would make it out alive. Abbey and Daisy embraced eachother, while Paulo looked to Tess, a look of sadness in both of their eyes. Mike looked down at the ground. We could die… Oh my god we could actually die. And no one would know. No one back home would know we died. Not my mom, or my sister, or Blur, not even Sandy… He noticed Lucy was looking at him, she knew what he was thinking and he realized she was thinking of her pets. And also of him.
“Alright.” Augustus said, after a deep breath. “On three, we run out and we start this. One…”
Abbey and Daisy separated from their embrace as they got ready to run out.
“…Two…”
Mike got to a crouching posistion, ready to jump. Sandy… I’m sorry.
“…Three!”

[You know what? I’m posting a surprise post because I have nothing better to do right now.]
The German guard Rem looked away from the tanks and saw, to his surprise, the same kids that were taken prisoner earlier running across the room. And they were running for the two scientists who were examining the weapons that the kids used before. Rem brought his rifle up and yelled.
“INTRUDERS!!!” He aimed for the one with the Autumn colored scarf and fired.
Mike heard the call the guard made and heard a bullet scream behind his head. The adrenaline now pumping in Mike, he pushed himself even harder to get to the pistols. He clenched his right hand into a fist and charged at the nearest scientist, who turned to see what was going on and only noticed too late of the fist that collided with his jaw. The other scientist saw his partner fall from the blow he took but before he could anything else, Mike turned and knocked him down with a punch.
Mike wasted no time after he took out the scientists in grabbing the pistol from the second scientist’s hands. After it was in his hands, he saw a smaller box containing the rest of the pistols. Mike grabbed the box and threw it in the direction of his friends, who were running as fast as they could. The pistol flew out of the box and skidded across the floor, Augustus rolled and grabbed the nearest one. Mike took cover when more shots rang out from the rest of the guards and the technicians. Quickly setting his pistol to Power Level 5, Mike ducked out of cover and fired. The blue bolt that sprung from the pistol hit a technician who stood on a tank, he disintigrated with a scream. First blood. Mike thought as he took cover from the returning shots.
Lucy took cover behind some crates and saw a pistol on the floor on the other side of the crate. She tried to retrieve it but shots from a technician bearing a pistol kept her staying under cover, She saw Mike fire the first shot that killed the technician. Then she looked to her left and saw that they had taken a casualty as well. David laid on the ground, desperately crawling to cover while clutching his side, which was bleeding very badly, all while three Germans (one with a machine gun) continually fired at him. I’ve got to get that pistol. She thought desperately. When she looked out again, she saw that the Germans began taking cover behind the tanks and the numerous crates scattered around when more shots from Mike, Augustus, and Abbey (who had just recently retrieved his pistol) came at them.
The battle was pure chaos. Tess collasped when a bullet hit her in the should and her legs. Paulo took cover and grabbed a pistol that Abbey passed and he began covering David, who crawled as best as he could to cover. Augustus swore when a German through a stick grenade at him. It bounced across the middle of the battle and landed next to him. Moving as fast as he could, he picked up the grenade and threw it back. A scream, then an explosion, and two Germans went flying in a spray of limbs and blood. Daisy remained in cover, clutching her pistol and shaking in absolute fear.
A German Sergeant took cover behind a crate and fired at anything that popped its head on the other side. He didn’t know who they were or what those weapons were, but they both dangerous. He ducked behind cover as the strange but terrifyingly deadly blue shots zoomed by.
“You two!” He gestured to two soldiers behind cover, they turned to face him. “Go around and flank them, wait till your clear!” They nodded.
The Sergeant reloaded his machine gun, then yelled. “COVERING FIRE!!!”
All at once, German technicians and soldiers rose out of cover and fired at once, causing everyone on the other side to take cover. The two German soldiers began to move as quickly as they could to the far off side, hoping not to get spotted by their enemies. The Sergeant, and everyone else, ducked back into cover. He reloaded his gun. He looked to a nearby group of Germans armored drivers.
“You three!” He called out, they looked. “Get to the tanks!” They obeyed and made their way through.

Ahh…sorry for responding so unforgivably late! I got distracted with other things, kept telling myself I was going to get to it soon…. No good excuses :.(.
So!
*reads through points*
Mm-hm. Mm-hmmmmm….
Alright then. I certainly don’t want to squeeze the plot out of you, and since all this stuff comes into play later, I’m quite happy to wait and see where this goes.
Good job, and keep up the good work.
Also, Nazis always make good enemies, don’t they? Especially Time-Traveling Nazis.

Well, I’m an idiot. I finished the latest post for the story but I forgot to copy it in case something went wrong and something did. For some reason I accidentely closed the window and therefore lost all the work I had written for the post so, I’m sorry, but you’ll have to wait a little longer for the post to come. Also (naturally after doing all that work and losing it from a stupid mistake I made) I am very upset right now so I’m gonna stay off the forum until I calm down. Damn, that was stupid.

I hate when that happens. That’s why I became an obsessive-compulsive saver.
A different solution, I suppose, is to get OpenOffice Writer. It autosaves whatever you’re doing every, oh, two minutes it seems. Though that might only work once you’ve saved the file at least once, preferably as soon as you start writing….
Anyway, it’s free, open-source software, and it’s worked pretty well for me so far, though the dictionary/thesaurus feature needs work.

[Sorry for the long wait, here is the next (hopefully) exciting post for the story]
Lucy ducked again when the technician saw her try to move around the crate for the pistol and fired his weapon. The Khao Mannee swore under her breath. There’s no way I can get to my pistol as long as that damn technician keeps focusing on me. She looked to where Mike and Augustus were, they were completely focused on the Germans ahead of them.
I can’t get their help. She thought. Lucy looked over to her left and saw Daisy clutching a pistol, a look of terror on her face.
“Daisy!” She called out.
She looked over at Lucy.
“I need you to cover me!” The Khao Mannee yelled.
But the technician overheard her and fired shots at Daisy, keeping her still. Lucy thought she had a chance of taking her pistol but the German was fast, he darted his attention back to her and fired more shots, keeping her under cover.
Mike forgot about the excruciatingly loud noises of the battle as he fired more shots, causing Germans to take cover. So far, he had only killed that one technician, he doubted things were going well, considering they were outnumbered and up against trained soldiers and, at any time, those tanks’ engines would activate and it would be all over for them. But maybe… He thought as he saw an opening and fired more shots. …Maybe, if we take down everyone that tries to go for the tanks, we might stand a better chance. Suddenly, he heard someone on the opposite lines shout something out and then all the Germans rose and fired at everyone, causing them to take cover. When they stopped, Mike looked up and saw four Germans that weren’t soldiers running for the tanks.
“Augustus!” He yelled. He looked to his direction.
“Four Germans are heading for the tanks, we’ve got to stop them!”
Augustus saw the Germans that Mike had spoke of and aimed his pistol at them.
As they crawled up to the top of the nearest tank, a blue shot hit against the hull of the tank, causing them to turn around and see more shots screamed towards them.
“Go!” A gray cat yelled. “I’ve got you covered!” He brought his pistol out and fired. But a blue bolt struck him and he disintegrated. A German pulled the hatch open and he ushered the other two in. He ducked just as a shot screamed over his head and he grabbed out a pistol and fired in a desperate attempt to suppress his attackers. He got, firing his pistol continuously as blue bolts zoomed by him. Getting inside the hatch, he fired one last shot before closing it.
“NO!” Mike cried out as the Germans entered the tank. Now things were going to get impossibly difficult.
The Germans got to their positions inside the Panzer.
“Get ready!” One of them said. “This is going to get ugly real fast.”
One of them chuckled. The German pulled the lever that would start up the engines of the tank. But no sound came, his smile slowly disappeared.
“What happened?” Another German asked.
“The engine won’t start.”
“I’m having trouble loading the turret.” Another German reported.
“What? What do you mean?”
“Something’s wrong. Nothing’s working.”
“It must have something to do with that noise we heard from the Panzers just before the battle.”
“I sincerely hope you’re wrong. Cause, if you’re right, none of the tanks will work.”
“What about the one in storage?”
“What about it?”
“Maybe that one will still work.”
“It’s on the far side of the factory, we’ll never reach it in time.”
“We have to try, it’s our best chance.”
The Germans slowly nodded and went up and opened the hatch.
“It’s about time we brought out the Tiger.”

[I’m late. I know. I slept in. Here’s the next post though. Hope you enjoy the action.]
The German Sergeant ducked as a blue bolt streaked over his head.
“Damn it! Where the hell is the armor!?” He yelled.
The Sergeant looked to the row of Panzers and saw the three German pilots crawl out of the hatch of the tank. Figuring that something went wrong and remembering the strange noise that came from the tanks just before the battle, the Sergeant swore and in anger got up and unloaded his entire clip on the white, black-eared cat. The cat took cover but the Sergeant continued firing his machine gun, the gray cat with the scarf fired his pistol at the Sergeant, who didn’t notice the blue bolts until one hit him in the face, he disintegrated with a scream. Another soldier saw his superior disappear in front of his eyes.
This isn’t good. The soldier thought. He looked to a technician next to him.
“You!” He called, catching the cat’s attention. “Head over to the com! Inform our CO of the situation and that we need immediate assistance!”
The technician nodded and ran off away from the battle to the radio that hung on the wall. He stopped in front of it and clicked it on.
Meanwhile
Adler Rothstein was in the midst of conversation with one of the scientists when the com clicked on and a panicked voice spoke through as shots rang in the background.
“Alert! Alert!” He called. “The factory is under attack by intruders! They seem to be young and they’re using weapons I’ve never seen before. The tanks are malfunctioning and we have lost over half our personnel, we need immediate reinforcements and fast! I’m not sure if we can hold them off for much longer. Please make haste!”
The com clicked off and the entire was silent.
“It’s the prisoners.” Adler said. “How did they escape?”
“Your orders, sir?” Another officer asked. Rothstein looked to him.
“Grab 5 elite guardsmen and aid in the defense of the factory.”
“Yes sir!” The officer saluted and ran off to carry out his orders.
“As for the rest of you!” Rothstein yelled out for all in the room to hear. “Prepare for departure! We leave NOW!”
[Oh dear. The Nazis are retreating to another time. Not good.]
Comment ID #71691
“Destination. sir?” A scientist at a console asked as Rothstein neared. The officer handed the scientist a slip of paper. After unfolding it and reading the date that was written on it, he looked at his superior.
“There, sir?” He asked.
“Yes.” Rothstein answered. “I figure it’s far enough to grab some useful weapons before we begin our attack in 1941. And, since we’re going to another time, I don’t think we have to rush while we are there.”
“Yes sir!” The scientist saluted and then began setting the coordinates.
Adler looked away and saw the 2 platoons of Nazi soldiers line up in front of the ramp that led to the strange blue energy.
“Coordinates set, sir!” The scientist yelled to Rothstein, who smiled. “…Activating the Gate.”
A loud humming began to sound as four separate poles (one on each corner of the room) with large lights began to shine at the swirling blue energy. As each light turned on, the energy grew a brighter blue and it swirled faster and faster. Adler had expected wind to come from the speed of which the Gate swirled but the air remained still.
“Gate functioning at 100%” A scientist reported. “It is ready.”
“Go!” Rothstein yelled.
“Alright men, you heard him!” A German Sergeant among the platoons yelled. “Go! Go! Go!”
The soldiers began running up the ramp in formation, up to the Gate. As the first troops entered it, they seem to be ripped apart to millions of small pieces and sucked in the swirling energy.
“All troops are entering the Gate successfully.” An excited scientist reported.
Everyone began cheering as more and more troops entered the Gate. But Adler stood still as he thought.
Everyone thinks that we have now won, but what can we expect in the future? Perhaps I made a mistake in my command already by going there. But there’s no going back now, I’ll just have to do my best. But who are these kids? They come out of nowhere, they somehow manage to escape and they bear strange weapons never before seen. Perhaps they were sent here to stop us and, if that’s true, I fear that there maybe more enemies that can actually defeat us. I must be vigilant.
His thought was stopped when the officer he had sent off waved to him, the black uniformed guards standing behind him.
“Good luck, sir.” He said. “We’ll hold off the escaped prisoners as long as we can.”
Adler saluted the officer who, after he and the guard saluted back, turned and went for the door that led out.

Adler hopped into a spare Panzer and, smashing back through the door he had just come through, called across the room to a pair of thoroughly stunned technicians,
“If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits eighty-eight miles per hour….” He deftly pulled a pair of sunglasses from his inner jacket and slipped them over his eyes, all the while forcing the exhaust-belching monstrosity farther up the ramp. “You’re gonna see some serious shit.”
Kidding, kidding. Just having some fun.

*facepalm and chuckling* anyways…
Because I can’t sleep right now and have nothing to do, I shall make a post.]
As the officer and the 5 black uniformed soldiers neared the door, 2 guards stationed in front ran an pulled two levers opposite of each other. Sounds were heard in the walls as the door began to open.
“Alright.” The officer said. “We’ll head to the factory and see what the situation is, if it’s bad, we’ll retreat back to the door and stage a defense. If it’s good, we’ll aid in finishing off this little resistance. Maybe we’ll be able to make it back to Rothstein in time for the celebra-”
He was interrupted when the door opened enough to reveal another person standing on the other side of the doorway. He stared, bewildered at the person who stood before him.
“Who…What?” Was all he managed to say before a blue bolt whammed him in the chest. He crumpled to the ground as the guards were struck down by more shots before they could even bring their rifles up to bear.
Adler, upon hearing the shots of the strange weapon, spun around and brought his Walther out, firing immediately. As the last of the platoons entered the Gate, the guards that were scattered across the room, all turned upon hearing the sounds of their leader’s gun firing. Bringing their rifles and machine guns to bear on the intruder. The person quickly and gracefully side-stepped into cover, a gloved hand reached in and brought a small, rectangular device out from one of the pockets of the brown coat. A thumb pressed a button on it and threw it in the center of the area of the door where no cover was. Suddenly, after a beep, the bullets that streamed across were suddenly stopped, as if hitting an invisible wall. The person calmly stepped out and the pistol was brought to dear.
Adler stopped firing and reloaded his gun, he watched as the shots were suddenly stopped by some kind of wall. The intruder stepped out of the visible cover and brought the same weapon that Adler had seen the other kids use.
Who is this? He questioned.
A shot was fired from the pistol, and a blue bolt struck a soldier who collapsed with a grunt.
[And now we have two battles going on, one with the Time Cops and one with the Elusionary but both against Nazi Germans. So why do I not keep calling this person the Elusionary if it is the Elusionary? I don’t know.]

David crawled behind a turned over table and grabbed a medical rod from his Time Warp device. After taking a few deep breaths, drove it deep in one of his wounds, it hurt. A lot. After his wounds had healed, he looked around to see if there was a pistol on the ground near him.
Lucy stayed under cover, growing ever more impatient. She looked quickly and ducked back in when the technician fired again. Suddenly, after he fired two shots, there was a click-click as he pulled the trigger and nothing came out. The technician swore and struggled to reload the gun as fast as he could. Now was her chance! Lucy jumped over the crate and tried to grab the pistol but the German ran around and tried to punch her down but Lucy saw the fist coming and dodged it, countering with a spin and a kick. Her foot hit against the back of her foe’s leg, forcing him to kneel. Before he could react, a fist struck him in the jaw, sending him to the ground.
Michael glanced at the tanks, which remained silent. What’s going on? I failed to keep the Germans from entering at least one tank, how come none of them are on? His train of thought was interrupted when something struck him in the back of his head, knocking him to the ground. When he looked up, he saw one of the scientists he knocked out standing before him and about to step on his face. He rolled away from the blow that would’ve knocked him out and quickly recovered his footing. Noticing that he had dropped his pistol from the first blow, he charged at the scientist, who tried to punch him as he charged but Mike nimbly jumped to the side, flanking the scientist and giving him an opening. Mike struck the scientist in the back, who stumbled from the blow he took. He swung his arm around in an attempt to strike him as he spun around, but the Korat simply ducked and punched the German in the gut. He then struck the bent over scientist in the back of the his head to knock him out again. Mike smiled at his victory but it disappeared when he noticed a German soldier with a rifle pointing at him in the distance, Mike tried to run for his pistol that lay on the ground but something impacted him in the stomach and Mike crumpled to the ground, screaming.
Meanwhile
Adler ducked as a blue bolt zoomed over his head, he got back up and saw as two more soldiers were knocked down as the bolts struck them. He was only one who didn’t fire as he looked and tried to figure out how the bullets were stopped just before they hit the intruder that stood before them. It’s like they’re hitting a wall. He figured. A wall that’s stopping our shots but not this intruder’s. Who is this person? He then looked down and saw a small device that stood before the person’s feet. I wonder… He brought his pistol up, aiming carefully, and pulled the trigger. The bullet screamed out with a bang and impacted against the device, shattering it and causing sparks to fly out. Suddenly the bullets weren’t stopped by an invisible wall any longer, a shocked gasp and the person quickly took cover with a side-step. Adler smiled at his achievement.

Lucy picked up the pistol, grinning as she set it to Power Level 5, now she could help her friends. She then kneeled by a crate and fired a shot, striking an unsuspecting German soldier in the head, he disintegrated. Then, she heard a scream, there had been many screams of pain and death that she had heard throughout the battle but this one sounded horrifyingly familiar. She looked to where the scream sounded, and saw Mike clutch his stomach and collapse.
“MIKE!!!” The Khao Manee cried out. It’s happening again she thought as she tried to make her way over to him, but shots from German soldiers kept her pinned down. The memory of Mike lying on the street, bleeding and dying, lay clear in her mind. No, no, no! I can’t let him die! But I can’t get to him. What can I do? she thought desperately. She looked up and saw Augustus ahead.
Augustus heard the scream and heard the cry Lucy made, but he ignored them, focusing on wiping the Germans that were shooting at him. But his attention was broken when he heard the Khao Manee call out his name, he looked and saw Lucy pinned down, staring at him with desperate eyes.
“Mike’s been hit!” She cried out. “Help him!”
Augustus looked behind his shoulder and saw the Korat lying on the ground, clutching his stomach and groaning in what was almost certainly immense pain. Why should I risk my life by moving out of cover to save someone who can easily save himself? With that thought, he looked away, his face emotionless. He ignored Lucy’s further cries to help the Korat.
Daisy cringed when a shot impacted the crate she hid behind. W-why am I still cowering? she asked herself. It’s just like before, when me and my friends were all trapped in that alley, with that cat and dog. But this is way more terrifying then back then, but I’m armed with a more dangerous weapon, and even Abbey’s fighting along with Paulo, Lucy and Mikie. So why am I still cowering!?
She looked to her right and saw two Nazi soldiers moving up along the side, they noticed her as well and quickly brought their rifles up to bear. Reacting instinctively, Daisy aimed and fired. A blue bolt struck the nearest soldier and he disintegrated with a scream. Daisy fired again but the other soldier ducked into cover, she continued to fire at the crate where he took cover, keeping the soldier suppressed. The German soldier brought his rifle above cover and fired in a vain attempt to suppress her enough for him to get a better shot. When his rifle ran out of ammo, he decided to hell with everything and brought out a small dagger. With a battle cry, he charged out of cover and ran towards the surprised Ragamuffin/Selkirk cat. Daisy desperately fired her pistol but her shots were more rapid and less aim. As the German got closer and the shots streaked by him, missing their mark, Daisy became more panicked. Backing away just in time to dodge the blade the German held, he was about to dive his blade down on her when a bolt struck him on the side, disintegrating him. Daisy looked to where the shot came from and saw Tess standing, holding a pistol and grinning. After a wink to her, she moved closer to the center of the battle.
[Although Augustus has been too F-ing awesome throughout the story, keep in mind he is still a dick.]

[Sorry. I know I haven’t posted in a few days, I have no real good excuse, it won’t happen again]
“Dammit Augustus!” Lucy yelled. She tried to move out but more shots from German soldiers kept her suppressed. She was about to aim her pistol at Augustus when she spotted a stick grenade on the ground. As she reached out for it, a German soldier saw her move for the grenade and fired his rifle without aiming very well, the bullet screamed just over her reaching hand, skimming the fur and causing a streak of blood to appear. Lucy pulled her hand back from the shock.
Ah! Damn! If it weren’t for those damn Nazis I could’ve made it to Mike and help him! But no, I’m pinned down by the same ones that shot him down. And Augustus won’t help him, that god damn coward! Is everything trying to keep me away from Mike!?
Another shot hit against the crate, showering some splinters onto Lucy, who cringed from them. Holstering her pistol, she reached for the Time Reversal Rod attached to her Time Warp device only to find that it was gone. She looked down in shock. Then it dawned on her:
They must have taken it from my hands when I lost consciousness! The bastards! I’ve fucking had it with them!!
Her temper lost, she grabbed out her pistol and stood up, firing while she side-stepped and kneeled down, her bloody hand reaching down and grabbing the stick grenade. One German saw his window of opportunity when she tried to pull the pin, he smiled when it was aimed it at her head. But another German cried out.
“Look out! Eeeaaah!” He yelled as he jumped back from a blue bolt Augustus had fired, accidentally knocking the other soldier with his elbow. Knocking the rifle off its target and forcing the German to pull the trigger, firing the rifle.
Lucy heard the rifle fire, but as she looked up, she stumbled back as the bullet impacted against her left shoulder. Lucy screamed after a few moments of shock and, in pure anger, threw the stick grenade.
The soldier shoved the other German away as he got up, he was about to bring his rifle up and make sure that the white cat with the pink bow was going to die when something smashed into his face and he lost consciousness.
[I just realized, this is the first time I’ve had the full F-word put into any of my stories, I hope my parent don’t get mad at me, it just seems like something Lucy would think.]

Cool
If war is like paint-ball (and I know, it’s not) I would be kicking ass right now. But if I got shot, then I’d be screwed. Unless it was in the arm or leg or something, then I’d keep fighting. Good work on the story, very action packed and mystifying. On the hole, time travel is very confusing to me and F.Y.I. the future duplicate is always doomed.
P.S. I’m practicing drawing the B.C.B. characters and as soon as I get good I would love to draw this. That being said, I normally suck at drawing. But practice makes perfect and I’m a quick learner, so ya… keep up the good work

The German crumpled from the impact of the stick grenade, the other soldier who had accidentally knocked into him saw the grenade and yelled at the top of his lungs.
“GRENADE! TAKE COVER!!!”
With that cry, all the Germans near the man who cried the warning, dived out of cover to avoid the imminent explosion. Augustus, Abbey, Paulo and Tess saw their chance fired at the Germans who had moved out of cover. Killing all but three Germans, 2 soldiers and a technician who managed to take cover behind whatever they could get to.
“Go! Go!” Augustus yelled, ushering his partners to charge. “That’s most of the Germans dead now, only a few stragglers are left! Let’s finish them off!”
With a battlecry from David (who still had no pistol) everyone, except Lucy who ran to Mike, moved out of their cover and charged, firing shots at the remaining Germans to keep them suppressed. It worked, the Germans, unable to look at their charging attackers, fired aimlessly in a desperate and vain attempt to stop the charge. David was the first to reach the technician. He jumped on the technician’s exposed back, surprising the German. The cat struggled to get David off him while the dog hanged on. The German got an advantage when he knocked David in the gut with his elbow, forcing the dog to let go, allowing the technician to turn and punch David. He then brought his pistol up to bear but before he could fire, a blue bolt from Paulo’s pistol slammed against the side of the technician, disintegrating him.
Augustus moved around the crate a German soldier was hiding and stuck the pistol right against his face. He grinned at the look of terror from the soldier’s face before pulling the trigger.
As the last of the soldiers were dealt with, Lucy ran to where Mike lay, a look of complete worry on her face. But as she neared him, she saw the Korat pull his Time Reversal Rod away from his now healed injury.
“Are you okay?” She asked. Mike looked up and stared at her.
“Yeah, I’m fine but, ow, stomach shots hurt like nothing before. One twitch of the torso and you’re in agonizing pain.” He shuddered.
Lucy looked at the rest of the battle and saw her friends kill the last of the German soldiers.
“It looks like we won.” She reported.
“What? We won? Oh my god!” He stood up and looked at the scene before, then looked at the row of Panzer tanks which remained silent. “But… the tanks… I saw some Germans get in one of them earlier in the battle, I thought we were dead for sure.”
Lucy ignored what Mike was saying when she saw Augustus in the distance and remembered what he had not done. Anger clear on her face, she marched off, focusing only on Augustus.
“Lucy? Where are you going?” Mike slowly followed.

Daisy stood, panting as she looked around, dazed.
“D-did we win?” She asked. “Did we survive?”
“Yeah.” Tess answered. “We did.”
Daisy stared past Tess, completely shocked.
“Oh my god… We… We won. Did everyone make it out okay?”
“I took a hit to the shoulder but I’m fine now.” Tess said.
“I took some major hits but I’m still runnin’ strong!” David answered in a triumphant tone.
“We’re all okay.” Paulo answered.
“Oh my god, we all survived?” Abbey said, then he smiled. “We all survived!!” He cheered, raising his hand in the air. “We beat the Nazis!”
“Yee-Haw!” David cheered.
Daisy ran and tackled Abbey with a hug, surprising him at first but he quickly wrapped his arms around his lover.
“I’m glad you’re okay.” She said.
“Me too.” Abbey replied quietly.
“Luck.” Augustus said, catching everyone’s attention. He stared at the row of Panzers. “That’s the only reason we won, luck. The tanks had not been used throughout the entire battle. If they had been, we would probably all be dead right now.”
“You’re a real day brightener.” Abbey said, then notice Lucy storm past him.
“Something must’ve went wrong with them.” He said, ignoring Abbey’s remark. “But what happened exactly? It couldn’t have been an accident, so it must have been some kind of sabo-”
He never finished his sentence when Lucy punched him in the jaw as hard as she could, sending him flying to the ground. Augustus coughed and some blood came out, wiping his face, he got up.
“Woah! Lucy, what was that all about?” Paulo said.
“You bastard!” The enraged Khao Manee yelled. “Michael had taken a hit from a German rifle and I called for you to help him and what did you do? Nothing!” She tried to punch him again but Augustus swiftly side-stepped.
“By going to him, I would have to have moved out of cover making myself vulnerable to enemy fire. On top of that, your friend only sustained an injury he could easily have fixed up himself. Were he unconscious or more seriously injured I would’ve considered going to help but he didn’t need it.”
“And what if the pain was too much for him!?”
“He’s a trained officer, like you, he should be able to overcome something as simple as pain.”
“Mikie was wounded?” Daisy said, Augustus looked to her. “And you didn’t even help him?” The look she gave him was a look of anger and disappointment mixed together. Though it was the same as everyone else, Daisy’s shook Augustus deeply. He wanted to move close to her and say he was sorry, it showed in his eyes. Abbey saw and understood the look and moved next to Daisy, staring at Augustus with a look that said four words: Keep away from her.
Before anyone could say or do anything else, a loud screeching noise was heard across the entire factory. Augustus looked past the Panzers and saw a previously hidden and large door open up from the wall.
“I don’t think this battle is quite done yet.” He said, drawing his pistol
Meanwhile
“The gate is opening up!” A German driver said.
“Good. It’s a good thing we kept this in a storage area, now let’s finish these insurgents off with the might of the King Tiger!”
A large Tiger II tank rolled out, its long 88mm turret gleaming against the light.
Mike stared, wide-eyed as the large behemoth rolled closer to them.
“Oh shi- TAKE COVER!”
The officers scattered, avoiding the fire from the machine gun.
[Well, after facing a large number of German soldiers and technicians and miraculously making it out alive, they’ve got a Tiger II tank to face which, for those who don’t know, was one of the best tanks constructed by the Germans in 1941]

good job with the writings so far. but my mind keeps wondering back to all the unconscious germans. why didnt the cops take their guns? if they were guards then they should all have a walter PPK and an MP-40. id personally take that over the disintegrate gun on short notice… mostly because of full auto, and suppresion.
on another note, i like the way you handled the battle. very (semi) realistic.
will check back again later (tommorow) for update.

ah, I considered covering that in Chapter 2 but I had already covered so much that I thought that I should save it for this chapter but… Well, I forgot. My bad *punches himself over and over again*
I’ll just deal with this now: Although it wasn’t covered very well, if at all, the pistols have no recoil whatsoever and are very lightweight, making it very easy for even a 5 year old to use a pistol, but supposed the kid tried using a Walther P38? The sudden recoil would be too much for the kid to handle, I would think. Now, maybe the cast could use the weapons but it would take them time for them to learn how to use the different weapons (for, you know, things like reloading the gun). Plus, they weren’t expecting to run into a large factory-like room with lots of Germans in it and remember, they need to find the source of what is cutting them off from the T.L.P.F. HQ before the Allied Bomber comes and destroys the bunker so they just didn’t have the time to stop and learn how to use the weapons. Maybe they should’ve learned how to use them during their training perhaps? But the problem is that there are so many kinds of guns out there (if you remember that they’re time travelers) that learning them all would take forever, and even if they learned one type of weapons for a certain age, what good will it do them if they’re in a totally different age?
I hope this long wall of text answers your question. If not, then keep asking, I’m sure I can answer it.

Basic firearm training, for earth: clip replacment, cocking the weapon, adjusting for recoil. every weapon in the world (save launchers) use this system. i can understand not teaching them how to use bolt action weapons.
something else i was meaning to coment on, but the TWD, will always in my mind look like the TMD from singularity.
(i can not for the life of me find a good picture so, heres a crappy one)
This is it under construction
and this is the rest of it (the orange thing)on the guys hand (ignore the soldier.)

something else, what did the ellusionary do to the tanks?
why cant the pistol thingy disintegrate light armour?
what happened to the crew that ran off to go find the tiger?
why would they build a tiger when they could build a king tiger?
(i know you wont answer this but what the hell,) what time did major whats-his-nuts go to?
did the time cops figure out what came first? (the chicken or the egg)
well, now that i have asked all i can think of at this very moment, i must away!

I thought the T.W.D. looked some thing more of a needle with two neon green rings at the end, Space aged and what not. Also… it was the chicken wasn’t it.

firing a gun is (at least to me) is more common sense than any thing else
Up to the end of the war the allies had not introduce any effective means to counter the threat of the tiger II
my favored germen guns are the karabiner 98 kurz, and the sturmgewehr 44
i would think the germen’s hid some panzerschreckes around there in case of an emergency. i bet they could find one
Comment ID #75214
@cracktastic: i completely agree with you, in everything you say. except for the panzerschreckes. i’m pretty sure that a 16 year old wouldn’t actively know how to use a one.
the panzerfaust however, is just aim, fire, and forget. that one, i could see them being able to use.
kar 98 FTW.
the allies did have an effective tactic vs the tiger 2s though. they would send ~5 Stuarts at it, 4 of which would be distractions and die, while one sneaks up behind it and fires at its unprotected back side

Ah kind of like a tank in a game I played once

what did the Elusionary do to the tanks? Something that caused it to not start up and most certainly jammed the weapons.
why cant the pistol thingy disintegrate light armour? The pistol only disintegrates organic matter, as well as ‘simple’ materials such as cloth and leather. And here’s a curious little thing, wood is completely impervious to the pistols shots (even when it’s at Power Level 5) Some scientists (including the Clock) in the T.L.P.F. are trying to figure out why.
what happened to the crew that ran off to go find the tiger? they found the tank, it’s right now driving towards everyone.
why would they build a tiger when they could build a king tiger? They did build a King tiger, like I said before it’s driving towards everyone
what time did major whats-his-nuts go to? His name is Adler Rothstein and he has not yet left through the portal/gate/swirly thingy. As to where he sent his troops, you’re right I will not tell you.
did the time cops figure out what came first? The microbes, then the fish, then the eggs that the fish laid, and some new evolution creature that walked up on shore and ate some fruit or meat (Spore reference, lol) then became the chicken.
and um… in all honesty guys… *sigh* I wrote myself into a little bit of a plot hole, shit… sorry guys, I hope it’s not that big of a plot hole, is it? ugh…

When you finish this, you should read “The End of Eternity”. But not before, don’t spoil your view on the whole “time law enforcement” thing by somebody else’s ideas. Then read and compare. Maybe you are his reincarnation.
The whole “no taking chances” thing really contrasts with “let’s let these two impressionable teenagers that just were in a life-or-death situation that people tend to remember forever run along, they’ll forget about it when they can’t explain it. And nothing verifies it actually happened except each other and everybody else who heard the shots” But whatever, the story needs to start somehow. Maybe Augustus just secretly loves Mike and couldn’t bring himself to kill him.
I doubt Nazis have teleporters. More likely they’re planning to send tanks to 1941. Or World War 1. Now that would be a twist.
