Well, there’s Kaydee, Karl, Zeke (sorry), and I can’t find Paolo. I need to look at his gun to see if it was rigged, but he’s nowhere to be found.

His bright orange vest, which he kept on anytime he left his tent is sitting at the base of the tree* Why did that have to happen right then and there. Five minutes earlier, and I would never have reacted like this. After the way Katherine spoke of them as a couple, she was so sincere, so passionate about it. Something clicked, I’ve never felt like this before, then my gun went off…
*He’s still clearly troubled by the events as he tries to sort out his thoughts alone*

*Heads off with Mitchell into the forest to try to find Paolo*

I’ve seen awful things done to people. It’s how dad built his life, and one day that’s going to be me. So why is this troubling me so much? I’ve seen worse, and not thought anything of it. Suddenly some poor woodsman dies, and all I can think of is him and his wife? They’re not important, I am, so why can’t I just brush this off?

Thank god, we found you! Everyone at the camp, save maybe Jennifer and Raquel, were worried about you. Also, I’m almost positive you didn’t do it, but I need to inspect oyur gun first. I think it may have been rigged.

Worried about me? I doubt it, everyone thinks I’m the killer now. You probably just want me to go back to the camp so when I get there, you can all take your revenge on me or something. *He sniffles and continues to stare at the stars*

No, of course not. (wow, you’re being more dramatic than me! xD) It was just Katherine getting distressed about the accident and taking her feelings out on everyone else. I was just as much a victim as you were. And nobody will be able to tell for certain in their heads that you’re not the killer unless you show me where your gun is.

(Damn, suspense-filled part of El-Hazard priming my mood for drama, to the point of me imitating their styles! xD)

I dropped my gun after it went off, I don’t have it anymore and I just…I can’t face Katherine, not after what I’ve done to her.

(alright, yay @ paolo for getting his moment, i feel whatever you could have come up with before I died would not have been as powerful. Tommorrow I will be starting thread 2 of this.
