I dont know why but theres no more good movies now.Only medium,cliche like story,game adaptions(they always fail),movie based on cartoon or anime(fail sometimes)

I think the last movie I watched was The Bounty Hunter with my cousin. It was pretty decent. Had some funny moments.

@Kou: do you know pocahontas? well I think avatar wa sbasically aremake- I heard somethign about Avatar 2- but seriously? what do they want to do for that? some happy living, or a new force that attacks the planet?- I think the movie was pretty well made, but like you said- there are no real good movies anymore- movies ar emade to earn money these days, not for the….however you call this passion thing before *sigh*
@Toasty: Yes, I heard that this is a funny one ^^ *Haven’t watched that yet

I think the last movie we saw was Avatar, but we’ve been on a minor Quentin Tarantino binge at home lately. I think Vero liked Inglorious Basterds best though.

I watched Alice, How To Train Your Dragon, Avatar, and Clach of the Titans.
I’m having such an awesome month.

I also just watched Blair witch project. I remember watching it when i was young, but watching it now just gave the creeps XD

Thank you guys~ now I’ve got a not to small list of movies to watch in the near future xD
@Ved, I didn’t really like Alice, the story wasn’t as much as we(people) expected. Httyd was great though ^^

Last movie I saw was Clash of the Titans. It was better than I thought it would be, but the acting still put me to sleep and the rewrite made me want to cry. The shout out to the mechanical Athena’s owl from the original movie was awesome though. Oh yeah, and special effects.

I was in France when How to Train your Dragons came out (they just call it “Dragons”, which is SOOO much easier), so I watched it there. I speak enough French to get by, but I’m not fluent; despite that, I absolutely loved the movie. I’m going out with a friend sometime soon to see it in English. ^^ Alice in Wonderland was a pretty good movie too, and I liked Avatar, even with (and maybe because of) the cliche-ness.
I guess I’m just not a very good film critic… I can nitpick at movies, but in the end, I’ve only seen two or three movies that I didn’t like. XD

how to train your dragon is an amazing movie
apparently i sound like the main character EVEN THOUGH HE IS ALWAYS WHINING AAA

Last good movie I watched was the Hangover last week. I know I’m late to the party but it’s awesome! I hope the sequel is as good or better… ![]()

Last movie I saw in theater was Avatar…which I thought was an absolutely visually stunning turd. The best part of the movie was Colonel Quaritch, just because of how incredibly over-the-top badass-grizzled he was. I mean, seriously, he catches on fire at one point, and doesn’t even bat an eye, “Oh, hey, I guess I’m on fire….should probably do something about that…but lemme get my seatbelt on here…safety first.”
Recently rented Inglorious Basterds, which I thought was….well I guess I’d have to call it “satisfying”.

Saw Kick-ass yesterday. Bloody awesome. For an over-used theme, it was unexpected the way they executed it. And Nicholas Cage gets killed during it.My kind of movie… XD
Comment ID #5727
Souppy is correct about the Tarantino binge, we watched Pulp Fiction and that one movie with the airport lady that was kind of forgettable, but Inglorious Basterds was delightful.
I’m absolutely curious to see How To Train Your Dragon now because I thought Dreamworks is terrible at movies, but people seem to really really love it.
and because i am a loser i wanna watch the scott pilgrim movie
((( ngnghgghh

I saw Kick-Ass on Saturday. It was dare I say it? “KICK ASS”. Well, the blood and violence overshadowed the clever script writing, but hey, they carterred to their choice demographic.
Also, cannot wait for Scott Pilgrim

@Gabriel Kaxbe
The Graphic novel is supposed to be even more violent. I’m getting a loan of it form one of my mates so I can’t wait!
@Taeshi
Inglourious? Really? It was bloody awful! It was just a shit load of violence with no real backstory to it. I want to see How To Train Your Dragon, and the Scott Pilgrim movie looks groovy…
Comment ID #5997
@Pronkat: Yeah, I heard about that. I’m planning on getting the books so I can see for myself. However, they could have had the dialog work with the violence more.
Comment ID #6005
Spoken like someone that doesn’t understand good movies!
I have to say I am interested in Kick Ass, though. Seems like it’s well regarded.

Comment ID #6047
@ Pronkat: Wait, what? Inglorious Basterds was just a bunch of violence? Surely you must be thinking of a different movie! I mean, it was pretty much just a bunch of talking in French, a good amount of German, and a little bit of English.
Last movie I saw was Avatar in January, aside from being Space Pocahontas it was pretty cool. The major thing I didn’t like were those really big gunships, they look way too much like Orca Transports from Tiberian Sun, just with a military green color scheme rather than gold.

Do they even have Jews in Australia?
Comment ID #6192
@Suitcase
Did you mean that at me or Kaxbe?
@Archimantis
That movie was just another whine about Americans not getting to kill Hitler. I mean can’t it just be accepted that a now defunct union of less technologically advanced people and polar economic interests got to his remains first? No, instead there needs to be a whole nonsensical and rather pointless series of shoot offs in a movie with more plot-holes than I can care to take a guess at. The most obvious being the worst security in the world ever for then most powerful man in the world.
@Quacksalver
I don’t know about Jews, but I had to learn a song in primary about an Irish guy called Michael who’s captured by the R.I.C. then sent to Australia as he was stealing corn to save his starving family during the Great Famine. They took it to England during the Troubles (cause they are rebels yo) and it changed to become the Liverpool F.C. anthem.
Wasn’t there a sketch from the Flight of Concords about people thinking that they were Australian and because most New Yorkers think Australia = England they get into a lot of stick? I remember there was a loat of bird-flipping in that one and surprisingly the BBC didn’t censor it, much.

wait what the hell are you talking about
“Wasn’t there a sketch from the Flight of Concords about people thinking that they were Australian and because most New Yorkers think Australia = England they get into a lot of stick?”

“All Latinos are only good for gay prostitutes”
……wwwwwwhat? Who the fuck says that? Is that some Irish thing? Cause I live in America, home of the boarder patrol and the KKK, and I have never heard anything like that before.
Also, just to be clear, we all realize I was just expounding on the Mel Gibson joke with that “are there jews in Australia” comment, right?
Also also, just to stay on topic, anybody know what the deal is with that new Dark Crystal movie, or the supposed Neuromancer movie?

Last film I watched in the cinema was Kick Ass, I saw How to Train Your Dragon as well and Alice in Wonderland, I thought Alice was completely pointless in 3D however HTTYD was amazing in 3D, HTTYD is the best film I’ve seen in 3D and the best film I’ve seen at the cinema this year.
Comment ID #6299
Dragon!
It was actually fairly mature about things considering it seemed aimed at kids. And Toothless was a freaking bad ass.
Comment ID #6328
Pronkat, yeah, I was referring to you. Inglorious Basterds is actually a homage to wartime filmmaking amongst other things. It’s certainly not filled with plot holes and all the violent scenes are incredibly compelling and interesting. You realise the film is like 3 hours long with most of that 3 hours being taken up by uncomfortable dialogue? That’s a Tarantino movie. Too bad you weren’t paying attention to the scriptwriting and music and cinematography and all the other things done so well!
Also yeah, I’ve been to America three times and Australia is generally understood to be quite separate from Australia, in New York or otherwise. We do get mixed up with New Zealanders a lot, and while I haven’t seen that one I can imagine that would have been fruitful grounds for a dreadfully unfunny song from the Flight of the Conchords guys.

That film did have a great load of Plotholes. The major one is how the hell would Marcel walk around a cinema filled with the most racist people in the world, not run into any difficulty whatsoever and jam the screen’s entrance gate? And then he got out went round the back and lit the films, We are talking about Hitler, someone who had around 15 murders attempted at him in two years. The film was changed from a grandiose cinema to a small relatively unknown place and the security wasn’t tightened? Then the two with the bombs just simply run and start shooting at Hitler no problem. No large patrol or owt like it, just two dumb guards that get killed and that’s it. And how did they get in to begin with? A half-assed excuse about being Italian film makers. It’s a cinema filled with Germans, the film is about their national pride (I mean it’s called that for crying out loud) and there’s a whole German atmosphere to the scene, so even if they were allies, two Italian people wouldn’t have had any business there anyhow. Yet they walk in with no problem whatsoever. Landa is the only one who just seems to realise anything is going on. And no because he’s a genius at what he does, but because he’s the only one with common sense. The awkward conversation came mainly from Brad Pitt’s horrendously poor acting in the film. The violence wasn’t interesting, it just became plain tedious as it dragged on and on. I did notice the music. The song they used for the Shosanna/Emannuelle’s showdown was completely unfitting. I’ll agree that the cinematography was pretty well executed though.
Comment ID #6650
Marcel got by because Zoller and Hitler were so interested in using Shosanna’s theatre. Isn’t there a scene where she’s like “If you want to use my theatre, you will let him help?” or something? It’s conceivable Hitler or Goebbels informed all the men that he was part of the staff there and should be allowed to do as he pleases to ensure the movie played properly.
There’s nothing absurd about Italian filmmakers being present. The Italians did make films, and they weren’t exactly enemies of Germany at that stage.
It was a bit of a stretch that the two Basterds were able to leave the theatre without security noticing. But it could have happened, if they were lucky.
As for the music\Brad Pitt’s acting, I suppose you just didn’t “get it”. A shame.

My god i hated Inglorious Basterds with a passion way WAY to much talking and only a little of it was funny. Now Avatar was a good movie it had a lot of shooting and action sences and only a little (but enough) romance and the lessons the movie tried to teach people were good.
See i’m a world war 2 nut and theres no one in histery that i respect more then the people that fought that war. And when people f@#k with it i tend to lose intrest.
And i know it’s a comedy but that movie just make’s them look like dumb @$$’s.
I geuss i’m too serious for this kind of movie.
